My main issue that has caused major concern is while I was driving down the road. The steering all of a sudden jerked and I was almost in an accident. I immediately took it down to my mechanic and he stated that the control arm of the vehicle was bad. I did replace all four tires and got an alignment prior to this happening. Now,this was the most serious incident. I purchased this vehicle in 2022. I have had nothing but problems with it. The first two months I had it. I had to replace the mass airflow sensor not only once but twice. Then a couple months later the serpentine belt went out, replaced that, then of course it goes out again 6th months later. Replaced again!. In addition to that I have had several electrical issues, I think I replaced more tail lights, fog lights, and headlights on this vehicle than all my previous vehicles put together and I have owned many. The engine makes a funny sound every time I accelerate, I have yet to diagnose that one. The fuel door spring busted which results in my check engine light always on, the visor broke and won't stay up, had to replace that. I have been through 4 sets of tires since I purchased it. I only live a mile from work, I don't put a lot of miles on the vehicle. I have a disabled wife and I need reliable transportation. I have spent thousands of dollars to fix this car and the problems keep coming. I've almost spent more money on it than the car payment and insurance for 3 years. There is definitely something wrong with this vehicle and I think Nissan corporation should be held liable.

Yes the tire sensor light is on and the suspension has gone out and I have been advised that it needs struts and sway bar links and that I can not drive it or it will cause a wreck/collision. . Nissan has a recall on Nissan Maximas for suspension but said my model is not included and what is recalled on other Maximas is exactly what’s wrong with mine! my car sounds like it’s about to fall apart.

Nissan has a extended warranty on rear lower control links and my car is under that warranty , but Nissan USA requests that rear lower links be cracked or broken in order for a Nissan dealer to change them , and my car is having misalignment on rear cause of the rear lower links you can give me a call to discuss this matter at 4848940143.
Failure of multiple systems upon impact with a pothole causing the vehicle to light up brake warning light, traction control system warning light, and spin out with no steering capability, resulting in a total loss of the car, including the rear passenger tire and wheel to sheer off, snapped the tie rod, ripped off the rear bumper, and bent the vehicle rims. I suffered a closed head injury and whiplash, as well as soft tissue damage to right shoulder and knee. Airbags did deploy.

I recently had my father pass away and my mom gave me his car , the air conditioning stopped working then the serpentine belt broke so I had a mobile mechanic come out and replace serpentine belt and tensioner. Then the power steering wheel fell off on freeway luckily no one was hurt I had to have the power steering pump replaced and another new serpentine belt installed. Then I went to get tires and an alignment done on the vehicle because it was driving kinda weird to be informed that the struts need replaced when I know my father had the struts replaced less then a year ago . Now today I was driving came to a red light and lost all power I could not even use hazard lights because I had no power. I was stuck there. I had to get towed home and purchased a new battery then called a mobile mechanic and was informed I have an ecm failure. With that being said car is unsafe to drive OH and serpentine belt broke again.
Unknown. Recently bought vehicle, it's in great condition other than there is noticeable problems with the front and rear steering and suspension, missing airbags with no sign of being wrecked, windows and window buttons don't work as well as power seat, and a awful gas smell and fume. Inside vehicle after. Pumping gas. Wanting to see about any recalls or defects that can be fixed without out of pocket costs if at all possible . Don't know the vehicles recall or repair history.

Driver side rear lower suspension broke while driving which caused a wheel misalignment and tire worn within few weeks. Nissan is not recalling any cars but instead they extended the warranty but only fixing the cars when the arms corrode. . Read more...
I was driving at 25 mph when I heard and felt a clunk. The car drove strangely and each small bump in the road was noisy. I pulled over and did not see anything obvious. I put on my flashers and drove the car to my mechanic. He discovered a broken rear wheel control arm. He said I was lucky this happened at a low speed rate. Nissan has refused and coverage. I was told by my mechanic that this is not a part that should fail on a 2016 car and could have resulted is a serious accident at a higher rate of speed.
Purchased in 2015 & driven less than 50,000 miles when a popping noise started during braking or traveling over bumps. Mechanic diagnosed & replaced the right lower control arm. Part should not have failed under low mileage conditions.

