Front collision sensor has failed, on a vehicle that had 40,000 miles. This keeps the adaptive cruise being able to be used as well as automatic emergency braking.

Forward warning system dashboard light goes on and does not shut off. Module has been replaced at a cost of $2500 and this has not solved the problem. Light has gone off with a chime alarm and yellow triangle with an exclamation point too. We were told we needed to get it fixed as soon as possible for safety reasons. Unfortunately, Nissan dealer can't seem to fix the problem and we're afraid to drive the vehicle.

The collision warning deactivated the vehicles cruise control and slowed the vehilce down at highway speeds. Traveling at 80mph speed limit and cruise disengaged and as a result the traffic to the rear of the vehicle came very close. There were two vehicles behind my vehicle and it was too close for comfort. The event occurred in north dakota on interstate with no forward traffic.

Idle needle jumping when turning the car on. Delay in shifting gears and throttle response. Forward collision warning goes off at random times even when no cars are present.

Stopped at light the car suddenly bolted forward hitting ( 4-5 ft between vehicles)car infront. My car then bolted forward and hit the vehicle again. The gear shift would not respond to putting it into park, the only way it was corrected was turn off the engine. Second time this happened was in my garage. . The car bolted in reverse and would not stop. Until engine turned off. I took the car to the dealer and he said my sensors were bent. . . . (from hitting the car) and we waited 5 hours for Nissan tech to respond, which I left the dealership and told them to let me know what the tech reps said. But I was charged $247. 00 for estimate and told the replacement of sensors would be $2,970. 29.

In the past week or so I’ve experienced a blinking front collision light blinking as I’m driving. In the past two days the blinking light is now an actual audible alert with a collision warning system malfunction warning light saying it is disabled. Sometimes however, the adaptive cruise control still appear to work, sometimes it doesn’t. The light and system malfunction appears and then turns off on its own with no apparent reason. This is a serious safety concern because if the system does malfunction can lead to a collision when driving and/or parking if the light is blinking. When I took it to the dealer they were quick to dismiss the issue saying it can be caused by an obstruction to the windshield camera by dirt, frost, ice, etc. They cleared the codes (c2582-97, c2506-49 and c1f05-49) and sent me on my way. Sure enough on my way home the same thing happened. Please investigate this matter before someone is seriously injured or worse.

The vehicle has an ongoing safety-related defect involving the forward distance sensor. The distance sensor randomly turns off while driving, which disables critical collision-avoidance systems including automatic emergency braking (aeb), forward collision warning, and intelligent cruise control. The failure is intermittent and unpredictable. The safety systems may appear functional and then shut off without warning, which creates a safety hazard because the driver cannot reliably depend on the vehicle’s crash-prevention features. The vehicle has been taken in for repair multiple times. The distance sensor has already been replaced once, but the problem continues to occur. In addition to the sensor issue, the vehicle has experienced multiple serious repairs, including replacement of the ecm, fuel pump replacement twice, battery replacement twice, engine oil pressure switch replacement, and other electrical-related issues. These repeated failures suggest an ongoing electronic or control system problem. At one point, the vehicle was held by the dealership due to the ecm being removed. A representative at Nissan of murfreesboro suggested that I could pick up and drive the vehicle without the new ecm installed, stating it “shouldn’t” cause damage. I refused due to safety and risk of engine damage. Nissan consumer affairs has denied a buyback request and has only offered partial repair assistance, despite the safety system continuing to fail. The defect remains unresolved and continues to disable collision-avoidance systems while the vehicle is in operation. This issue presents a safety risk due to the loss of crash-prevention functionality without warning. I’ve had issues with the vehicle since I bought it in 2024. Nissan would only see my vehicle if I had a “video” since they have to have “proof” of the issue. Jan. 5, 2026 is the most recent time of me taking it in for the electrical light turning on and they said it’s internal failure of distance censor again.

Front collision shuts off intermittently for no reason. Causes cruise control to shut off immediately and disabled collision avoidance breaking. If cruise is on and approaching slower vehicle car will not slow down causing driver to break aggressively.

The forward collision warning and traction control light is stuck on both together. Today is the 1st time it has come on, but when doing research I seen that people have had this issue before and that there was a recall for maxima’s and murano’s, but nothing that has been seen for the Pathfinder.

Cruise control does not always brake when coming close to object. Abs, traction control and collision warning lights will come on periodically causes cruse control to not operate at all. First time it happened was Dec of 2020, was told by dealer it was faulty sensor and was supposedly fixed yet warning lights continue to come on frequently and cruise control will not work until car if shut of and back on. Since 2020 I have reported is to keating Nissan a few times but they say they lights have to be on when I bring it it. When car shut off lights go off and don’t always come back on right away. Car has tended to speed up on its own when cruise control is on when no need to speed up on flat straight road stretch. Last time light illuminated was Feb 1st, Jan 14 2023 although it has happened periodically since 2021 after first incident in 2020. Also warning sensor for coming close to objects in front of you when parking does not alert at all.

The car delays start. When I press the push to start, the radio will come on but all the indicators will be lit but the car wouldn't start. Sometimes I have to press the start button multiple times. Forward collision warning sensor randomly turns off. Sensor will say malfunctioning at random times.

Multiple times (greater than 10) at highway speeds forward collision avoidance warning light displayed and applied automatic braking. This has happened with and without cruise control engaged. Vehicle feels like transmission slips then reengages while traveling at highway speeds. Repair shop has been unable to reproduce.

The icc gives false crash warnings and automatically brakes your vehicle while driving at highway speeds, which is a dangerous situation. I believe it to be a bad bosch radar sensor which is faulty. Other owners have told me of their same problem.
