While driving on the highway I decided to pass the vehicle in front of me. At the same time I had hit the button to resume the speed I had set on the cruise control. I pushed the pedal all the way to the floor to quickly pass the vehicle in front and when I got past him and let off the peddle my vehicle kept accelerating. I tried turning off the cruise control but that didn’t help. I finally put the car in neutral and coasted to a stop with the engine racing. I tried to pull the accelerator up thinking it was stuck but that didn’t work. Finally I turned the vesicle off and restarted the car and it started working normally. I don’t know what/why that happened and I’ve been afraid to try to duplicate that incident by pushing the accelerator all the way down again. I think this is dangerous and thus I’m reporting this.
The Feb system is braking when not necessary, causing potential serious damage/injury. The sensor is also affecting my icc/cruise control. An orange light comes on while using cruise control and the cruise control stops/fails and will not reengage until I stop the vehicle and turn it off, then on again.

This has happened on two different occasions. While driving the vehicle the alternator has gone out and there is no warning that there is any problem but you lose your throttle control and the car loses power and is unable to accelerate. The 1st time this happened I was in the middle of an intersection trying to make a left turn and lost all power to be able to move the car. Luckly no one was coming in the other direction, or I could have been involved in a serious accident!!! I had the alternator check and it was bad, so we replaced it. The second time this happened was two days ago I was doing 65 mph on a four-lane highway and without any warning I lost power and could not accelerate I was able to pull to the side of the road, but m emergency flashers were of no use due to the battery was low because the entire car was using it for power. The car has no gauge or light of any type to warn you that the alternator has failed till you lose power and are unable to accelerate.

The contact owns a 2020 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that while driving with the cruise control engaged and set at approximately 65 mph. While approaching a hill, the vehicle accelerated without warning. While driving with the cruise control engaged, the vehicle accelerated. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted through chat, opened a case but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 34,000.

Problems with Nissan Murano cvt transmission - transmission slips with loss of power/acceleration while in traffic, then jerks or lurches forward. No codes (dtc) registered for the symptoms. Dangerous for myself and other drivers as this occurs without warning. Fortunate not to end up in an accident. Nissan manuals do not recommend precautions or service for this. Now faced with all repair costs.

The sensor shuts off and warning beeps “unavailable front radar obstruction” which then shuts off cruise control and crash avoidance. This happens in dry weather with no rain or snow.

Please recall electrical system, started out the doors not locking and trunk wont open then inside lights would not come on. I put my steering wheel down lower and when I did the car would not start. The inside lights come on when the car wont start then when I move steering wheel back up the lights go back off and the car will start again. The all wheel drive lock button will not work and the all wheel drive kicks in and out on it's own while driving the vehicle. While my children and I were on our way to town the vehicle started to lose power and the steering wheel was hard to handle then the all wheel drive locked in and out and then power was back. It was scary and it almost caused me to crash and people to crash into me from sudden speed reduction. The mechanics I take my vehicles to told me I'll have to take it to a Nissan dealership to get the electrical system taken care of or replaced.

The front radar obstruction light on my 1025 Nissan Murano has occasionally come off and on in bad weather (to be expected) and under normal driving conditions. I have had to have it are-aligned previously. Recently however, the light started coming on and off when I was stopped or in park. It would clear when I started driving. Eventually it would start coming on and stay on for very long stretches of time. I brought the car in to be looked at and was told I needed a new sensor for approximately $1500. I got no other explanation. I have seen hundreds, if not thousands of complaints about these sensors going bad. I even found a recall campaign (ntb19-033/a) for the exact problem. I was told this is a service campaign and it seemed as if it was at the dealerships discretion to follow the campaign. I am not sure if the manufactured date was even looked at as stated in the campaign. I have had numerous occasions where I have been using cruise control on the highway and all of a sudden the car starts slowing down without my immediate knowledge. There is no way to bypass this sensor in order to use cruise control either. I feel that this issue is a safety concern and the part should be recalled.

I was driving from a funeral on Saturday July, 30th. 2022. The car has been fine, & shown no leading hints of error. I did have a spare tire on in which it had no problems either. After the funeral I was notified my tire was ready, so I headed over to get it changed. After about 10/15 mins of driving (taking my daughter to work) the car started to pull, & make a screeching/loud noise. At first I thought maybe it was the brake pads, or tire rubbing. After calling my dad (a mechanic), & talking with others. Searching online as well. It was said to be the transmission. Few moments went by then it was the transfer case, axel, then finally an electrical issue. My all wheel drive light constantly flashes. I have no control over the off/on module. Anything over 5mph it’s does the noise, & tries to pull the car to the left. It gets louder, & more strong as I accelerate. I’ve never had problems out of this car, nor has it acted this way or anything close. It was all like a random happening. Now I feel I’m at a loss as no one knows the actual problem. As my fiancé & I both work. We have no other transportation, & have no way of getting a new car at the moment.

