1 Rear Seat Belt problem of the 2001 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 08/15/2007

I was in a low impact wreck--no damage to my 2001 Nissan Quest van. My 7 year old son was in the very back bench seat on the passenger side. When I slammed on my brakes to avoid being hit by the other vehicle my son's seat belt released and he went flying into the front passenger seat and then hit the side door. I want an explanation as to why the seat belt buckle failed in a low impact crash. I will be taking it to a dealership to get it looked at. My son was injured in the crash and had to be transported to a trauma unit.

2 Rear Seat Belt problem of the 2005 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 08/26/2005

Outer rear seat belts do not work properly. There is stitching in the seat belt that does not allow the clasp to move freely. The clasp gets stuck below the stitching and it gets stuck above the stitching. I child cannot work the seat belt properly. Once the clasp is below the stitching will it work properly in an accident?.

4 Rear Seat Belt problem of the 1997 Nissan Quest

Failure Date: 05/10/2003

I just wanted to state that I have identified with most of the failure problems that are listed on the complaint page. The right rear seat belt has failed, it will not pullout or retract, and no one cause this problem, it is a malfunction of the saet belt. There is a significant fuel odor in the van from time to time, no particular time noted. The sliding door does not lock and unlock properly, and it will lock by itself and stick, also it will not stay in the open position consistantly. My brake pads are going out, it may just be normal wear and tear, but they seemed to go out all of a sudden. In general it makes all kinds of whistling, grinding and bumping noises when driving.
