Other Fuel System Problems of Nissan Sentra - part 2

My car has 92,000 miles. As of 3 days it's been acting up I went to a mechanic and they said I needed to replace my transmission. That it wasn't sending enough signal to the engine to have my car run. When I step on the gas it goes around 10mph but 2 days ago it completely stopped. And I got a letter on the mail a while back that it had a recall.

Vehicle started having issues with rpms going up, but losing power, jerking, and then on 01-14-21 it completely shut down in the middle of a street intersection and I almost got t-boned. I was told by Nissan to take to dealership for diagnostic testing and they would review the warranty issue if it was the transmission failure that they have been sued for. The mileage was 108,000 when it was towed to the dealer because I did not feel safe driving it. Dealership confirmed transmission needs replaced for just under $4000. Called Nissan corp back who sent the info up for review. On 01-19-21 I received a call from colleen who stated she is the district manager and the vehicle is no longer covered under warranty and they �have fulfilled their obligation�. Each question was answered with the same verbatim response. I asked to have the case be escalated above colleen due to the fact the transmission went bad early due to their faulty cvt system they continue to sell and have not recalled. After being told she does not have a boss, colleen stated they will give me the same answer as she makes the decision and they have met their obligation. I asked she escalate it anyways. I have yet to hear from anyone else at the Nissan corp.

Backing out of a driveway my axel and ball joint. The control arm disconnected from my transmission. This caused damage to the side paneling in front my tire. The car wouldn't move even when put in neutral. When I go in reverse before this happened my car would putter and then die. The car will not reverse unless I put the car in neutral and roll out from where I am.

While driving from az to CA on the highway, my vehicle lost the ability to speed up while pushing the pedal. It happened a total of three times on 2 different days. The first two times I couldn't get above 60 however on one occasion, it dropped down to 3-5 miles per hour and the pedal was to the floor. I was on a 2 lane highway with semi trucks having to pass me on the left. I was terrified, had no cell service and had to drive on the shoulder with my hazards on until the shoulder disappeared. Eventually it returned to normal, but it was a very scary experience. I see now that Nissan has had a multitude of complaints with the same problem. Shame on you for not recalling the transmission.

Car looses power mid driving. . . . Seatbelt on back passenger side does not always click in safely. . . . When pressing on gas there is a clicking sound and car does not always go forward when going from idle to moving on the road. . . Twice the car went forward fast and sometimes it has too much power when I am not pressing the gas.

Vehicle loses fuel power when making turns or when attempting to accelerate quickly (entering freeway on the on-ramp). Rpm fluctuate or increase even if accelerator is depressed. Per mechanic, faulty throttle positioning sensor is very common with Nissan.

My 2016 Nissan Sentra has always skipped some, acted like it didn't want to go, but the other day, when I pressed the gas, it wouldn't go. This was as I was riding down the road. At times, the gas pedal would accelerate some, but then the car would start jerking. To make it home, I had to accelerate, coast, try the gas pedal again, and coast some more. No engine, or warning lights ever came up on the dash.

I can be driving and maintaining the speed limit when all of a sudden my speed will drop almost like I am hitting the brakes. This has happened during city driving and while on the high way. This has been happening for about 8 months now.

The check engine light keeps coming on due to the same air flow problem. Every time car is scanned the code comes up as the mass air flow sensor. Since purchasing the car, I have replaced this sensor twice. I replaced the sensor on 7/8/19 approximately 4 weeks after purchasing the vehicle and then again on 10/10/18. Before replacing the part on oct. 10, I was merging onto the highway and my vehicle would not accelerate over 20 mph. My car also idles, jerks when placed in park & has decreased fuel efficiency.

Driving on city street car started making loud noises an started slowing down. Thankfully I was almost near a friends home an pulled into their yard. Had to b towed to parents home. Transmission was the issue . I was fortunate to know someone near the incident otherwise it could have been really serious on the highwaycost 5000. 00 I'm still paying on car owe 2500. 00, a student, wrk full time no $ to fix, only 101 thousand miles but they will not fix???!! I'm not the only one with said issue with a Nissan and respectfully need the car made correctly.

I purchased a 2014 Nissan Sentra and within 6 months the transmission suddenly went out. It started acting funny on my way out of town to an appt. And within 2 hours exited the interstate and was unable to move off the ramp due to transmission going out. Press the gas pedal and nothing happened no raving or rpm movement nothing. Finally I shut her off for about 5 minutes restarted put her in drive and she jerked and lunged across intersection. She then threw the engine light on for transmission issues. Prior to stopping and lunging not so much as a light had come on. The car acted like it had gotten bad gas a time or two but otherwise no warning or anything prior.

