Failure of front control arms, according to Nissan webiste (many other vehicles were recalled for same, not mine) this could result in collision. Mechanic stated the wheel would come off with failure. Nissan dealership discovered the weld was failing and told me they had to be replaced, but that while 1800+ vehicles were shown to be affected by this issue, my VIN number was not on list. Nissan needs to expand their recall.

The contact stated that while the vehicle was being inspected at the dealer for an unrelated issue, the dealer noticed that both front lower control arms were damaged. The dealer stated to the contact that the vehicle was unsafe to drive due to the damage of the front lower control arms and the possibility of a crash occurring. The contact took the vehicle to a local mechanic to have the front lower control arms repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign I. D.
