After purchasing the 2020 Nissan Sentra. I noticed the led headlights were not bright at projecting on the road correctly. Compared to traditional bulbs and other sedans of year 2020 models. I complained to Nissan was told that it was a recall for the left headlight due to misalignment. After they replaced it, they both were not aligned. Took it back to the dealership to mention it. They could not perform any tests because it daylight and told me that there is no way since the dealer hours are in daylight hours and to self diagnose and correct it myself showing my how to align it. I tried to alight which worked. But the brightness of led of far less than other cars. Which is safety issue because you can only see the road and any objects approximately 20 feet ahead. The light is focused all the center of the vehicle ahead and leaves the side and main areas dark. I would have to manually use my high beams to navigate on streets.

Subject: drivers are misled by the newer illuminated dashboards to think their headlights are on several times, I drove during the night and I was misled by the brightly lit dashboard into believing that my headlights are on. In fact, they were off. This is a problem that many other drivers report with all the newer cars that must have an illuminated dashboard during the day. . Read more...

To whom it may concern:
I purchased my 1998 Nissan Sentra xe/gxe January 27, 2005, from a used auto car dealer. May 18. 2006 defect on the vehicle occurred that caused my vehicle to go up in flames and caused it to be destroyed. The fire started with the head light and leading to other parts of the motor. The fire department was called out to the scene. The description of the fire was that it started from the right head light which had a shortage in the wiring and set off a box behind the light which caused the fire to melt the transmission fluid box which caused the fire to spread.

2002 Nissan Sentra. While driving on the highway the car shut off, took the car to a mechanic. Went on the Nissan website and found two recalls, they were engine control module case holder and head lamp adjuster. Then, took car into dealership, they ran VIN # and they found three recalls, one was on the foam on the engine control module and the other two were unknown. One of the recalls would cause the vehicle to shut down or cut off. Took the car into the dealership on Friday August 19, 2005. They did not repair due to warranty issues. Spoke to consumer affairs office of Nissan and they said this car would not be fixed by Nissan without cost. The car has not been repaired and it is still at the dealership.

The consumer complained about other motorist exterior headlights. They were blinding when driving at night. The consumer stated that they are a safety hazard when coming in contact with the vehicle at night.
Intermittently the head lights failed to function , and when they failed it resulted in the windshield wipers, turn signals and hazard lights being inoperative.

Traveling on freeway at approx. 20-25 mph. In stop and go traffic, approx. 4pm. The car in front of me stopped suddenly, I attempted to brake hard, but the brakes did not respond. I then attempted to steer to the side but I could only go so far. I had the feeling that I lost power. I could not get out of the car after impact because the power locks did not work. I was told that the head lamp was embedded into the battery.

My neighbor told me my brake lights had been out for awhile -- when the headlights were on and I hit the brake pedal, the brake light/rear tail light would go out completely, leaving only the center light bar on the trunk on to serve as a brake light. I'd been driving with my lights on during the day, thinking it would be safer since I have a toddler in the car with me. The dealership fixed the problem ($285) and told me, although they didn't write it on the invoice, that it looked like "somebody" had wired the brake lights wrong in a section between the trunk side and the frame and they were getting hot. I have never had any other work done on the lights and said so, but got no response. I had taken the car to autozone the day before, to see if the bulbs were the problem. The manager there came out to look at the bulbs and showed me where the driver-side brake light socket had started to melt. So it was a fire hazard as well.