While driving on the highway, the car will stop responding to the gas pedal and lose power. You will either have to pull over or maintain a much slower speed. This becomes a hazard and can cause an accident.

Car cvt transmission slipping and shuddering while in motion also stahling while entering freeway, crossing intersections, and while turning.

My car was diagnosed by the dealership where I purchased my 2015 Nissan Sentra with a cracked, leaking sending unit at connector, plastic mold. There is no recall for the 2015 Sentra, but there is for the 2015 altima and 2015 maxima for the same problem--a leak from the sending unit. I filed a case with Nissan corporation on either July 29 or July 30, 2019 but as of today, August 20th, I cannot get them to call me a work so I may discuss the problem. The latest runaround was a voicemail left on my home phone to call their arbitration at 615-725-7670 but it goes to a ring/no/answer. So I call the main 800-647-7261 on an endless loop, never being given the opportunity to discuss my case with anyone. The main customer service is answered by rude, unprofessional people.

Dtcs code po101 keep coming up. . It says replace mass airflow sensor. . . I got a sensor from the dealer. . . . And clear the code. After a few days of driving it came back up po101. I feel like vehicle is not moving. My foot is all the way down on the gas rpm is at 4000 and it not moving.

I was driving on the highway and the car would not accelerate past 60mph, once I got off the highway the car wouldnt accelerate past 20mph and the rpm would shoot to 4,000!!! I almost got hit making a turn because the car would not accelerate. The car only has 44,000 miles on it with no previous mechanical issues.

On June 18 2019 I was driving 55 mph on the belt line in madison, WI. With my newborn daughter. When all of a sudden the car started lurching, I had no control. In heavy traffic I was afraid of causing in accident. The brakes were hard and if I pushed on the gas it started lurching out of control. I was finally able to pullover and noticed the voc light was on. I pushed the voc button to turn it off. But it wouldn't turn off. I called my father larry. He told me to turn off the car wait a minute. Turn it back on. To see if the voc would reset. It did reset. The problem continues I taken my car into different locations for inspection. I see a lot of people have the same problem on this website. However my car does not fall into the recall. Why? it affects steering (lack of) brakes (non existent) gas (causes lurching). Very dangerous for me & my newborn. Not to mention those around me. My car has 115,000 miles.

As I was driving or turning, car would hesitate, speed would drop even though foot still on accelerator. Turns out had moisture in driver's brake light which caused car switch to brake thereby causing jerking hesitation. Dangerous because even though car slowed down, brake lights not lit, dangerous to drivers behind me. Light replaced due to seal allowing moisture in.

Driving and engine light comes on. Took to auto repair shop ( second time, same issue). Mass air flow intake sensor goes bad. Safety issues as car can surge or stall while driving.

Takata recall "ive suffered what I believe long term fuel inhalation I have had severe memory loss I went from having a home to staying in a motel becuase the fuel I was unknowingly inhaling for god knows how long cause me to lose conciousness even halucinate everyone assumed I was on drugs assumed I had a mental condition when turns out. All my symptoms lead tothe actual logic reason considering I soend most my days in my car because of all the appoiintments I have that was cause by this lemon of a car I was sold not only was I inhaling it my babies 4 and 2 and my 11 week old fetus growing inside me was also ive had to fix the brake caliper 3 times on top of this new fuel problem in this car OH not to mention that I already replaced a transmission in 2016 mind you my car is a 2014 new I drove it with zero miles on Dec 2014 like less then a month later the check engine light was on and my strut needed replacement I have over 75 pages of maintance reports and repairs on this vehicle I still owe on a car thats potentionaly cuse me and my family long term medical problems on tol of the financial hole it put us in I was on the street the times the brake caliper broke and the freeway when the check engine light and the strut started clicking.

Vent control valve/evap canister I can not put gas in my 2003 Nissan Sentra when I try it pours out on the ground and takes 15-20 minutes to put mabe 50 cents of gas in car . My engine light is also on.

