Traveling westbound on I-10 between cottondale, FL and ft. Walton, FL in traffic, the left rear tire blew out without warning causing loss of vehicle control. Highway type-interstate- 4 lane divided. The vehicle was in the left lane. It went into the median, came back into the main travel lanes between traffic, rotated 360 degrees, then went off of the main travel lanes onto the right shoulder where it came to a stop. Even though this occurred in traffic, there was no impact and no injury to the occupants. One sidewall of the tire is completely separated from the tire, and the other sidewall partially separated. The air pressure on the tire was checked just prior to beginning the trip. The condition of the tire was checked prior to the trip and the tire appeared to be in excellent condition. The tread and general condition of the failed tire show no evidence of prior damage or puncture. The 2 rear tires had been replaced in 2010 or 2011. The spare was installed and the car was driven to the nearest service center where all 4 tires were replaced. There was no damage to the rim. The failed tire is available for inspection.

I have now had 2 blowouts in this car and have 20350 miles on this car and these tires say that they are 70,000+ miles and they have way less than that. The first blowout was at about 11000 miles which is totally not right and I was only going about 50 and the second blowout I was on the highway going about 70 and again didn't hit anything and another tire blew.
I had purchased my vehicle in December 2010. When I had purchased it, it seemed to have a barring problem, or a brake problem. It kept shaking, and making a thump-sound. It kept pulling, when I stepped on the brakes. About March 2011, I was driving on the highway, and all of a sudden, my car was shaking so much, that I had to pull over. It blew my entire rim and tire off. I got a tow truck and brought it to my mechanic, had to purchase a new tire and rim. About a couple months later, I noticed the pulling in the brakes again,it was getting worse, so I brought it back to my mechanic, and he checked out the whole car. He noticed that their was braking fluid leaking, and that it needs new brake pads. I had my car for 7 months, and all of a sudden I need new brake pads. He said it shouldn't of passed the safety. My dad and his lawyer looked at the safety and e tested papers, and it looks like it was forged, so it probably wasn't a proper safety. I am planning to give the car back, as it does not seem to be a proper safety.

On 12-22-07 I purchased 4 brand new goodyear 45,000 mile tires. A year and a half later, after putting approximately 25,000 miles on the tires, I began having problems. On 6-27-09, my front drivers side tire blew out. On 7-20-09, my rear drivers side tire blew out. On 7-31-09, my rear passenger side tire blew out. As I rarely drive my vehicle, all 3 of these blowouts were not only within a month's time, but happened within 1000 miles. I did not keep the first 2 damaged tires because I thought it was just a run of bad luck. However, as soon as the third tire blew out, I knew there was a problem so I saved not only the third blown tire, but also the one "good" tire that hadn't exploded yet. * your forms I cannot find my exact tires. They are goodyear gps3 sport, 1857014.

Regarding the bridgestone tires originally installed on my car - the car was purchased essentially new off of the lot in 2005 (300 miles). It has the original tires - bridgestone p195/60/r15. It now has about 2000 miles on the car. The left front tire blew out while driving and had to be replaced. The tread area had apparently separated from the sidewall - a split about an inch long. There is almost 1/2" of tread on the tire, and they appeared fine until this apparent separation of tread and sidewall, but the tire could not be repaired and I had to buy a new one.
