1 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 01/15/2025

There was a recall concerning the fuel gauge not working correctly. The sensor in the tank needed replaced. Well my car had that recall fixed or so it says, but it is doing the same thing again. So are you gonna replace it again for no cost?.

3 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 06/01/2017

The pressure relief valve (I think that's what it's called) had to be replaced. It cost me $350 but I didn't keep a receipt. An individual that had a shop did the repair but has since moved and I have no idea where. I was unable to put more than a few gallons of gas when pumping gas before it would cut off. I would wait a few minutes and pump a few more gallons and it would cut off again. I had it replaced last year but I don't remember the mileage.

4 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/28/2017

When driving and you go to stop and move your foot from the gas to the brake when you push the brake the veh tries to accelerate and you have o always pay attention or could possibly run into the back of another veh. It also happens numerous times daily depending on how much you drive it.

5 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 07/14/2016

A) the service light comes on for the evap system. Took to Nissan and they initially said it wasn't anything then it turned into a cpu being bad (after 3 trips) now the light is on again and it's an evap code again for the charcoal vent system. I've looked it up and this is a known issue and was even recalled on the xterra. The issue being the location of the charcoal filter. B) the steering box vibrates or causes a severe steering wheel vibration.

6 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/12/2016

On my 2008 Nissan Pathfinder, which is only 8 years old, I have repaired my transmission due to an atf contamination via the cooling system around 95,000 miles. I purchased the vehicle at 90,000 miles used. This affected my speed control and all related systems. The radiator was replaced also due to the contamination. This has affected my cooling and heating system and all related systems. This cost my extended warranty company around $2,900+ (glad I was Smart enough to purchase this warranty), however it cost me my deductible of $200. 00. On February 12, 2016 I dropped my Nissan off for a follow-up repair to replace the entire timing chain assembly after going in for a simple alignment earlier (which was a waste of money because you have to purchase a camper kit in order for your alignment to be 100%, $249. 00 out-of-pocket). This caused me to have to buy a brand new set of tires out-of-pocket which came with a free alignment as a special, otherwise I would've re-payed for another alignment. Headquarters Nissan of columbus,GA never informed me of the timing chain issues with these suvs! this resulted in performance issues. Again my extended warranty will pay around $1,800 to Nissan for the repairs and me a $200. 00 deductible. I have run out of gas in the middle of traffic on the highway in atlanta,GA during rush hour before because my gas gauge or indicator or something doesn't read or is inaccurate. I also hear noise from the tires or something when I roll over speed bumps, accelerate or bank left or right with bad, hard steering. The cooling and heating system has not blown air at times and sometimes I have to depress the gas petal while idling to heat up air that has gone cold. When the a/c does this I turn off the a/c and let the windows down, pressing the gas petal does not work. Nissan says they can't find a problem with this system when diagnosing vehicle?!.

7 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 04/16/2014

Upon driving on the high way with 3/4 reading on the gas gauge the gas gauge needle suddenly dropped to empty. Until I got it fixed I was unable to determine how much gas was in the vehicle.

8 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 12/16/2013

We purchased a used 2008 Nissan Pathfinder from campbell/nelson on hwy 99 edmonds washington a couple years ago. We were not told the gas gage did not work found out by nearly being stuck without gas in traffic in December we had to take it through the emission test exam. Here in washington state only to fail because of a bad gas sensor. We took it to campbell nelson where they gave us a waiver for this year so we could get our lic. Tabs renewed but in order to correct this problem will cost us $700. Had we been told of this when we bought the car we would not have.

9 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 02/13/2013

Tl-the contact owns a 2008 Nissan path finder. The contact stated the fuel system is not reading the fuel gage properly. The failure recurred several times. The vehicle was taken to a independent mechanic. The vehicle was diagnosed stated the fuel sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 158,000. Nm.

10 Other Fuel System problem

Failure Date: 11/12/2010

On a regular morning of commuting my children to their school, suddenly my check engine light illuminated, and my gas gauge immediately went to empty with gas light on, I knew I had gas in the vehicle, so I didn't worry right offlater I did stop at a local mechanics shop and let them perform a diagnostics test on the vehicle and was quoted that the fuel sensor needed replacing. I filed a complaint with Nissan file#[xxx] and was told that my vehicle was not part of the recall, I also called a local Nissan dealership and they confirmed what I was told about not being a part of the recall, but I was also told to just bring the vehicle in for diagnostics which cost 100. 00 dollars and is alot of money for a single mother of five who was recently laid off, he also stated there was an extension on the recall miles up to 75000, I am just a basket case right now since its time for tag renewal plus im unemployed plus car note plus insurance, and no repairs. . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
