In may 2020, purchased 2013 Versa used for daughter. On 1/1/2021, the gas pedal would not accelerate and at same time the rpm needle jerked up & down. Took car to mechanic and he said it seems to be related to transmission. This is terrifying because the car is jerking & not accelerating while she was driving(in motion). I did observe that another complaint was made 10/25/2018 by car VIN# similar to our car-that complaint was VIN 3n1cn7ap8dl. . . . Please help.

I bought a used 2019 Nissan Versa with 34, 213 miles from enterprise car sales on 07/08/2020 and at 45,000 miles on 12/20/2020 on my way back from myrtle beach car does not want to accelerate and or change gears when pressing down on the gas pedal. Out of town mechanic looked at the car and advised it has issues with cvt. Car has a loud noise when shifting from park into drive and or reverse and at times does not want to move. Car only moved after turning it on and off. Car struggles to take off at lights and has weird loud noise coming from the transmission, car also jerks really bad when taking off at a red too green light. Also the battery is 1 year old and is defective and gas reading gauge reads wrong when car is filled up with gas. Traction control light comes on and off for no reason in dry roads. When entering a highway car struggles to gain speed and jerks when shifting gears. Dealer notified since car has 45,168 miles and is still under the Nissan 46,213 warranty. Car is park and at times does not want to move. Waiting on a dealer appt.

Dodge ram. Early 2000s grey with a lot of paint peeling and a gate type accessory across the back window of the truck. Lifted. There is a lot of hesitation when I press the gas pedal, often shaking and shuddering. It's very slow to accelerate, and getting to highway speeds usually takes quite a while. Anything over 65mph causes the car to push into about 3500 rpm. While idling at a red light, it shakes and shudders.

After receiving many calls and letters for air bags recalls, I set an appointment with the agent josh for Thursday July 16, 2020 at performance Nissan at 1345 south federal highway, pompano FL 33062, at 7:30 am. When talking with josh, he told me that there are two recalls in my Nissan. I asked him to do both recalls at the same time. He said both recalls could take one hour. We set the appointment and he gave me the phone to talk to performance Nissan for confirmation. On Thursday July 16, 2020, I went to the appointment. It took me ,more than three hours at the place. However, at the end they told me they did one recall, and they ordered the parts for the other recall, which part they will have in three days. When they gave the car, I felt that it did not sound as it used to before the recall. The ac did not work perfectly, but I thought that was because they did not finish with the air bag recall. On Friday July 17, 2020, my wife drove the car to work as it is her car. But when she came back, she told me that the car had problems and she did not want to drive it again. I said to her that the problem is because they did not complete the recall. On Wednesday July 22, 2020, my wife told me to drop her at work. I took the car, and when I started it I felt the car was making noise and shaking. For I did not drive it , and I saw at that time that my wife was in danger while driving the car. After I dropped her at work, I called perfprmance Nissance to report that they damaged my car while performing the air bags recall. They called me to drive the car to them for diagnostic. I told them that they must send someone to tow the car. They instead gave me a phone number to call for pick up the car. They picked up the car by 3;00 pm. Sometimes stepping on the gas pedal does absolutely nothing. This has happened several times since owning the car. You can press the gas pedal all the way to the floor and it won't do anything at all. I took it in to have the Nissan dealership to look at it and they totally blow me off denied that anything was going on there was nothing wrong with the motor they said. You have to just let off the gas pedal and wait a few seconds and then it'll finally move the car when you press the gas pedal. This could cause a serious accident because when you press the gas pedal to go somewhere and it doesn't go anywhere I could leave you stranded sitting in the middle of the roadnot sure if it's this is related to the whatever's causing that problem but when the car is in drive and you're sitting at a red light the car vibrates really bad sometimes you can step on the brake let off of it and step back on it and rpms will go up but sometimes the rpms will drop down to below 600 that's when the engine starts vibrating real bad. I've tried to get the Nissan dealership to address the issue several times they ended up tell them it was an aftermarket motor mount it was not a Nissan part so I changed it for a genuine Nissan part they charge me over $600 and it did not fix the car it's still vibrated. When the car is in park just sitting in a parking lot somewhere the car runs perfect the rpms are fine and there's no vibration whatsoever but as soon as you put it into drive it starts vibrating. It has also almost went dead several times to over the last year I just started knocking , sputtering real bad and it almost goes dead and shuts the motor off. This has happened at red lights for pulling out of parking lots on city streets. It's almost gone dead just sitting at the red light when the car starts sputtering.

Car cuts off while driving without warning lights or engine lights. In the middle of traffic. Car was in motion but in slow traffic. Also, brakes almost stopped working.

