Transmission was slipping in first gear. Has when into limp mode many times. Have had the fluid change a couple times. Once it was slipping in the middle of a busy intersection. Had it remove and rebuilt. Antifreeze was found in the transmission. How many reports before they recall these vehicles.
Tl- the contact owns a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the transmission failed to function properly and an independent mechanic had flushed the transmission which had provided a temporary fix but had not permanently prevented the problem of the gears slipping and the transmission gears not properly changing over. A second independent mechanic also indicated that the transmission failed to function properly and installed a rebuilt transmission. A dealer had not inspected and diagnosed the vehicle for a repair remedy. The manufacturer had not issued any transmission recalls, had issued 2 TSB on power train/transmission and the contact was not included in NHTSA action number: dp12004 (power train). The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and opened a case to respond back pertaining to the transmission failures. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.
The transmission started slipping and the radiator fluid is mixing with the transmission fluid. The transmission was replaced once, and now the transmission needs to be replaced again.
My hose s from the radiator to the heater core exploded while I was driving in the city and trow some kind of gunk that the dealer says it is transmission fluid mixing with the antifreeze causing the hoses to become weak also my transmission start slipping and not working properly the dealer says it is a extended warranty on it but my car has 108000 miles and the extended warranty it is only until 100000 {with a 3000 dollars out of pocket for the owner of the vehicle } but they never send me a letter to fix that problem even do I have done more than 2 services on a Nissan dealer that warranty or problem was never mentioned to me.
Transmission slips due to radiator fluid entering transmission. Transmission shifts rough and does not let vehicle get up to speed.
Your website would not allow me to put in the transmission and radiator as affected parts. My vehicle with 77,000 miles on it had a slipping issue with my transmission and was brought to the dealership, along with the warranty upgrade notice provided by Nissan, for service. I notified the dealership of the transmission slipping and of the warranty notice, and that I wanted it looked at. They came back to me and verbally stated that there was no issue with my transmission. Dealer did not note it on the work order that they test drove and said there was no issue. Nissan is known to have radiator problems that lead to transmission failure for my type of vehicle. There is a class action lawsuit out right now about the issue. Nissan refused to do the work unless I paid for the $3000 CO-pay, and paid for the timing chain shoes, another Nissan known issue, another $1800. My vehicle is a 2008 Pathfinder with 92000 miles on it now. Just want Nissan to stand behind their product properly and replace the items required at no charge to me. Both of the issues could lead to a failure and cause a major accident.
