Takata recall - it has almost been a year since the recall and a 2nd letter has not been sent out & a repair has not been done. It is unreasonable to expect me to drive a car in which no one can sit in the passenger seat for a year or more due to a dangerous air bag!.

Takata recall. I have a family of five including two car seats making it impossible to for us not to use the passenger seat of our Nissan Versa. I called Nissan and they were willing to reimburse me for a car rental within 2-4 weeks after I paid for a rental car. Nissan refuses to pay for the extended insurance needed to cover a rental vehicle nor the deposit. If they're claiming liability how is it that we the consumer should suffer personal and financial anguish with the knowledge that we're forced to put ourselves or a family member in harm's way because of Nissan's refusal to provide a rental car without financial attachments.
Takata recall - received recall notice in the mail in early March 2017. Parts for the recall repair were expected by the end of April. It is now the beginning of July and I have not received any updates and no repairs. I am not supposed to drive with passengers in the front seat and I feel unsafe driving this vehicle. I've been waiting for parts and notification of repair for over three months. My initial letter states that if my recall is not completed in a timely manner that I should file a complaint with the NHTSA, and I am doing that now. Please help me get my vehicle repaired.

" this has been almost 7 full months, and I have not received anything regarding the new parts being available, so I am still driving with a car with a defective airbag.

All the airbags not working as indicated lights flashing! recall states passenger airbag could explode causing metal fragments resulting in injury even death. Was informed by Nissan san francisco dealer that there is no fix for the airbag problem yet and they're not responsible for my anything to do with airbags not engaged except for the recall and that there is no fix for currently for the safety recall. In addition, when buying new tire sand getting a wheel alignment, I've been informed that all 4 of my struts are bent and suspension is off as a result.
"takata recall" - I received the recall notice in the mail from Nissan in July 2016. Just recently (September 2016) we contacted our local Nissan service department to check on the status of the parts needed to perform the recall and they told us that the parts are available and scheduled an appointment for us to come in. My wife took the car in for the scheduled appointment and while she waited one of the workers came out and said they can't do the work because they got a notice from Nissan corporate saying to only fix cars that are registered in florida, USA. I called Nissan direct to complain. A case number was opened and I was told someone from corporate would contact me in a few days. That hasn't happened yet. Now I am forced to not allow anyone to ride in the passenger seat, when this is our only vehicle and we regularly need all 5 seats for the volunteer work that we do. If this part does not need replaced, then I want a written notice from Nissan saying that the car is safe to drive at full capacity, or a replacement vehicle needs to offered. This is unacceptable.

The driver side clock spring has developed a problem that affects all of the air-bags in the car. None work. This was detected only after they had worked on the problem for a very minor defect. The trouble lights come on and off at any given moment. I went over the depressions in the center of the road to pass a car and the tire problem light came on. Now none of the power windows work. I don't believe I should have all these problems with a car that is only 8 years old.
