1 Service Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 10/27/2015

This is the same as another complaint (# 10777718) filed through this site on 9/25. I took my truck in because of the service engine check light and the tech reported catalytic converter, heater hose vacuum & valve, power steering hose, and tire gps. We have taken the truck in for the 3rd winter season and now they are saying it cost $725 dollars to repair the issue. For 3 years we have taken it in and they flushed the system, replace a sensor, and now this? also the catalytic converter costing $1380 and power steering hose at $305. I noticed 4 recalls that we were never contacted about with the engine, and we have taken the truck in numerous times for these issues and they never mentioned the recalls. Our issue with the catalytic converter is exactly the same as the above mentioned issue filed in September. We also purchased an extended warranty, and none of this is covered. I wonder who else is having the same issue with the catalytic converter?.

I was coming back from the store and was waiting at a red light when my light turn green I had trouble going I press the gas and it was like pulling then it king of jump and the service engine light came on. I had a shop check my car and sure thing it was the cooling/ transmission problem. 4 Service Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 02/28/2013

During the month of December 2012 I had my Nissan truck serviced. The diagnostic test recommended to replace rear differential fluid, replace cabin air filter, replace windshield wiper blades, air filter, perform engine coolant exchange , transmission fluid exchange, power steering system fluid exchange, perform brake system fluid exchange, and fuel injection . I also had to replace the catalytic converter, which was done by Nissan. I had all of these services performed by the Nissan automotive department. On February 28 2013, my service engine soon light comes on along with sensor light indicating a door is open. However, no doors were open. I take the truck back to Nissan, and they tell me the transmission is about to go out!!!! how is this possible? I have always taken my truck to Nissan to perform the service . I am outraged!!!! all of the service needed has always been performed by Nissan. Please help!!!!.

5 Service Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 01/08/2010

My Nissan Pathfinder (2005) stopped in the middle of the road. I had it towed to the repair shop and was told it was a computer sensor and they repaired it. My service engine light came on a week later- I took it to the shop again and they said it needed a catalytic converter and fixed it. Now 3 weeks later the check engine light is on again!.

6 Service Engine Light On problem

Failure Date: 08/10/2008

2005 Nissan Pathfinder. Fuel gauge reads zero, half tank or somewhere in-between when the tank is full. Service engine light comes on and will not go out unless the fuel gauge starts reading correctly (which it sometimes does). This is a known problem. Nissan has even come out with a service bulletin ntb07-069a that addresses the problem. The problem that I have is that this has happened to several people, and the repair bill for a vehicle that is out of warranty is between $400 and $600. I believe that this could be considered a safety issue and a recall should be issued if people are running out of gas due to incorrect or non-existent fuel level readings.