While driving with cruise control set at 80, I passed a vehicle and as I began to return to the driving lane from the passing lane, the control panel beeped and a warning "front radar unavailable due to obstruction" appeared and the vehicle immediately decelerated drastically and the cruise control was disengaged and disabled. I had to react quickly to avoid a rear collision by accelerating rapidly. There were no vehicles in front of me or on either side. The cruise was disabled for about 4-5 minutes. This happened a total of 12 times in a 5. 5 hour trip. I googled the problem and realized that it was ongoing for many years and involved a recall on other vehicles, but not mine. This is dangerous and should be a recall part before someone gets killed or seriously injured.
Abs stays on then the (brake warning lamps will immediately come after a short time, the engine will go into a "fall safe" condition which will limit vehicle speed. The engine will stop running and turn off on me. Also my subframe is rotten and is now disconnected the mechanic quoted me $2,600 to repair jus the subfreame.

A specific cruise control feature of the 2021 Nissan Murano, in my opinion, is dangerous to operate and may or may have already caused a serious injury/accident. I have brought this concern to the people at the dealership in tucson, az on several occasions. I have also contact the Nissan north America consumer affairs office in franklin, TN. Both of these parties have told me the cruise control system is working properly. So what is my concern? the last four cars that I have owned had cruise control systems. Two of the cars were Nissan Muranos. A 2010 Nissan Murano and a 2014 Nissan Murano platinum. All four the cars' cruise control systems operated the same. Unfortunately, the 2021 Nissan Murano's cruise control does not operate the same as my last four cars, the 2021 Murano has one feature that is very dangerous and needs looking into. Example of the four previous cars: let's say you set the cruise control at 40mph and decide to increase to 50mph by pressing and holding the resume/+ lever. All of the other cars that I owned would allow me to do this and when the speed odometer reached 50mph I would release the resume/+ lever and the cruise speed would be 50mph. The 2021 Nissan Murano platinum does not do this. Example of 2021 Murano: let's say I set the cruise control speed at 40mph by pressing and holding the resume/+ lever to increase to 50mph and I release it when my speed odometer reached 50mph. The 2021 Murano does not stop at 50mph it would go to approximately 80mph unless the driver steps on the brake. Fyi, I did drive two other 2021 Nissan loaners neither of which were Muranos, both of those cars' cruise control operated as my previous four cars' cruise control system. The car's manual and videos' documents that the cruise control should operate differently.

On March 14th, I purchased a 2007 Nissan Murano from a private owner. I was told the throttle bottle needed to be replaced. After replacing the throttle bottle the Murano felt like it lost all power when I accelerated but the vehicle was still on. Contacted the seller and he said they've never had any transmission issues or anything. I followed up with getting the spark plugs changed, transmission fuel and filter changed, a brand new battery and an oil change. This worked for about a month up until early April of 2021. The vehicle now seems as though it's in limo mode. No mechanic wants to work on it and I feel completely cheated and at a total loss. Vadden Nissan constantly has an excuse not to work on my vehicle and at this point, it's just very frustrating. I've spend thousand of dollars on this vehicle only for me to still be at square one. I'm also afraid for my safety being in traffic and having to turn on my safety hazard lights. The vehicle will drive normal if I restart it but goes right back into limp mode.
The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Murano. The contact stated while driving 45 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed however, the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was parked at a nearby parking lot. The contact stated that the failure recurred three times. After the third failure, the vehicle was not drivable. The vehicle was towed to hubler Nissan (8435 us-31, indianapolis, in 46227, (317) 888-9227) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the alternator needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 169,000.
While driving the Murano it slowed down and wouldn't go above 20mph. After about a mile it just stopped running & wouldn't crank back up. All the fluids were at the right levels. Took it to a johnny's mechanic shop & they said it was the engine.
Transmission went only had the SUV for 4 months.
Unavailable front radar obstruction light comes on and stays on after driving. Problem occurs every time I drive more than a short distance. Light is never on when I start the car.
When I'm idol at a stop sigh or red light then try to accelerate, I have to press the pedal down several times before the car will move. Yesterday, when I press the pedal, it sticks and accelerates fast. It seems like it has the potential to run into traffic or into another car. I had this check at the dealership but they could not find a problem but there is a problem. I will take it back to have it checked again.

