Left rear seat bracket broke.
Driver seat broke during driving on highway coming around a curve. The movement was guick, had to hold onto steering wheel to maintain control. Took next exit off to gather what just happen. That's when I rock the seat and knew it was broken. I was driving back from out of town and had over 140 miles to make it home. I had to drive with caution, because I wasn't for sure if the back would fall back into the rear seat. My passenger google for information on youtube and found this had happened before with other Murano. The manufacturer has not issued any recall on a defects with their seats. Nissan has not informed me on any recall with this vehicle. Some type of assistance with this major equipment need to be address quickly. Driving with a seat falling from you can cause serious injuries to the individual and others. Safety of customers should be a major priority. Nissan manufacturer need to step up an own responsibility for their defect. I own other Nissan vehicle and have family members that own Nissan vehicle, we or disappointed with how Nissan is handling their customer.
Left rear seat track broke causing the seat to lean and move back and forth. This vehicle is driven by a average person of appx 170 lbs. According to Nissan this is getting to be a problem in other vehicles and a very expense problem to fix. Why would this not be covered under a warranty or recall?.
I have a 2006 Murano. I was driving road and my drivers seat drop to the left side. This almost threw me in the back seat. I had to swirl to keep from hitting a car. I had my kid in the car with me. I have been driving over 30 years and never has this happen to me. What is it going to take for Nissan to recall this issue. How many people have to die in order to get this problem resolve.
When my wife was driving the vehicle she heard a loud pop and suddenly the seat fell to the left agains the drivers side door. She almost lost control of the vehicle and had to pull to the side of the road. When she got out of the car to see what happened she noticed that the seat was very unstable and when pushed to the center of the car with one finger was no longer attached to the floor of the car. When I was called to insoect the vehicle I found that the frame of the drivers side seat had sheared into two pieces and in fact she was right. The seat was no longer attached to the floor on the left side of the seat. I looked this up on the web and there are hundreds of complaints about this same thing happening to other americans who bought this car. Note: this car is a 2006 but, my wife only drives it on the weekends and the car has very low mileage as ndicated above. This is a very bad safety issue as the seat could now break loose on the other side and the whole seat could wind up falling into the rear seat area. This would definitely cause a loss of control of the vehicle when the steering wheel would be ripped out of the drivers hands and their feet would be pulled away from the gas and the brake pedals.
I sat down in the drivers seat, started to pull out of the parking lot and heard a cracking sound and felt the left rear of the seat drop down 1-2 inches. The seat rocks from side to side while driving. After looking in the area of the prior loud cracking sound, I found the left rear seat bracket is broken. This is very unsafe. There are hundreds of reports on the internet of this part failing in many years of the Murano vehicle and an updated stronger part is now available. This has been an on going probelm with the Murano and feel this type of incident should be the subject of a recall and repaired for no cost to the owner.
I was pulling out of as parking lot with hot coffee in my cup holder. My mother was in the passenger seat and my 11 year old son was in the back seat. I heard a clunk and my seat jolted backward making controlling my vehicle extremely difficult almsot resulting in hitting a gas station sign and jutting out into a major roadway. The coffee spilled into my lap adding to the already severe problem.

Driving e on mass pike at 65mph. Pressed firmly on brakes and noticed driver seat shifted. After this seat seemed unstable and continued moving whenever weight was shifted to left side of seat. After looking at seat under carriage noticed that the only steel frame support on left rear of seat is totally sheared off. Follow up with Nissan shows this is a $1000 repair and is a common problem, parts in stock.
The drivers seat left bracket broke free from frame, causing the seat to tilt to the left and wobble when you drive and take corners. After research online, there are thousands of cases of this with the Murano and no one seems to be getting a recall off the ground. It is the same weld the same side of the same seat in each Murano, how much logic does it take to get this under recall? this is a safety hazard as the chair is unstable. Also common sense tells us with the left side broken the right side weld is under more stress and physics will prove it will break as well leaving the driving seat unattached completely and the driver using the steering wheel to keep from being thrown into the back seat. I called Nissan and got a bunch of bs propaganda double speak and feel like any complaint I was trying to file was crumpled and tossed into the trash before I was even off the phone. I have loved my Murano up to this point, but since Nissan won't stand behind their work or correct what is clearly a manufacter's defect, then I will not be buying another one. Ever!.
Driver's side left rear seat hinge broke in two pieces. No extreme wear or tear done to this seat, and the metal broke. The consequences of this problem are obvious, if ever in an accident or simply normal driving, the safety of the seat is compromised. Nissan charges around $1000 to have this repaired. Seat brackets should never fail, especially not in the numbers being reported.
Drivers seat rocks and leans to the left. This is extremely dangerous if in an accident or brake right side brakes how do you maneuver car if you are in the rear seat, talk about backseat driver, this will be a reality, I have never seen a steering wheel in the back seat nor do I want to experience it.
Entered vehicle today after work and as soon as I sat in the drivers seat, there was a loud popping noise. Seat flopped back as I was getting in. Seat rocked back and forth on the way home. Upon inspection, noticed left rear seat frame was broken. This appears to be a common problem being reported by hundreds of other Murano owners.
Back left seat anchor on the drivers seat broke while driving down the road. The seat rocks back and forth and is unstable.
