1 Front Suspension problem

Failure Date: 03/06/2005

The consumer is experiencing a problem with the brakes. The consumer had to replace the brakes and rotors every 5,000 mi. When applying the brakes, the suspension vibrated which caused the entire front of the vehicle to shake. The owner contacted the manufacturer but received no assistance. The parking brake does not hold vehicle. Emergency brake found to be out of adjustment. Tailgate striker rod out of position and had to be replaced. Fuel door spring/clip deformed.

2 Front Suspension problem

Failure Date: 02/01/2005

Since the purchase of our 2004 Nissan Titan on 8/31/04, the front suspension has been out of alignment. Vehicle would immediately veer to the right when the steering wheel was released. After four attempts by the dealership to resolve the alignment problem, the Nissan district technical specialist (dts) removed the vehicle from an as manufactured configuration by grinding down the right caster eccertic adjustment bolts. This modification was a desperate attempt to adjust the alignment to near specifications while negating the need and cost involved to identify and repair the actual problem prohibiting the front suspension from being aligned properly while the vehicle was in the original as manufactured configuration. Subsequent to this modification, the front suspension is still not within the manufacturer's specifications and the vehicle vibrates and shakes at speeds above 50mph. The dealer has tried, without success, to eliminate the vibration with wheel and tire replacements. This short cut type fix done by the Nissan dts has affected the integrity of the front suspension, put the vehicle in an unstable driving condition and created a safety issue on the road.

3 Front Suspension problem

Multiple brake and steering shudder problems with 2004 Titan Nissan se crew cab truck, dealer makes mfg suggested repairs but shudder returns creating safety worries and fear of losing control of vehicle. Headlight switch design flawed, easily turned off when turn stalk activated or lights are dimmed from high to low beam. All the above problems occured and still are occuring within first 3500 miles!!.

4 Front Suspension problem

Failure Date: 10/15/2004

The contact stated while stopping the front end vibrated. Twice while pressing the brake pedal, nothing happened and causing the vehicle to slide off the road, and dented the vehicle. The vehicle has been to the dealership nine times for these problems. The dealership rotated the tires once, changed the brake pads, rotors, and discs, and replaced the tires. The vehicle was not vibrating as much, but the problem has not been fixed. Updated 12/7/2005.
