Ive been having upteen amount of isssues with this car since I bought it. I bought the car back in 2015. With transmission and radiator problems. Those are fixed. It also has a fuel pump issue which there is a recall for!! my car reada empty at a quarter of a tank. Also my drive train. Wheel hubs etc. Ive replaced several times and still having issues with those. My sway bar and tire rods my front suspension sounds like and feels like its falling apart. My car dont accelerate like it should, when im braking going down hill the rpms go up to 3 or 4 rpms as im braking. Now I have my 3 yr old twin boys in the car with me and all I want is a safe vehicle for my kids and myself. Now the issues ive been having, there are recalls for but not for my vehicle 2008 Nissan Pathfinder!.

My vehicle was mostly in the state of NY (salt belt state) from 2004 until 2015. (11 years) it's now in va. The undercarriage is rusted beyond a normal amount. The exhaust especially holes are in piping from the catalytic converter to the tailpipe. The care is leaking fuel from the metal filler tube to the gas tank! my local Nissan dealership refused to address these serious issues and inferior metal piping problems. I'm scared the vehicle will blow up. It's dangerous.

My fuel tank is warped so the fuel float sensor gets stuck mostly on empty so I cant tell how much fuel I have. Even after I fill the fuel tank it still tells me I am empty. Ocasionally if I hit a bump after fillling it will show the correct ammount of fuel. I am afraid I will run out of gas, stall and get into an accident. The year before mine and after mine was already recalled for this same problem.

Tamara inflators , fuel gauge registers empty when tank is filled and will not detect the correct amount of fuel until half of the tank is empty. This happens every time the tank is filled.
The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder. While driving at various speeds, the fuel gauge would not go any lower than a quarter tank and the check engine light illuminated on the instrument panel. After refueling the vehicle, the fuel gauge took an abnormally long time to show the amount of fuel in the tank. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 10v075000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 88,000.
Common complaint from what I am reading. 03 Nissan Pathfinder with 82k miles, with a malfuncting fuel gauge. I just bought this vehicle from a used car dealership and he is going to take a look, but with the amount of issues I am reading about, and that Nissan recalled the 06 Pathfinder with a similar issue, its just irritating this is going unrecognized by Nissan. Gauge reads just over half a tank always and since I am new to the car I am really guessing on mileage per tank, using the trip mileage to figure what I have left. Basically I have been topping off every other day. Is it a gummed up tank and the float sticking? a bad gauge, a bad fuel sending unit? a short between the gauge and sending unit? we shall see. And I just bought this less than a week ago, can I hold the used car dealer responsible for it?.

I, a female, purchased a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder from integrity Chevrolet in chattanooga, TN. A day later the Pathfinder is skipping, vibrating and rattling, rear end clunking at 40 mph. Shifts hard at 4 and 5. Got 4 mechanics and the Nissan dealership to check all this out and they all concluded the coolant overflow tank was filthy, stinks- not the sweet smell- smelled burnt and rusty. The valves were bloated and radiator cap seal was loose. Low on coolant, high in water. Transmission and radiator needs to be flushed and checked for 'sludge'! the dealership's associate, jamie ryan, assured me the 2008 Pathfinder had been serviced and all fluids checked and filled. The Nissan dealership and the 4 mechanics all stated that 'no service or fluids were checked!' if it had been, the dealership would have known of this transmission issue! the coolant from the radiator is mixing with the transmission fluid in the transmission, causing a milky- sludge. No one can convince me that this dealership, integrity Chevrolet, in chatt, TN, did not know of this issue- it is a very common issue with the Nissan Pathfinders, xterras and frontiers years 2006-2010. Any good associate would have known this issue- in order to sell this automobile honestly! jamie ryan, to whom I have known for over 20 years, screwed me over and saw an unknowing, innocent woman coming his way! I had to be a good joke that day. This dealership knew they had to get rid of this Pathfinder quickly b/c it is a 'lemon'!.
I have been noticing the fuel gauge does not read correctly. It gets down close to 1/4 tank and then will stay there. The read out on the information screen will report "0 miles to empty". This leaves me not knowing the amount of fuel left in my tank, and fearful of running out of gas and/ or causing an accident. I have a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder se v-8 model. It started in the fall 2013 when gas gauge started reading sporadic fule levels.
Gas gauge does not reflect correct amount of fuel, no matter what the level. I have been re-setting trip mileage after fill-ups to have an approximate knowledge of fuel tank level. I am disabled and my vehicle ran out of gas yesterday.
Fuel level sensor malfunction, gas gauge shows inaccurate amount of gas in tank. Cannot pass deq test until fixed. Appears to be ongoing issue with this make & model of vehicle. There needs to be an extension on the recall, very expensive too fix. Problem #2 severe transmission vibration at 50-70 mph, cannot operate in overdrive without having transmission causing severe jerking of vehicle. Very scary noise especially with little kids in car. There is a service bulletin on this issue and it needs to be moved to a full recall. Very dangerous!.

Vehicle is a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. Vehicle demonstrates and experiences the symptoms described in NHTSA campaign number 10v075000. Fuel gauge displays 1/4-tank of fuel present when this information is not correct. Took same vehicle to local Nissan dealer. Asked about this specific recall, and my vehicles valid membership in the NHTSA recall group. Dealer's service department ran a VIN check in "the database" and advised me the recall does not apply to my vehicle, even though it demonstrates exact symptoms described in NHTSA recall. I believe this Nissan dealer is confusing the Nissan "voluntary warranty extension" program described as, "fuel sending unit program" with NHTSA campaign number 10v075000 - the latter not a voluntary but government-ordered recall. In April, 2014, I was driving this vehicle with three young children through the I-64 tunnel under where the atlantic ocean meets the james river in norfolk, virginia. Our vehicle almost ran out of fuel in the undersea tunnel as I was relying upon the fuel gauge's report of just over 1/4-tank of fuel, when it was in fact, nearly empty. Thankfully, we were able to clear the tunnel and make it to a nearby gas station, where based upon the amount of fuel the vehicle took, we were running "on fumes" and could have run out of gas - thereby blocking traffic inside the tunnel. Component(s): fuel system, gasoline.
Vehicle refused to accept gasoline; showing full when actually auto out of gas; fuel level sending unit replaced. Fuel gauge sending unit caused fuel gauge to inaccurately display the amount of fuel in the fuel tank. Fuel gauge not reading full when the tank is filled.

The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that the fuel gauge would show fuel levels that were inconsistent with the actual amount of fuel in the fuel tank. The vehicle was taken to dealer where the failure was determined to have been caused by a transmission coolant leak. There was also a faulty fuel level fender, providing incorrect readings. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign id number: 10v075000 (fuel system, gasoline: storage: auxillary tank) but was advised by the manufacturer that the VIN was not included in the recall. The current mileage was 90,667. The failure mileage was unknown.
Code 0463 fuel level sensor found on 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. Have researched the issue and found numerous complaints of Nissan vehicle owners having the exact same issue from mileage ranges 40,000 - 70,000. When you fill up the fuel tank, the gas gauge goes to empty and doesn't work, thus it's impossible to determine the amount of gas at all times in your vehicle.
