Tl-the contact owns a 2007 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that burns marks appeared out of now where on the seats, back seats and tailgate. The contact had no idea where the burn marks came from or how they occurred. The ceiling of the vehicle had burn marks and the out side of the glove compartment. The vehicle was taken to west covina Nissan 205 n citrus st, west covina, CA 91791 (626) 732-1000 where the mechanic just wanted to repair the upholstery of the vehicle and not the other affected areas. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired . The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 160,000. Jw.

2 Tailgate problem of the 2005 Nissan Murano

Failure Date: 01/02/2017

The liftgate won't latch when closed, therefore the tailgate is not properly secured when shut. I have had this repaired once before and it worked for a time, but has now reoccured.

3 Tailgate problem of the 2006 Nissan Murano

Failure Date: 11/26/2009

Both screws holding tailgate latch to vehicle frame failed in >20k miles leaving tailgate secured by > 1/4" of plastic interior trim which is secured by 3 plastic snap connectors. Failed screws were connected to threaded metal base in enclosed box frame member. Only fix was to cut box, recover base and re-attach screws and weld cover over cut.

4 Tailgate problem of the 2003 Nissan Murano

Failure Date: 11/20/2003

Over 20 different rattle, squeak, tap, creak noises coming from inside and outside the car. Noises coming from window areas, door panels, b-pillar (rear seat area), ceiling, floorboards, cargo area, dash board, underneat the front end of the car (front wheels), tailgate area, front seats, rear seat belt area, and more every day. Vehicle has been in the shop more than three times (total of 21 days in the service bay) to attempt repair, but no results. . . . The noises keep coming. Noises occur when hitting bumps or any slight imperfection in the road, also occurs when the car is flexing or whn the temperature drops below 40 degrees. . . . . It gets even worse! dealer can't fix it.
