Radio/tape Cd Player Problems of Nissan Pathfinder - part 1

There was a recall for a high pitch sound from the radiotor. Well my car is doing this issue where the heat is on and and it sounds horrible from that area. Could it not of been repaired like it stats? 5n1ar2mm5fc717340.

I went out to my car, which was parked overnight in front of my house - locked- and after I started the car, someone had changed my heat settings to 85 and changed all of my radio settings.

Truck will not open intermittently. Opens 1 inch b ack and forth once pushed will drop onto person no sensor . Has been to dealership 5+ times sent videos no issue. Radio randomly deletes stations and blacks out with navigation. Trunk ongoing last happened end June.

I was driving my vehicle with the heat on. A random noise appeared that I haven't heard before so I turned off the radio and still heard the noise. After shutting off the heater, the noise stopped. I turned the heater back on and the noise appeared again but stopped. Brought it to a mechanic and they said that it was the fan. I asked for a price and I couldn't believe the information I was given. I then did research and noticed that there are many complaints about the fan and the noise. Nissan should be held reliable /accountable for this malfunction.

The sun visors have a defect known by Nissan, but they have not issued a recall to correct it yet. Ours started by making a loud "clicking" noise, before losing the capability to stay either up or down. They hang down. We have slammed our foreheads into the rock hard visor edges when simply getting into the car or if there is a quick stop. We have had men, women and teens bump heads into the visor simply leaning forward to change the radio station. If we were to be rear-ended or in an accident, it would could easily gash open our foreheads or give a concussion. This is a safety hazard and Nissan will not acknowledge it. The sagging visors diminish vision and are going to kill someone if it is not addressed. This issue has been a known problem by Nissan, the service departments are aware of it, but Nissan will not offer anything other than removing the visor or having the consumer pay $160 for each visor to correct.

I felt a grinding nose while shifted and I stop and took the car to a dealer Nissan and the find out a problem from transmission/ radiotor. There was a recall for a faulty radiator who leaks into the transmission that cause the problem and I should pay for the repair on my own. I find out that Nissan knows that problem never sent me a recall for that and I bought the car new I serviced it and all the maintenance at a dealership no word I should change the radiator . The same thing happens to me with my 2002 altima.

No problems with vehicle just one day didn't switch gears and service engine light came on. That was it Nissan told me almost 6000 to fix radiator rotted and fluids leaked into transmission which made both no good. Also 2 months later cd player stopped working will not eject and cds stuck in the system.

I purchased a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder in 2004. The bose 6-disc changer immediately failed. The dealership repaired it because it fell within the 30-day warranty period. It worked for about two months after that and then I got an error message one day when I tried to load a cd and it hasn't worked since. Last spring, I took the car in for a tire rotation and balance and my mechanic noted that there was a slight fish-tailing in the back which was caused by deterioration of the rear bushings, and over time, the fish-tailing would get so bad, it could possibly cause an accident when braking. Apparently this is a common occurrence in certain Pathfinder models, and Nissan even corrected the problem in future models of the Pathfinder once the problem was discovered. I have read multiple posts to this website as well as others regarding both of these issues in the 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. How can Nissan not be responsible for the repair/replacement of this faulty equipment? the rear bushing problem is a major safety hazard, and I pray for Nissan's sake no one is ever killed in an accident because of this issue, because a good attorney will have a field day in court with the class action lawsuit. . Cd player no longer works; displays err 2. Radio volume control knob no longer works.

I purchased an 2001 Nissan Pathfinder in 2003 and the bose radio w/ 6 cd clarion player. "err 2" coded 3-months after I purchased it. I had an extended warranty, it was replaced with a refurbished system of the same. It is 8/08 and the system is broken again, and not covered. What are the chances that this vehicle could go through 2 radios in only 63,000 miles?? ridiculous!!! Nissan will not stand by the cheap parts used by clarion in the radio (as researched on the net). I also have an ecm problem, Nissan says it needs to be upgraded, but will not pay for it. My check engine light comes on coding there is a problem with the catalytic converter. They told me nothing is wrong with the converter, just an error with the software in the ecm. So now I won't know if the "check engine" light is on for some thing serious or it is just the converter wrongly coding.

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. Due to failures, the contact has only driven the vehicle three times since it was purchased on may 21, 2008. The engine light remains illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they would bypass the engine and shut off the light. On two occasions, the vehicle would not start because it was too hot. The vehicle was purchased with the original stereo system, but, when it stopped working, the dealer replaced it with a demo. The contact took the vehicle to a different mechanic and was informed that the fuel pump sensors were failing and a fuel pump was needed. 6 cd changer cd player never works, I have tried to call Nissan as I found 100 of similar complaints but no response. The cd system is by bose. One of the top cd makers in the world. Dealers will charge 2000 to fix it, is it really worth fixing it for 2k I would rather install of the mkt one, however it shows poor customer service and quality.

