We purchased a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder for our family 5 from peters Nissan in nashua n. H. August 2017. In November 2018 we started having problems with the vehicle losing power, and shaking like it's ready to stall out. We took it in to Nissan and they claimed they replaced all 6 fuel injectors and 5 upper injector 0-rings. We brought it back on Dec 3, 2018 for the same problem and Nissan documentation states that they performed road test and vehicle road gauge read all the way empty even though the vehicle had one half a tank of fuel. They claimed to have replaced internal fuel pump and and the vehicle fuel gauge was then reading at the appropriate level and the vehicle was returned to us. On Jan 14, 2019 we took the vehicle back to Nissan for the same mechanical problem and they kept it until Feb 6 claiming that they were doing extensive research to diagnose and fix the problem. After 3 weeks without our vehicle we were called to pick it up and the work order stated road tested vehicle and could not duplicate condition. However the paperwork indicates that the mileage in was 23181 and the mileage out was exactly the same, 23181, indicating that Nissan never really did anything to resolve the problem. We are a family of 5 and for us this vehicle was a huge investment, we're confident in the Nissan brand name but now we are regretting our decision. We have requested that Nissan buy the vehicle back so we can purchase a reliable vehicle from another brand name corporation or at a minimum replace this vehicle with a new Nissan Pathfinder to no avail, so now we feel we are stuck with this high priced lemon.

Vehicle is a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. Vehicle demonstrates and experiences the symptoms described in NHTSA campaign number 10v075000. Fuel gauge displays 1/4-tank of fuel present when this information is not correct. Took same vehicle to local Nissan dealer. Asked about this specific recall, and my vehicles valid membership in the NHTSA recall group. Dealer's service department ran a VIN check in "the database" and advised me the recall does not apply to my vehicle, even though it demonstrates exact symptoms described in NHTSA recall. I believe this Nissan dealer is confusing the Nissan "voluntary warranty extension" program described as, "fuel sending unit program" with NHTSA campaign number 10v075000 - the latter not a voluntary but government-ordered recall. In April, 2014, I was driving this vehicle with three young children through the I-64 tunnel under where the atlantic ocean meets the james river in norfolk, virginia. Our vehicle almost ran out of fuel in the undersea tunnel as I was relying upon the fuel gauge's report of just over 1/4-tank of fuel, when it was in fact, nearly empty. Thankfully, we were able to clear the tunnel and make it to a nearby gas station, where based upon the amount of fuel the vehicle took, we were running "on fumes" and could have run out of gas - thereby blocking traffic inside the tunnel. Component(s): fuel system, gasoline.

Service engine soon light popped on. Read owners manual. Advised to open and re-close gas cap. Did that. Light did not go out. December 10, gas gauge indicated empty. Dte light appeared ------. Filled up. Gas gauge didn't move. Then, December 12, 2008 gas gauge suddenly rose to a little over half tank. Dte odometer display shows 78 miles to empty with over half tank. Looked up problem online. Hundreds of people with same problem in Pathfinders and x-terras. No warranty coverage. I have extended warranty. My 2006 Pathfinder has 71k on it. Nissan says $600 to repair. Seems like this is a product/manufacturing defect.
