1 Tire problem of the 2024 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 02/25/2025

I was sold dry rotted tires (235/60/r18/103h), on Sunday, March 23, 2025. I noticed hazardous condition while driving on freeway under the speed limit where tires were making very loud grinding/riveting sound and I couldn't drive a normal freeway speed, on March 25, 2025. The front driver tire was sold to me damaged where it doesn't properly hold the required air to operate my vehicle safely at 16 psi. I proceeded to get tires inspected at walmart where I was alerted that it wasn't safe to drive the vehicle due to the conditions of the tires. I contacted business and asked to speak with manager at the location wo didn't offer any solution to rectify this selling of dry rotted hazardous tires. I was simply told to provide a copy of inspection report and my receipt with no resolution to this date where my vehicle hasn't been moved due to the hazardous condition of the tires that affect my safety. ; and is a deceptive business practice.

2 Tire problem of the 2023 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 03/23/2024

On 3/20/24, I bought a 2023 Nissan Rogue platinum from car max, east haven, CT with 15,500 miles on it, original tires. We noticed the dunlap grandtrek pt20 235/55r19 101v treads were warn for only 15,500 miles. Took the car on 3/23/24 to town fair tire, milford, CT to measure treads and they agreed that they were too warn for 15,500 miles. Their report showed remaining tread life FL-1, fr-1, rl-1, rr-1 and suggested I had one month left. I then took it to paul miller Nissan, black rock, CT 3/26/24 where their report showed "may require future attention" lf 5, rf 5, lr 4, rr 4 and said I will need tires before winter. Contacted good year claim number 1860341 and had the tires inspected by jordan of modern tires, shelton, CT who contacted good year after inspection. He got a response of tires not covered, too bad for you from good year. I'm pissed now because how can a 1 year old car with 15,500 miles need new tires? this is bs (sorry).

3 Tire problem of the 2022 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 01/17/2024

235/60r18 tire size I bought a new 2022 Rogue March 2022 which only now has 14,000 miles. During regular maintenance on 1/13/24 , I was told I needed new tires because of tread wear. Nissan said they do not give tire warranty and hankook would be responsible. After looking at bbb reports, there are quite a few others with similar or same issues. Blow outs, knots or baldness on tires. If these tires don’t last even 2 years or past 14,000 miles,I consider them defective in some way and certainly a safety issue. If Nissan has complaints and still continues to use this tire they are to blame as well.

4 Tire problem of the 2023 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 10/31/2023

Dunlop grandtrek pt21 235/60/r18 tires were taken off with 3mm of tread left at the time the vehicle had 5k miles on it, tires were on from factory. The tires would cause the vehicle to fishtail and or hydroplane, a few times we almost lost control of the vehicle, thank god we had and angel watching over us, and was able to regain control. We put a warranty claim into dunlop for the tires, they denied it!!! meanwhile, I ordered a set of winter tires to replace these bald tires, as new york state winter sets in, I needed to be safe! I have a friend that bought her vehicle 3 days after me and her tires are the same way! to the point where she traded! the problem was identified at a dealership when the winter tires were put on. The company of the tires didnt ask for pictures or anything just denied the claim saying it must be a suspension issue but prior to finding the tires being bald it was at a Nissan dealership to diagnose the issue they found everything as it should be, except the tires were low on tread.

6 Tire problem of the 2013 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 09/27/2023

I was driving on the interstate at right around 50-60mph, the day was sunny. I was in the middle lane on i275 and there was normal flow of traffic. I saw no debris. Then all of the sudden it sounded like an explosion and my car jolted. I knew something was very wrong and kept control of car. When the tire service man came he noted it the sidewall had blown out. The tread was good and no other areas affected. Other tires from this time were recalled just not the 16 size. I am concerned this tire is also affected with sidewall defects.

