My bose cd changer in my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder hasn't been working in a couple of years. It comes up with an err2 message. I know it's a common problem in this model and Nissan has not responded to any complaints I've had about this.

I have had the pulley repaired on my 2002 Pathfinder repair twice, in 2006 and again in 2008 I believe. And it is still giving me a problem. The driver seat motor will not move forward or backward, and in extreme hot weather, my motor drags, and it is hard to start the engine. The cd player never work right.

Cd player in 2001 Nissan Pathfinder will not work properly, it will only click. I have discovered from the internet numerous similar complaints about audio components.
Factory cd changer for 2001 Pathfinder le becomes jammed, will not play cds or eject them, shows an error code of err2. After doing research on the internet, I found out that the unit is manufactured by clarion and that many owners of the same vehicle have had the same problem. I contacted a Nissan dealership, they informed me that the unit could be repaired for $230 plus labor and that there was no guarantee. Some customers have reported that the problem occurred again after the unit was repaired and/or replaced. Since the vehicle is out of bumper to bumper warranty, Nissan refuses to do anything about it. I'm not sure if anything has been done about this, but feel it is something that should be researched and that Nissan should issue a recall on.
My 6 disc cd changer does not work. The problem has been well documented on this website, and several message boards. Nissan has refused to acknowledge the defect and has refused to correct the problem. There should be a recall on these cd players.
Cd changer system no longer functional in vehicle, reported to Nissan and they refused to assist. Err2 or err3 message when trying to play any cd, bose head unit seems to work fine, problem is limited to the clarion 6-disc changer component. Othes have reported this same issue, Nissan needs to take action or face losing brand loyal customers.
This complaint is in regards to my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder. The 6-cd in-dash changer does not work. It makes a clicking sound when you try to play a cd and displays "err2" on the screen. After researching this problem on the internet, I found that hundreds of other Nissan owners have this exact problem. The cd changer is rendered useless once this happens.
The cd changer in the Nissan Pathfinder 2001 has inherent defect. It appears that the mechanism inside fails no matter what type of repair it goes through. I contacted both Nissan and bose and no assistance what so ever.
Bosse 6 cd changer shows error2 on display and dose not play any music.
Audio disc player will no longer accept any disc for play.
Bose 6 cd changer does not work and has never worked for more than 6 months after I bought the truck.
On Thursday may 24, 2001, I went to pick up my Pathfinder at concord Nissan. My Pathfinder was in for warranty work, on the power controls for the driver seat and the cd player. Dealer had informed me that my 2001 Nissan Pathfinder le, VIN#jn8dr09y71w570077, is ready for pick up. As I go over the repairs, I notice the front driver seat is not bolted in. I go and get the service manager, scott rusche, and when he comes out, he really does not understand why I am upset. As scott stands, chewing gum with his hands behind his back, he casually says, everyone makes mistakes. I tried to get scott to see why it is such a big concern of mine, but I was unable to. I even told scott that his I do not give a shxx attitude was unsettling. I asked to see if the mechanic is qualified to the repairs. I asked if there was a torque specification for these bolts and I was told, not every bolt has torque requirements. This dealership did make a huge mistake by not bolting in the driver seat. I have asked for a written letter of explanation of how this could happen. This mistake could have been catastrophic! bolts that hold a seat in place are not an option; they were engineered to be there for a reason. If these bolts had gone unnoticed a serious accident could have occurred, perhaps even death. This is a major safety issue and at what point is a repair facility responsible for the quality of work they do and safety of their customers?.
Excessive heat from cd player, caused premature failure of dash lights (ac & other).

The compact disc fails to play properly. It would skip or stop playing. Also would make clicking sounds before it would eject cd. The exhaust system would make funny noises on right side. The check engine service light keeps coming on & staying. Had contacted & took vehicle to dealership. Mechanic noticed leaking out of manifold. Replaced the gaskets & the manifold.

Since purchasing this vehicle, I've had complained about the alignment (taken to deal and numerous other places) it has been aligned, tires rotated, balanced, etc. 7 (times) and I was told nothing was wrong hmmmm. Had to have all four tires replaced at 30,740 miles. Nissan denies its a defect on their car. I've repeatedly complained about a clunking noise in the rear (or brakes) again "no problems found--cant duplicate problem". Well, now I'm told my transmission needs to be replaced. The front end "steering" if very sensitive and when making a sudden movement, the car overcompensates tossing you throughout the cab. Cd and radio as well as antenna motor have recently been replaced. This car is a lemon and dangerous!!!!!! I want my money back!!!!!!!.
My Nissan Pathfinder cd changer keeps failing with a error message.
Stereo speakers failed.
