Failure Date: 07/21/2025

My warning lights are showing my driver front tire psi is high passenger front is real high and passenger rear is high then driver rear is extremely low. There are no signs of hole in tire but took to tire professional and they told me the rear tire has a manufacturer defect. Looks like it has been burnt or cut out spot on inside tire wall. My tire size is 255/60/r18. I have called the dealership where I just purchased the vehicle and they tell me to contact kumho tires and kumho tires tells me to contact dealership. This tire blows and can cause the vehicle to flip and possibly kill people in Pathfinder or others on road.

3 Tire problem of the 2004 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 07/24/2024

On October 23 2023 I purchased from firestone where I have been a customer for some 30 years paying nearly $1000 for 4 tires. 1) on January 6, 2024 the first tire on the front driver"s side had picked up a nail geico road hadzard came and removed the tire. Firestone said they could not repair the tire and replaced it with another suredrive new tire and charged me $55 plus dollars to replace. 2) on March 14, 2024 the 2nd tire on the rear passenger side picked up another nail geico came again and removed the tire that one was patched for free. 3) then on may 2, 2024 the front passenger side with a slash and could not be repaired so it was replaced with a new tire and charges me some $25. 4) then on July 24, 2024 the rear driver side and that tire had picked up a nail and by then I had started carrying an air pump in case of a flat and I would not have to wait for roadside service. So that time I left the nail in the tire and covered it with heavy piece of duct tape. Then attached the pump and aired it up and drove to the nearest firestone where they patched that tire. Now I have four tires on my car with patches. Even the on new tire that replaced the slashed tired soon picked up a nail and had to be patched. I bought the tires because I had michelin tires on my vehicle for which firestone said during a auto-care complete check special for $9. 99, that my tires were 12 years old and was dry rotted and dangerous to keep driving on. Being that I am a senior and ride alone most times I took their advice and bought a set of 4 new tires. I have asked the landlord to check their security cameras to rule out vandalism and I asked if others had suffered unusual tire flats. The answer was none. I live in a very clean and cared for apartment. Therefore it must be the tires. Maybe they were used instead of new. Perhaps you can help. Because now I feel more unsafe than before I bought the new tires. I am just worn out getting tire flats repaired.

13 Tire problem of the 2000 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 08/04/2008

I bought new fratera tires (4 in all) on 10/14/05, and was given an 80,000 mile warranty. My vehicle had 61,084 miles when they were purchased. The vehicle now has approximately 86,520 miles and the tires had to be replaced yesterday (8/3/08). Two of the tires were at the limit for being legal on the road. These tires has less than 26k miles and they had to be replaced. My driving habit is not to slam on the brakes, nor is it to spin the tires to where excess rubber is laid on the pavement. I don't even drive very many miles--less than 26k in almost 3 years!!!.

16 Tire problem of the 1997 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 03/13/2004

On Saturday, March 13, 2004, at approximately 12:00 driving on the east bound long island expressway ohe of the tires on my 1997 Nissan Pathfinder shredded/came apart the tire is a bridgestone dueler ht 265/70/15 # elekdcl1100. I just purchased the truck one month ago, and from what I was told at the bridgeston/firestone dealer the tire is only 3 years old. 3 year old tires should wear down not come apart. I was traveling at 50 mph and was able to control the vehicle until I was able to come to a stop on the shoulder. My truck sustained major damage to the front 1/4 panel, door, wheel well molding, the aluminum wheel and running board. I have pictures of the damage. This vehicle helps to allow me to make a living and I cannot afford to be without it for an extended period of time. Please forward this to the appropriate department to help me resolve this as quickly as possible. I contacted bridgestone and was given the run around and can only hope this can be resolved in the next 30 days or so, which is very hard for me to accept. If you can give/forward any further information to me I would appreciate it. I can also be reached at 631-463-9084. Thank you for handling this in an expedient manner paul balsamo .

While having michelin p255/65 r16 tire inspected for cause of tire noise, discovered inside tire over two dozen irregular shaped balls of rubber compound ranging from 4 to 10 mm in size. Tire dealer could not explain and michelin has not responded to my inquiry. Does this condition represent a potential tire failure problem?.

19 Tire problem of the 1999 Nissan Pathfinder

Failure Date: 11/09/2002

When driving 75 mph on a highway in alabama. The car suddenly felt very bumpy (as we were driving on the tire rim) and then in a matter of seconds the driver lost control but managed to steer the car over to the side of the road after letting it slow down on its own and take its course. After examining the tire, we saw that the tread had completely separated from the rest of the tire, all the way around the entire tire. It remained held together by a few steel threads, but 90% of the steel threads are sticking out of the side of the tire and the tire is completely torn apart at the tread separation points. This is an original tire that came with the car when it was purchased. It is the original extra tire (stored on the back of the car as a spare), that was put on the car in July of 1999 after a flat in one of the other tires. The 2 front tires on the car are also of this make and model (dunlop grandtrek tg35 p265/70r15), and we are very afraid that there is a chance this could happen again and we won't be as lucky as we were to walk away from this. Dt.

33 Tire problem of the 1996 Nissan Pathfinder

I leased a new 1996 Pathfinder from the dealer mentioned. Since I have had this truck the tires have been getting choppedand they stiil look new. Makes a wop wop noise as I ride down teh road ant the steering wheel shakes badly. The dealer has reaplaced these tires. All four of them. This has been done twice (bridgestone's were put on ) this is not including the tires it came with which were brand new. So my tires have been replaced 3 times total with the same problem. I threatened them with the lemon law here and they agreedto fix the problem. I have approximatley 10 complaints on this matter from Nissan. I was dealing with their consumer affairs dept and they all seem to be in this together. Even at other Nissan dealerships. I was lied on by the service manager his name is kelly brabbs. He stated that I was not rotating my tires properly and that is what caused the tire trouble note: manufacturer specs states my tires shoold be rotated every 7,500 mi. He said they should be rotated every 4000. Tire rotattion has nothing to do with tires chopping like mineeven I know this. Although I complied with his recommendation and paid out of muy pocket to have this rotation done the problem stil existed. Thne he lied to Nissan and told them he told me to rotate the tires every 3,750 miles. I have documents brabbs sent me saying 7,500 rotation from the dealerevrything they did they covered it up well with no records stating they repalced my tires but once . And that's a lie. I dont know why they are taking advantage of me this way. I guess it could be a racial issue. They have lied to me and on me so much. And I am paying$418. 00 a month. I am a fed officer and I have no reason to be dishonest. Please help me.