Is experiencing banging sound coming from rear suspension under the car. Banging noise when going over bumps ,fighting to control vehicle at moderate speeds. Car was brought new, only as 54k miles. I feel I'm being stalled until warranty expires at 60k miles please help.
I own a 2009 Maxima. I took the vehicle into a repair shop to diagnose a problem that I was experiencing with the suspension. The vehicle made a thumping noise on rough or bumpy road surfaces and felt as though the front end was going to break apart whenever I hit even a small pot-hole. I was told that the complete strut assembly as well as the lower control arms had to be replaced. I was also advised that my vehicle was unsafe to drive. The cost and labor to replace these parts is approx. $1,400. I can't afford to repair the vehicle at this time as I am unemployed due to covid-19. I'm no mechanic but I will have to attempt to repair the vehicle myself.
My transmission sounds very loud when I accelerate until I get to about 55 mph. It seems to feel rough as well during that period. This happens every time I accelerate. My passenger seat doesn't blow cold air.
When you're driving in hazardous conditions the car loses stability and it caused me to go into a spin and hit a wall, anytime it rains you can feel that the car starts to lose grip of the road and I fear for my life every time it remotely starts to rain or the road is wet. And there's a recall on the Nissan Maxima regarding the rear suspension something and the effect of the recall on that vehicle is what's happening to my vehicle.

For while the car would vibrate when hitting even the slide is bump causing instability in not only steering noises clicking but once we save enough money to pay for the fix finally finding out it was the insulator for the strut this part of the same recall which stated this insulator was a different manufacturer therefore not applicable to this recall.
Me and my boyfriend were sold this car for 2500 and the car needed a new battery, a new converter . Once I brought those items and put them in the car started having compression problems to the point it has a slow take off , cannot go up hills , and we have to shift gears just for it to move . . This car was sold to us like this and we almost fell off a cliff because of the compression problem and not being able to go up any hills . . The people who sold us the car said they will not fix the problem or refund our money .

Rear cradle bar that holds suspension is rusted with holes on both sides near the rear tires.
Inti steering lock wouldnt allow me to turn engine off after parking in my driveway then not starting after I had to disconnect battery cable to stop engine which I am finding out to be widespread problem with this year model & others also have been informed of recall issue with both front struts same year & models.
The shock insulators are falling apart and causing the vehicle to become hard to handle as well as causing a metal to metal sound when driving. Vehicle has vecome extremely hard to control driving highway speeds. I had to gave vegicle towed home because my wife was scared the vehicle was going tonlose control on highway. It went from slightly noticable to pretty much dangerous to drive overnight. This vehicle barely gas 100000 miles on it and the way the rubber insulator has deteriorated is worse than any 20 year old vehicle with 200000 miles. The insulator is listed as a recall however it does not shows my VIN number as having no unrepaired recalls. Carfax does not show this repaur has been done. Due to this being a recall it would be listed on car fax as a repair.
I have had to replace the axle on my car in 2013 and in 2019 which has been cracked each time. It was stationary and I was having my brakes done.
The car has a sound as if it were metal fatigue in the front of the hood a hard blow sounds loud every time the car moves from one side to the other they have not been able to find the problem they say what is a factory defect I am afraid that it is a metal that is under fatigue and the engine falls on the ground running on the street.

Strut insulator on pasenger side was cracked. I had it replaced with new strut and insulator and was iformed that the driver side needed to be replaced as well. Everytime the vechicle was driven hitting any sligh dip in the road or bump would cause the strut to sound as it the wheel was abou to fall off the car. I order a new strut and mount Aug 2018 and had it replaced .
When looking up my make model and year of car, your site seems to indicate a "suspension/strut insulator cracking" problem, however, when I contacted the Nissan dealership, they say for my VIN # there is only one recall and it is for a "steering column" problem . I just want to know all the facts before I take it in for repairs this Thursday, March 29, 2018.
Takata recall. At 80k miles my vehicle is idling while in park and also while accelerating its doing a jerk and feels as if it doesn't want to go into gear to reach higher speed. I checked the code and it read as a air mass flow sensor, catalyst converter, and O2 sensor. The car turned off on me while on, jump started it and turned back on. I changed the mass air flow sensor and its still doing the same thing. I took it to the mechanic and the mechanic said the code says battery and other things. Reccommended we start cheap by changing the battery and going from there. I changed the battery and the computer now says O2 sensor. I keep dumping alot of money into this vehicle and to me it seems that this issue is also happening many others including my close friend who owns the same vehicle.