While driving down the highway with my infant child the vehicle lost power I could not accelerate went from 75mph to a struggling 5mph. No matter how far I pressed the gas pedal there was no acceleration no revving of engine just complete nothing just pure panic. I was able to pull off to the side of the freeway in a not so safe place however I had no choice. I out hazard lights on and turned off the car. After waiting approx 5 min. I attempted to start car to no avail. The battery light as well as abs light stayed on. I again waited for another 5 -10 min and tried again nothing but same warning lights. I eventually had to wait for approx 45-_60 min when it finally started however I was only allowed to go no fastethan 5 mph. I was able to exit freeway where I parked car for several hours and walked home. Upon retrieving vehicle it still had same results. I drove home @ 5mph. I took car in for repairs and was told I needed a new battery wiring harness. I had that ordered a d repaired. Car drove home just fine however the following day the same incident occurred. Took car back in and was told I needed a new alternator which I replaced. However the following day the same thing occurred. Upon driving car back to a major dealership to notify them of the same problem, however once in their parking lot the mechanic attempted to drive car into the service bay and car wouldn't start. Immediately the mechanic said " OH you hear that clicking sound?" " that's the starter you need a new one". I once again had them service my car and put in a new starter. Yet once again the following day the same problem. In all these occurrences the car had just out of no where with no warning lost power leaving my children and I in a potentially dangerous situation multiple times. The vehicle has been parked in my garage. I can't afford replacing parts just to have the same incident. As far as dates go there were multiple dates that the vehicle stalled on me and had no acceleration.
Im drive this sometime accelerate by himself nobody hitt gas pedal accelerate 3000 rpm by himself.

My Murano has been stalling to pick up speed have replaced over $1500 in parts. But still cant locate the problem, at the mechanic shop they said it could be the solenoid sensor but they dont know if it could be it. When driving on highway sometimes it will not pick up speed and will only drive 30 to 40 mph. Other times while driving on highway it will stay at 60mph and will not go over. The engine looks a bit shifted as well I don't know what could have caused it. And it makes a really ugly loud squick that we have been trying to fix but don't know if it could be because of engine shift. No accidents issue has been going on for more than 3 months.
While driving my 2018 Nissan Murano, all of a sudden my vehicle began to DE-accelerate and lost it's ability to accelerate. I immediately attempted to pull onto the median of the highway and realized that my brakes were malfunctunctioning, but by then my vehicle was at such a low speed that the brakes were able to stop my vehicle when the peddle was depressed all the way to the floorboard. Three warning lights were indicated on my warning screen and my rpm indicator was bouncing up and down. I called my dealership (my vechicle, was still under factory warranty) and they directed me to a number to call for towing services. In the meantime, I cranked my car several times, and each time the same warning lights were on, the rpm indicator continued to bounce, and the vehicle's engine was geared up while the vehicle was shaking. After my vehicle was taken to the dealerhip (petro Nissan in hattiesburg,ms) they told me that the only way they could diagnose and repair the malfunction was to "replicate the malfunction in my vehicle". After three days, the dealership said that the malfunction was not replicated so there was nothing the dealership could to repair the malfunction. The dealership also refused to furnish me with a loaner car because the malfunction wasn't diagnosed. So, I am now in a situation where my car remains unsafe to operate, but I cannot in good conscience sell or trade it in and allow someone to operate this dangerous vehicle. I am in a very precarious situation but cannot afford to simply sideline this vehicle and purchase another. Nissan is forcing me to operate a vehicle which is a danger to the occupants of this vehicle and to those others on the streets and highways.
Intelligent forward collision warning system randomly shuts off.
I was driving my car on the interstate when the check engine light came on when I hit the gas the car didn't want to go into gear brought the car to the repair shop and the me mechanic told me that this car has a recall for the transmission and engine problems just want to know if this is correct because no one will fix it for me.

