Sometime in the last 3 or 4 months the air bag light came on and would not go off. Took car to garage Nov. 24,2020 to repair the light and was informed that the air bags needed to be replaced. The garage informed me that there was a recall for airbags by Nissan covering the time frame my car was built . Nissan rejected the recall repair because the air bags installed in my car were not tikata brand air bags. It would seem reasonable that all air bags used in Nissan Versa vehicles during the recall period should be included in the recall and replaced whatever the brand and not limited to only the takata brand.

Airbag light light came on. Toke it to get checked the first time was told old codes came up but everything look good that if the light came back on I would have to take to a Nissan dealership. One hour later light came on again. Took to a Nissan dealership and was told it showed old codes and wires were crinkled. They fixed them and everything was fine for two weeks. Light came back on. Toke it back to them. They checked it again same old codes came up again and was told it was suggested by Nissan that I needed airbag module but they didn't know if that would actually fix the problem but that was the first thing they had to do and it would cost a little over 1300 dollars. I don't feel I should fork out that kind of money for them to guess. Also know there is a recall on the airbags but was told not my car.

The driver side airbag light continually flashes when car is turned on and while driving. Does not turn of with key reset.
The air bag light light started blinking. I took it to the dealer and after charging me $119. 84 I was told that it could be repaired for a cost of $1136. 00. I was told that the airbags may or may not go off if I were to have an accident. Sounds like a defect to me. I've owned a lot of cars and I've never had an airbag get worn out and break.

Tl the contact owns a 2008 Nissan Versa. The contact took the vehicle to russ darrow Nissan of milwaukee (11212 w metro auto mall, milwaukee, WI 53224, (414) 586-3050) to have it repaired per an unknown recall. After the repair, an unknown service indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the brakes and possibly the air bags failed. The dealer kept the vehicle for a month and provided a loaner vehicle. The vehicle was repaired again, but had trouble accelerating over 30 mph while traveling on the highway. The speedometer gauge increased to over 80 mph. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer two other times, but no failures were found with the vehicle. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 80,401.
The problem I have encountered is a flashing airbag light with a vehicle having less than 31000 miles and just out of factory warranty as of March 2018. Also, the passenger seat airbag light stays on even when occupied by an adult. I contacted the dealer and I was informed there were no recalls for my vehicle. I conducted a search and found numerous other Nissan vehicles had the same issues (occupant system) but mine is not listed. My vehicle has not been involved in any event which would have caused this since I have owned the vehicle. The listed date and milage is approximate of when I noticed the issue.
Tl takata recall. The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that benson Nissan (4676 calhoun memorial hwy, easley, SC 29640, (864) 850-6440) serviced the vehicle per an unspecified manufacturer air bag recall campaign. After the recall repair, the horn failed to function and the cruise control and air bag warning indicators remained illuminated. The dealer indicated that further diagnostic testing was required for additional repairs. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact felt that the recall remedy caused the failures since there were none prior to the repair. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was not available.
Airbag light is lit and blinking will not go out. Tires have made the car shake since day one.
Tl takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator remained illuminated. I received a recall notice in the fall of 2017 for the driver side airbag. When the replacement airbags were available in the spring of 2018 & called my local dealership where I purchased the car and made an appointment to have the work done. I was told when I arrived that because the airbag light was flashing they needed to do a diagnostic test that would cost $100+ to determine if it was safe to replace the airbag. They stated that the wiring harness/spiral cable may be the problem & that it would cost $1000+ to replace everything & that this was not covered under the recall. The vehicle has less than 94000 miles. I really like the car, but I also want to make sure it is safe to drive. Do I have any rights here? I called Nissanone & they gave me a case # 31081454, they contacted the dealer & they were told that my check engine light needed to be addressed first. I have owned this car for 10 years, brought it new, the check engine light has never came on. Maybe the dealer used "check engine" light as a blanket term for any light that lights up on the dash board. I don't know. The Nissan representative just keep saying that for safety reasons I needed to have it changes as soon as possible or maybe take it to another dealer. I would have to drive about 40 miles to another Nissan dealer, which is ok, but why should I have too do that? any assistants or advice you can give me is greatly appreciated.

Takata recall. We were unable to get the recall fixed until March 16th as parts weren't available. We took it in on fri the 16th and got both airbags replaced under the recall. As we were leaving the shop, the airbag light came on and was flashing. We thought it was just resetting after the service. We called the shop and they had us bring it in today the 21st to get it fixed. They now claim that it had nothing to do with them and that we owe money to get it fixed. That light did not come on until they messed with the airbags for the recall. We strongly feel that something they did when servicing the car made the light come on. They said since it wasn't their cause, we would have to pay to fix it. I refuse to pay for something they caused.
Tl the contact owns a 2017 Nissan Versa. While driving approximately 70 mph, the front driver's side tire blew out and caused the front driver and front passenger air bags to deploy. There were no warning indicators illuminated. There were no injuries. The contact called marshall Nissan at 866-413-5799 (3550 s 9th st salina, KS 67401) and was referred to the insurance company. The manufacturer was not notified. The failure mileage was approximately 4,500.
Tl- takata recall. The contact owns a 2012 Nissan Versa. The contact was not experiencing a failure until the vehicle received a recall repair for an air bag recall concerning NHTSA campaign number: 17v449000 (air bags) by bedford Nissan, 18115 rockside rd, bedford, OH 44146, (440) 336-8611. The dealer was informed verbatim that the remedy failed to provide a permanent fix, indicated that the vehicle would need to be diagnosed to determine if a sensor was faulty which was unacceptable to the contact who felt that the manufacturer solution for the recall remedy failed. A loaner vehicle was provided when the air bag recall was serviced however the dealer had the contact return the vehicle knowing that the air bag light had illuminated shortly after the repair with no solution. The contact later received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18v401000 (air bags) and was waiting to determine the manufacturer guidelines to repair the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was not available. Dyd.

I had my car serviced at david mcdavid Nissan. I had it serviced in August 2017 for the airbags. Then in December my airbag lights came on. Both the driver and passenger lights are on. I took it back to the same dealership and they said there was another recall for the airbags. After a month of the dealership having my car the airbag lights are still on. They told me that the airbag lights being on had nothing to do with the recall.
I got a recall notice from you and I have attempted to call several Nissan dealerships and they state that they do not have the parts until sping and they do not have any loner cars to give out and do not know when they will have more loaner cars. Now my airbag light just went on and will not turn off. It seems to be a problem with the airbags. Its really dangerous yet, these dealerships do not take this serious.
I took my car to lithia Nissan of fresno, for a recall on the air bags , since performing air bag recall, air bag light came on , now im stuck with the airbag light on, they don t want to fix it, I,m worried that I can have a safety issue later on in case of an accident.
Takata recall - my airbag light has been on for a year. I took it to planet Nissan in las vegas, nv 12/13/16 to have it checked out. I was told that it would cost $1000 to repair. I declined as it was too expensive and was told that it didn't need to be replaced. A few months later I was told about a recall and was informed that the part would be in in July 2017. It is now December 2017 and I have been told that the part will not be in until July 2018. Nothing has happened but I do not feel safe driving the car and would like the part to be replaced as soon as possible.