9 Tire problem of the 2019 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 06/24/2020

We were driving down road going about 55 mph. Our 2019 Nissan Rogue gave us a warning that our tire pressure was low. We immediately pulled over an inspected our tires. The tires appeared fine but the air pressure in the right rear tire was about 5 lbs pressure low. We immediately put the tire manufacturers recommended air pressure. Our vehicle warning light went off and we completed our road trip. On the morning of 6-25 we noticed completed flat rear passenger tire. After further inspection of the tire, we noticed the tire tread had a slight tear from the inside of the tire to the outside of the tire. It was obvious the damage was not caused by road debris or any road hazards or miles on these tires. We have not put more than 12,000 miles on this tire. These tires were about a year old and the tread was within the safety depth. This could have cause an accident in which substantial injury or death could have occurred. Yokohama tires should be ashamed of this lack of quality. It is believed this tire was manufactured in the yokohama mississippi tire plant in January- feburary of 2019. Pictures can be given upon request.

10 Tire problem of the 2014 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 11/23/2019

I bought michelin tires (premier ltx- 225/65 r17 102h sl bsw gm) with warranty of 60k miles. I drove 25k miles and it is wore out. I bought the most expensive tires as it is my family car. I complained to michelin and they don't think it is a safety issue as it is prorated warranty it is not a guarantee. They couldn't answer the question that if I trust that the tires will run around 60k and they need change at around 25 is considered a product failure or not, they mentioned that they will not do anything about it and I have to change the 4 tires. I would like to address it as a safety issue as the tires are not safe as advertised. My complaint number at michelin is 7345071353.

12 Tire problem of the 2014 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 07/08/2015

While driving on a local road at approximately 30 mph my wife said she heard a pop and felt a tire go flat in an instant. The tires have under 17k miles and came on our 2014 Nissan Rogue. They are goodyear assurance fuel max tires 225/65r17 dot # m62y lb1r. Tires have been rotated and inflation maintained have not dealt.

13 Tire problem of the 2012 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 02/14/2015

Dunlop 7000 series v rated had these on a 2012 Rogue very unsafe in wet no traction at all in snow and ice even with awd vehicle worst tire ever owned unsafe dangerous. Dunlop refuses to acknowledge manufacturing defects in these tires ie. . . . . No traction at all, very dangerous as a n all season tire in any snow or ice condition. Nissan refuses to stop putting these on their cars. Consumers are at risk of serious injury or death with these on their cars.

14 Tire problem of the 2012 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 03/08/2013

I purchased this vehicle new in Nov 2011. There was no snow that winter. This year was a normal winter. I could not believe how dangerous it was to drive in the snow with this vehicle. On the date of the incident I lost control in snow and ice and nearly crashed. The "all wheel drive" did nothing at all to correct the problem. I contacted Nissan customer service and filed a complaint (#10800081). They do not return calls and did not attempt to help resolve the problem. I discovered that Nissan installed a high performance sport "v" rated tire on this light 4 cylinder cross over. When I contacted dunlop they did not hesitate to advise that I replace the tires with a goodyear assurance comfortred touring tire for maximum wet, dry and snow conditions. I feel these tires(dunlop high performance sp sport 7000 a/s size 225/55/18) on this vehicle in new england states pose an extreme hazard and danger to owners of this vehicle and Nissan should take responsibility for a recall.

15 Tire problem of the 2011 Nissan Rogue

Failure Date: 10/16/2011

The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Rogue awl, purshcsed new from maguire Nissan lebanon, PA the original tires are dunlop sp sports 7000as line sizep225/55r18/sl. The vehicle under 10,000 miles produced a whipping sound which altered in pitch with the speed of the vehicle. These tires were rotated per manufacutes instruction, aligned and balanced every 5000 miles. The car was taken back to maguire Nissan on three occassions at which time they acknowledged the tires were defective . The Nissan corporation was contacted by me and so was dunlop tires. They acknowledged that three of the tires showed bumps on the tread surface, but refused to accept responsibility for poor manufacturing quality. They claimed the tires had not failed; therefore, they had no responsibilities to replace these tires. The car has now done 33,000 miles and the problem has progressively worsened to the extent the noise from the tires are deafening and results in severe strain and noise fatigue while driving. I recently had an estimate to replace all 4 tires and the cost per wal mart would be $964. The ntsb’s record in pursuing these corporate criminals and ensuring the safety of the motoring public has at best been indifferent and at worst collusive and complicit. Do people recall the tire failures on Ford explores, the ignition switches debacle in GMC vehicles and the accelerator issues with Toyota. Let us see if you have any teeth or are you the toothless wonders that the public have now come to believe you are?.
