I received notification of a stop lamp switch recall from Nissan and made an appointment with the local dealer, who is unable to get the parts needed. I contacted Nissan and was told that the parts would not be available until fall 2021, possibly in October. They said I should drive it "at my discretion," and the symptoms could be that the brake lights won't work, which could cause collision or the car won't start. I can call them back if these things happen, but unless or until they do, I should just drive it "at my discretion. " I love my car and it has less than 4,000 miles on it. I am now skeptical of driving it. It's now may and I have to worry until probably October than my brake lights aren't working or that my car won't start.

As I was driving or turning, car would hesitate, speed would drop even though foot still on accelerator. Turns out had moisture in driver's brake light which caused car switch to brake thereby causing jerking hesitation. Dangerous because even though car slowed down, brake lights not lit, dangerous to drivers behind me. Light replaced due to seal allowing moisture in.

Water is entering the trunk and is routed along the electrical wiring, this is due to the rear light module is sealed into place with a product that is not fit for the purpose intended. Vehicle was involved in an accident with a semi truck and the airbags failed to deploy. Consumer states that the generic brake pads are not compatible with the original parts as excessive squealing takes place.
