I was involved in a car accident where someone was hurt. I own a 2017 Nissan Titan xd with 75000 miles. I was taking a left turn at a yellow light, I slowed down and then tried to speed up. The accelerator will not respond for 3-4 seconds when I do this, it has been this way since I bought it. Looking online it is a common issue. However this time I could not move fast enough and an Audi slammed into my passenger side because I couldnt move. The kid in the Audi was injured and his car is totaled. Mine was repaired by my insurance. My airbags also failed to deploy. I have back problems and still have a really bad headache and have not seen a dr, but want to. I also noticed a smell or odor in the cabin. Looking at the forums, it is another issue with this truck and is a major health concern. I called Nissan and when I give them my VIN# they hang up on me. I finally got through after saying I might contact an attorney. They said they created a case #. I want to know if I have a case for a lawsuit and I really want a truck that wont kill me or cause bodily harm. I paid a ton of money for this vehicle and it is a complete safety and health hazard.

The Titan was traveling straight on city street and hit another vehicle making a left turn across intersection. Impact was at approximately 45 mph and both vehicles sustained heavy damage. Driver airbag did not deploy, but there was white smoke and smell of gun powder inside the truck just after collision. No visual signs of any airbags deployed. No other verification, but seems possible a charge ignited but failed to inflate a bag or other failure. Straight front impact at 45 seems like prime parameters to inflate bag. Police report: 2/21/18 plano texas report# 2018-32397 pictures included to show damage from impact.

I recently had air bag light start flashing. I took in to Nissan dealer to get checked and they said the "spiral cable" was bad, this is also known as clock spring. Nissan reset and said bring back if occurs again. It did and I took to another shop for second opinion and same result. I agreed to get part to fix the truck. After being told part was on back order no eta on delivery of parts from Nissan. After 4 weeks I checked and found out the same dealer has 6 other "spiral cables" on back order. As I stand now, according to Nissan my trucks driver side air bag will not deploy if needed, and no eta on parts.

I bought a 07 Nissan Titan in July of 07. Right away I found that the controls on the steering wheel were not working. Including the air bag. I had it fixed right away. Then it happened again in Dec 08. I once again had the problem fixed. I was in a head on collision on Jan, 23 at 8:30 pm. I was going 45 miles an hour and hit a cement and medal signal pole. The impact was in the center on the truck. My seatbelt did not lock and my air bag did not deploy. When you buy a new car the safety is part of what you are paying for and when it does not work it is very scary.
My vehicle impacted another vehicle from the rear and air bags did not deploy. The air bag light has been on. Several electrical problems; steering wheel buttons stopped working in 2008, abs light remains on, backup sensor went out 11-17 and most recently I started my vehicle one morning and speakers started popping really loud and immediately smelled of burned wires and just two days later vehicle would not start, battery was completely drained. After charging worked fine for a couple of days but just repeated the same situation. This vehicle has gave me so many electrical problems starting a year after purchase. Also noticed that one of the a frames welded joints is cracked. I am a certified welding inspector and can say that it is a manufacturer discontinuity. The catalytic converters went out years after purchase in 2006. I have had to replace the engine because of the catalytic converters. I am the one and only owner and purchased it new with only 17 miles on it. This vehicle has had so many electrical/mechanical issues that im starting to think I should apply under lemon law but I dont know how to do that.
