I came across an article saying there was a recall for 2013 Nissan’s with airbag sensor problems, but when I went to go see if my car qualified, they said no.
Slid on black ice (luckily only going about 40mph) car hit a cement guard rail head on severally damaging the entire front of the car (waiting on if it's totaled) no injuries but air bags did not deploy. Well it wasn't super fast that hard of a head on hit they should have deployed.

Passenger air bag turn off after being replaced from recall.
Both my driver and passenger seat airbag signals are on and say they the seat is empty, when someone is in the seat, meaning if I crash neither airbags would deploy. I took it to the dealership and they said my VIN wasn’t covered by any recalls.

One day I got in my car with my mother and it told me that the passager air bag was off but she was sitting in it. I had just turned it on and the day before that it was fine. Also the one on my dash said that there was a air bag problem. It wasn't hit or touched it was truly over night infront of my house then the lights for the air bag were on when I started my car.
Takata recall passenger air bag does not turn on when passenger is in car while the car is and is not in motion. Car turned off while pulling out of driveway. Mechanic confirmed I have a wiring issue somewhere when they tried to put new fog lights in and issue was not resolved.

I received a postcard from Nissan about the recall. I've called the dealership to make an appointment to be fixed but dealership informed me they have not received parts from Nissan and will not receive until August. I am extremely upset due to a road trip I have to do soon with my son. I believe this is unacceptable and placing my passenger at risk due to the neglect on Nissan's part. I hope this is fixed as soon as possible. I feel Nissan should extend a rental to those who are traveling free of charge until they rectify this issue.
I received a recall notification regarding the front passenger seat occupant classification system(OCS) software defect requiring reprogramming to detect a passenger in order to deploy the airbag in the event of an accident, and the child restraint system(crs), in particular the seat belt bracket deformity also in the front passenger seat requiring reinforcement. On 6/24/16 I took it to a local Nissan dealer which informed me that they could not complete the recall because they did not have the required part, therefore it would have to be ordered. As a result my appointment has been set for 1 month later. I checked with another Nissan dealer closer to where I work and they also confirmed that there was no eta on when the part would be available but would place me on a waiting list and contact me when it became available.
Nhtsa recall number: 16v-242 I went to my local Nissan dealership (9010 liberia avenue manassas,va20110) on 6/22/2016 to have the recall done by appointment but they could not perform the service as they did not have the necessary part. I was instructed to await a new email appointment but despite multiple phone calls and emails, I can't seem to get anyone to respond. I went back physically today at 9. 15am 11/2/2016 but again I was told the necessary parts are not available. I don't know if they want to wait till somebody actually dies to take care of the recall. Do help.

Weston Nissan Volvo / to whom it may concern in December 2013, I bought a 2013 Nissan Sentra, from your dealer services weston Nissan. So far, I received forever the services from your specialized department, maintenance required by your people in the same place where it was purchased. A few days ago, the vehicle presented a fault according to reports by the mechanic of weston Nissan; corresponds to a failure of transmission. That person notified me that the transmission (powertrain) is damaged and have to be replaced at a cost of $ 4000. This transmission was damages because proper maintenance was not performed, as reported by the mechanic. Now, as can this be possible? , if the car constantly carry to service according to the warranty and maintenance requirements upon miles. And in the service record, you can see that there is no service for this part. Nissan should stand behind their transmission product, reputation and do what is right for all consumers who experience a traumatic and costly situation due to the poor quality and failed transmission. Nissan decline to take any responsibility. Also, I¿m very disappointed because in that short time the car suffered air conditioning problems, replacement gas pump, air bag problems (many times) and more recently serious transmission problem. In my car¿s service record, there is no evidence of changing air filters and other important car¿s parts, which gives serious doubts about your service¿s quality. Personally, replace the air filter was never changed. I think there is no reason, if there is been a properly service, to have all this issues with my car. Best regards, NHTSA recall 14v-138.

Recalls for the following: 1) takata recall; 2) mfg. Recall #r1608 ; 3) NHTSA recall #16v-24; and 4) the occupant classification system(OCS) designed to classify the size/weight of front seat passenger, and under certain conditions, automatically turn off the passenger airbag. Ocs system is designed ton only deploy front passenger airbag when the front passenger seat is occupied by an adult. The OCS software may incorrectly classify the passenger seat as empty when it's occupied. If child restraint system (crs) is installed in front passenger seat, the seat belt bracket could deform and airbag may not deactivate as designed. Failure of passenger airbag to deploy during a crash could increase the risk of injury to passenger. If seat belt bracket deforms, this may increase risk of injury to child sitting in a crs installed in the front seat.
When the car sped sometimes begins to vibrate this does at startup until 15 miles and then the car works normally. It is as if in this situation start to happen. By putting the car in neutral does not have this problem.
Transmission doesn't shift smoothly. Jerks at high or low speeds. Rpms rev up past 5 which requires me to release the accelerator for vehicle to shift. As of Jan 3 2019. Air bags were fixed during recall. In 2016. However lights came on immediately and never went off. Dealer continues to want me to pay for repairs.

Prior to the additional failures the vehicle was remedied under Nissan's cvt consumer satisfaction program recall. The vehicle was taken the dealer where it was diagnosed that the spiral cable had fractured and the transmission was defective and they needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the issue. During the failure the vehicle failure mileage was approximately 80,000. Kh.
I recently took my 2013 Nissan Sentra to the dealership for a recall update where the vehicle didn't recognize the passenger seat was occupied by an adult and as a result the passenger airbag was turned off. Well, even after the system update I keep having the same problem. The system still doesn't recognize when my mom (150 pounds) is a passenger and even less when my 120 pound sister is with me. This is frustrating and scary because soon my daughter will reach the age where she would be able to ride on the passenger seat. I feel like after investing a considerable amount of money on such an essential asset the least I can do is expect for it to be safe for my family and myself.
Owner was in a crash on a city road traveling about 30 mph where she t boned another car. Neither of the airbags deployed.
I hit a metal barrier at 75 mph on the highway not one airbag deployed. I have had 2 surgeries significant brain damage and memory loss. Nissan won't even acknowledge there was a problem. Also transmission blew at less than 36000 miles mostly highway.
2013 Nissan Sentra air bags:frontal the airbags in the car would turn off when my friend sat in the passenger seat. This happened multiple times. There has been a previous recall and the Nissan service center had my software updated then. I am still having issues.

I have received Nissan recall # 14v-138. I have stopped by to Nissan service center at premier Nissan, fremont. They have confirmed that OCS software has been successfully reprogrammed to reduce the potential for classifying the seat as empty. But after running the run few more weeks, I have seen the same signal showing in my dashboard. 'pass air bag off' although at that time CO-passenger was sitting in the passenger seat. Its coming frequently. But not all the time.