I just purchased a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. The 6 disc cd player does not work, it says "err2". I was under the impression that everything was in working condition at the time of purchase. When I asked the dealer to fix it at their cost they would not do it. I think this is bad business since I mentioned the fact that I liked that the vehicle has a 6 disc cd when I test drove it. I own a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder se that is configured with a bose/clarion 6 cd changer unit. The unit failed in 2007 giving an err 2 message. I had the unit removed by empire Nissan lakewood, CO who sent it to be repaired twice to a service contractor. Both times the unit was returned reinstalled and failed again. This is a defective product. An internet search revealed many other consumers reporting the exact same err 2 problems with their audio systems.

The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Pathfinder. The vehicle was purchased on 4/11/05. The seat belt failure began on 2/1/07 at 32,000 miles. When the driver side seat belt was not latched and the brakes were applied the warning seat belt light came on, but there was no warning sound to alert the driver that the seat belt wasn't locked. On 2/3/07, there were additional repairs to the seat belt system. However ,the failure recurred. The dealer ordered the body control module, and was currently talking to Nissan to diagnose the failure. On 2/4/07, the contact advised the dealer that the heater vent control motor that adjusts the vents was constantly on blower mode. The heater vent control would not change to the defrost position when selected. The dealer repaired the vent modulator motor ,and the heater failure was resolved. The contact wanted the seat belt warning system repaired prior to the warranty expiring. The current mileage was 30,369. Consumer states hissing noise coming front right rear door even when radio is inoperable. Update 4/9.

This is a complaint on the 2002 Nissan Pathfinder defective 6-disc cd player. The manufacturer of this product should be made aware that it is a defective part and needs to be recalled. There are over 400 complaints on one website stating this fact. . Read more...

Second time bose 6 cd changer has failed since purchase of my certified pre-owned 2001 Nissan Pathfinder in April 2004. Same err2 message - grinding of cd's - no play, no eject. Already spent $250 getting fixed about 18 months ago - now same problem recurring.

Subject vehicle is 2001 Nissan Pathfinder le 3. 5. Err 2 diplayed on stereo/ cd player. Six (6) cd's in unit cannot be ejected.

6 disc cd changer shows err2 on screen and will not eject any disc. Problem occurred around 70k miles and dealer would not fix it under even an extended warranty. Quoted $1500 for new one or $500 for repair.

I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder that has the 6 disc bose cd change, I have contacted the original dealer of the vehicle as well as Nissan and clarion, the manufacture of the cd player and have received multiple snow jobs. All I am looking for is the defective player to either be fixed or replaced with a new unit, I know that I am not the only one out there after researching said player on the internet. I found out that several hundred if not thousand people have the same issue.

Cd player suddenly stopped working while it was switching from one cd to the next. I have a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder le that has approximately 74000 miles on it. This summer, the oem 6 disc cd changer by clarion in the car has stopped working properly. It was not used inappropriately or abnormally in any way. I inserted a cd into it, and it displayed "err2" on the screen, and began clicking repeatedly, and the cd did not play at all. I was able to eject all cd's from the changer, but the unit continues to not work. In subsequent attempts to play a cd in the changer, the same error "err2" displays and I hear the repeated clicking. I have not tried to replace the unit or fix this problem at all. I have done some online research and found that this is a very common defect in Nissan Pathfinders by readying/joining a forum where hundreds of users are experiencing the same problem. In fact, I have found pay services dedicated to repairing this unit because of the overwhelming population of users with the same problem. I believe Nissan should resolve this issue immediately. Cd player on '01 Nissan Pathfinder quit working, err 2 message and whirring and clicking sounds.

I purchased a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. The 6 disc bose cd player worked perfect for a few years. In 2006 it read err2. I attempted to retrieve the cd's but they would not come out. As a result the player continuously clicked and then eventually stopped. Now it does not do anything. I have found this problem to be very common in 2001 Pathfinder and infintiy qx4. There is not a cd player made that is compatible with bose that will sound good. To purchase a new one is ridiculous because of the high price through the dealership. I have spoken to many people in forums that have attempted to repair the broken unit only to have it last a few months. I refuse to throw away money and want to have my unit replaced by the dealership at no charge. There is obviously a trend here with the number of complaints and I would like this matter to be handled correctly.

Moreover I was shocked to find out that hundreds of other users across discussion forums are complaining about the same problem.