The abs light comes on while driving and car stalls or immediately shuts down. I took the vehicle to Nissan and a diagnostic test was done. They said I needed to have my crank shaft positioning sensor changed; I paid and had it replaced and still I am experiencing the same problem. I took the vehicle back to kings Nissan at coney island brooklyn 2 weeks ago and it's still there and they can't figure out what's going on. Now I am being told they'll have to take the car apart to figure what's the problem and that'll cost me about a thousand dollars for labor, not inclusive of any parts that may need to be replaced. My problem here is that Nissan cannot determine the issue and is having me pay for parts while they change parts by assuming what they issue might be, since they are unable to determine the real issue. My biggest regret is purchasing a Nissan vehicle. The vehicle is barely 30,000 miles and it's costing me time and money.
While driving on the highway my car was doing 2 rpm even when I pressed my gas pedtal down to the floor it wouldn't rev up which olny cause the car the car to do 10mph onced it reached 15mph it just shut off as I was drving on the highway thank god it was kind of late so I was able to steer my car on the shoulder I waited a good 10 to 15 minutes then it started back up still having rough idle problems the next day took it to the shop and trouble shooting codes popped up regarding both O2 sensors being replaced, I fixed the problem then a month later my car started jerking as I drive took it back to my mechanic the crankshaft sensor went bad so I ended up replacing that senor as well which now my car only reaches a maxium of 55mph I don't drive my car on the highway due to my car still having idle issues and now I notice my car burns oil really fast and my oli light indicator don't pop up on the dash board like it suppose to the only way I know my car needs oil now is when I hear like a fan noise coming from under the hood, Nissan you guys really need to take this car off the market as I have read im not the only driver having this issue with this svu its rasing safety concerns their are 960 complaints!!! I use my car to get back and fourth to work, take my daughter to school and I have no money to buy a new car please fix this problem!!!! its not right to keep this car on the market.
While driving the vehicle it may randomly stall causing the motor to shut down while the car is in use making it very unsafe. Also random over heating and stalling I've changed both camshaft sensors and the crankshaft sensor also the radiator and the thermostat nothing fixes it. There was a recall on my vehicle but I need to be put on the list I was left out.
Purchased 2018 Nissan morano sl SUV on 12/14/2019. Driving from dealer on 4 lane highway, approx. 3 mi. , dashboard displayed 'unavailable front radar obstruction'. It has randomly displayed this ever since. Nissan dealer stated they have been 'desensitizing' the radar as a remedy but denied having any previous knowledge of this defect.
An electrical fault in the alternator causes the car to enter "forced idle", immediately losing all accelerator power. There is no indicator warning.
"unavailable front radar obstructed" errors appear on dash about every 10-15 minutes while driving. If the cruise is on, it disables the cruise setting and the car immediately slows down. Emergency braking is also disabled when this error happens. If a car is following while driving at 70mph and the cruise disengages this could cause a rear end collision to happen.
Car is sluggish at take off and makes a horrible rattling noise once I've accelerated at 20 miles and more. Very loud.
Tl-the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Murano sl. The contact state that while driving at 75 mph, there is an abnormal noise (griding) with the cruz control warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken into the dealer (orr Nissan of wichita 10625 e kellogg dr, wichita, KS 67207 (316) 681-6900) were a diagnoses test was performed and determined that the distance montering system that on the vehicle cruz control needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact with Nissan (cas#37709838) and informed the contact to contact NHTSA to place a complaint. The failure mileage was arppoximent 75,300. Ck.

In September of 2019, I leased a new 2019 Nissan Murano platinum from missoula Nissan in missoula, montana. Not long after purchasing the new auto, I noticed that when driving down a hill, the cruise control released and the vehicle sped up as though free-wheeling. The engine brake (compression) did not activate nor did the transmission shift down. The hills I am referring to are gentle down-hills on straight-aways. They are not steep or windy. There is absolutely no danger in driving a speed limit of 70 mph on a two-lane highway going downhill as are many highways in montana or doing the speed limit of 80 mph downhill on interstate 15 through the state of utah. What is dangerous and unsafe, however, is the speed of the vehicle increasing by 10 to 15 + mph within a short distance because the cruise control fails at that point it is necessary to ride the brakes, manually shift down or risk a speeding ticket or a serious accident. In the many vehicles we have owned, the cruise control operated to keep the vehicle at or near the set speed even while going downhill. When I posted the issue on cargurus website nine other people complained of the same problems with new Nissans. This is truly dangerous to an unsuspecting driver. Because I winter in arizona, I took the vehicle to jim click Nissan in tucson and explained the problem. After a road test the shop foreman agreed the cruise control was acting as I had described and didn’t feel it was right. However, Nissan headquarters advised that the cruise control was supposed to operate that way. Once I returned to helena, montana, last spring, I took the car to kenny simpson Nissan. That service department also agreed that the cruise control was not operating correctly but again Nissan argued that it was supposed to operate that way. So two dealers reproduced and confirmed the problem but the manufacturer takes the position that it is supposed to operate in this extremely unsafe manner.
When entering certain intersections, there is almost 100% probability that I get the following message: unavailable front radar obstruction. It's happening every day on the same spots and the number of these spots is growing. This causes the radar to be not working for about 3 minutes. It's been happening for about a year or so. The last time just less then 2 hours ago.
