Tire size continental cross contact 235/65/r18 lx 20. Three tires developed sidewall bubbles the fourth has tread breaking down. It was found during routine tire inspection at the car dealer. Tires have about 40,000 mile on them and rotated every 5,000. Contacted continental and told them the problem. They were not very helpful. I purchased new tires because having 3 bubbles is unsafe. I went to costco to purchase new tires. Will never buy continetal tires again. If you have theses tires have them inspected frequently.

Drivers side rear tire blew out while coming to stoplight at approx 15 -20 mph. No prior warning message if this had happened at highway speed it could have caused injury or death. There was no impact to the tire prior to blowout. We are retaining tire for inspection and are afraid to continue using the remaining 3 tires. We purchased 4 tires new from tire kingdom in fort myers FL (#6309 #39) when our vehicle had 15049 miles on it.

Vehicle purchased new 3/2016, less than 15,000 miles (hwy). 12/1/2016 while driving on hwy, rear passenger tire sidewall shredded and macerated. Since buying car, have had frequent "low pressure" readings on all tires randomly without any definite cause that mechanics noted (tires were not removed). The 1 tire was replaced at our expense. The car dealership (Nissan) and tire manufacturer (continental) each defer responsibility to other. There are multiple similar stories easily found online with these tires. While this particular one apparentlydoes not have a recall, perhaps it should before someone dies. Continental crosscontact lx sport.

Cooper tire - discover cts - manufactured 4209 - as I was driving down the road, heard a loud sound like a shotgun - and tire lost air. Sidewall of tire appears as though it was sliced with a knife. There was no pothole in the road or other visible defect that would cause the tire to rip.

Purchased four (4) new kumho road venture apt tires size p265/70/r16 on 8/1/2009. At time of purchase the SUV had 58,951 miles. After getting a low air pressure alarm from the vehicle on 10/4/2009, I checked the tire pressure and noticed three (3) sidewall defects on the left front tire. At this time, the SUV has 61,581 miles. I took the vehicle back to the tire retailer for inspection. The tire retailer states that the defect is due to a normal manufacturing practice of overlapping material. The tire retailer could not explain why three (3) defects instead of one (1) defect. This appears to be a manufacturing defect not covered by a recall notice.