Coming to a stop in a l turn lane, with foot definitely only on brake, at under 3 mph. Just as I stopped, brake faded, engine raced, and car surged violently forward, simultaneously. I barely controlled this surge with extreme brake pressure. Event lasted approximately 5 seconds. It did not trip a trouble code, or recur. Approximately 255,000 miles on chassis. No damage, but risk of it very high. Mcgregor, texas, turning l off of us 84 eastbound onto TX 317 northbound. Driver is retired but very accomplished engineer, with 3 engineering degrees, and decades of wide-ranging experience. This had absolutely nothing to do with pushing the wrong pedal. I know exactly where my foot was.

Starting on 1/23/19 then again 3/26/19 and on 4/17/19 code p0456 keeps coming on and I have also replaced gas cap still doing it. This has to be a recall of some kind.

On January 17, 2019, our 2013 Nissan Sentra died in the middle of rush hour traffic and put my husband at risk for being hit. My husband was on baseline road in phoenix, close to I-10 freeway. Car died near driveway entrance by restaurant. Tow truck driver said it's cvt transmission. So did our repair person, interstate auto. The code at Nissan also said it's a faulty cvt transmission, which they know about. There is extended warranty to 120,000 for some vehicles, but they conveniently said our VIN is not covered. We are at 119,000, so that's convenient for Nissan. We then were referred to Nissan consumer affairs and they said there's nothing they can do. They also said they had no idea we were the owners of the vehicle. We bought it from tempe auto nation in may of 2014, but it's a 2013 preowned certified. They told us the warranty was increased to 100,000 because of that, but they never let us know. They also said there is a recall from 2016, but we never got anything. Again, Nissan said they did not know we were the owners until 1/21/19. That's a lie! we've had the car serviced. It was bought from tempe auto nation with 4400 miles on it. They have our info in computer system, but now can claim they did not know. We were the only ones that brought it in, no one else. So now the car is not drivable because of faulty cvt transmission that put my husband and I at safety risk every time he/we drove it. Especially not notifying us about passenger recall since 2016. Please let me know who we need to talk to next. Worst customer service ever! caught in several lies! I'm attaching document that they claim they've never heard of or seen before - claim they don't know anything about faulty cvt transmissions. Asked where I got my info & I showed them. Also, you may google it - all over the place.

My fuel line is not standing up to work and is leadking, same as the kia. Expensive repair to take careof this.

I purchased my car in 2016 with only 10 miles on it from me driving off with it. I've replaced the battery twice. Ive had my transmission replaced which they didn't want to replace due to low noises it made if I drove over 10 mph. They refused to fix my car for three months because the check engine light wouldn't cut on from the noises it made. Now my car cranks but doesn't start. All maintenance is up to date and my car has 55,000 even today! the battery is now and charged. All cables are tight. I have to get it towed to Nissan to have it inspected.

Transmission problems, some tomes it does not change gear. Some times in stationary the gear will not change, sometime wile in motion the car wil slow down. This happens , in the city and on the freeway.

I purchased my 2013 Nissan Sentra new from the dealership in March 2013. My transmission was completely replaced within 1. 5 years (28k miles) from purchase due to manufacturer defect. The problem is reoccurring about 3. 5 years (77k miles). Symptoms are similar to most reporting I've seen online. Acceleration delays, car sputters, metal on metal sounds. My car came to a complete at an intersection with oncoming traffic coming from both directions. Given my first transmission was found to manufacturer defect my 2nd transmission which is identically failing needs to be addressed same which it is not.

�takata recall� when I recently got this car, at first I knew something was off because it wouldn't accelerate like a normal car and it wouldn't go pass by 30mph on the freeway. I let a couple of days passed by until the last day before I told the dealer , I was an entire day turning my car on and off thinking that it will stop glitching but I was on the freeway and I was causing a lot of traffic due to it's malfunction. After that, they took it to the dealer to get another transmission or system called the cvt transmisson, they actually did change the transmisson and after that it was working well but wasn't satisfied with it, it started loosing power and there's times when it doesn't want to accelerate and I have to push my foot all the way in which is scary because there's times where it just throws me off since I have no idea when it wants to accelerate like a normal car. Overall, they changed the cvt transmisson and I felt that it got worst and now I just don't feel comfortable with this car , I don't feel safe with it but the sad part is that I'm still paying for the car.

So many issues not even sure what it is. Car will fail to shift into gear and constant redline, very dangerous when getting on the highway. Car will randomly get no gas to accelerate until I turn the car off and then on again. Transmission slips at 80k miles. Or perceived to be slipping, car will drop rpm and then rise quickly jerking the car around. Going down hill the car will quickly rise rpm over and over and the car will uncontrollably jerk very noticeably.