I was completely stopped about to pull out of a parking lot and as I turned onto a side road and got up to about 5-10 mph my car jerked twice and completely stopped and stalled and it wouldn't rev up or do anything. The lights and everything was on but the car wouldn't move. I had to completely turn the car off in the middle of the road and back on before it would go again.

The Nissan Versa 2017 is unsafe to be driving in the road because it turns off while it's driving in the middle of the street. I fixed my car 2 times and it keeps on having the same problems and Nissan doesn't want to do anything about it. I took the car to the dealership and they made me buy parts that the car didn't even need and the car broke down 20 miles later after it being �fixed�. Now I took it back and I have to pay again for it to be fixed and idk if it will happen again and I feel unsafe in this car.

At 5:30, 1 Dec 2018, driving 45 mph nothing unusual when my car just stopped moving! I had my foot flat to the ground on the gas and it was no where! I had to through my hazards on because I was on a county road and nearly got hit! I pulled over into a neighborhood and drove some more to see if it was a freak thing but it happened about 8 more times (really quickly like the engine died for 10 seconds, came back, died again; I was just jolting forward when it came back on!) it was totally and completely unsafe to drive so I had to have it towed to my Nissan dealership! it sounds exactly like what happened to the guy in charlottesville, where I am close and I would bet money it's the exact same issue they found in his car but Nissan needs to do something! I was just there 3 weeks ago for my inspection!.

Takata recall Nissan Versa 2012 come with alot of electrical issues door locks wont open causing the doors not to open if this occurs when you have kids inside car can even cause death if you dont have anyone to provide immediate attention when it do this the car would turn on starts to shake and turns off and it can last doing this for an hour and also doors have a black door sealing band that comes off since I bought my car of it occurs with children it can stangle them ver y dangerous the electric issue can cause a car accodent of ot turn off highway or street it would do it when driving as well it may come from the fuse box under the front hood that its so hard and dangerouse to check.

I warmed the car up for a few minutes because of the stalling problem. I was driving on the street for two miles when I came to a stop sign. I put on the brakes and the car shut down. The car was still in drive. There was no check engine light or warning prior to, during, or after the time the car shut down. I had to turn the ignition to the off position. Then put the car in park. Then crank the car back up to drive out the way of the cars behind me. I drove the car to the nearest Nissan dealership. They check the car. There were no codes in the computer. The dealership is going to keep the car overnight and test drive it in the morning when it is cold. I am very disappointed. I just purchased the car two months ago with 5000 miles. Today it only has 8000 miles on it and it is stalling and shutting off when I drive it. Complaint results: today, 11/30/2018 I called the Nissan dealership to get a status on my car. They said the transmission unit failed. They are ordering me a new transmission. Nhtsa please make this problem known to the public so other Nissan owners don't have to go through the problems I am going through. Thank you.

On both city streets and highways. Accelerator will stick and or clutch is not properly engaging as specific vehicle has a manual transmission. Causing the vehicles rpm to go up higher then recommended.

When I first purchased my vehicle (new) in 2012 for the 2013 Nissan Versa, I noticed that when taking off at a red light, the engine/trans sounded like it was a hesitating to go. I mentioned this to the service guy when I went in for my first oil change, he said that it's because it a cvt transmission. About 1 year ago or so, the car would jerk when taking off at 20mph and the rpm needle would go up and down as I accelerate to go faster, I've taken this car for oil changes and kept up with the recommended services. I've had the trans oil changed and it still does this especially going on the expressway. The car hesitates to go, and now I read that there are multiple people having the same issues just like I do. This morning when getting on the expressway to go to work, I was accelerating and it hesitated (like always), then as I gave it gas, it jerked (rmp needle jumped to 4 then back down to 2) and sped up and I almost hit the vehicle in front of me. I'm so nervous right now. Please help. This is dangerous! I'm a single mom of 3 and very precious cargo with me. I don't want to have an accident because of this really bad system, and then something to be done about it. There has to be some kind of recall on these transmissions before someone gets killed.

Nissan north America is recalling 14,595 vehicles, including the 2014 Nissan Versa sedan, because the engine may shut off unexpectedly while the vehicle is being driven, according to the national highway traffic safety administration. This has happened to me like 10 times. . . I was driving in city traffic and it wouldn't stay running. It kept turning off. I was afraid I had to much going on wil thepower like a power drain so I turned off my radio and lights and made it home.

My 2014 Nissan Versa has a cvt transmission that failed at 54,000 miles. It was replaced with a re-manufactured cvt transmission under warranty. At 122,500, the transmission has failed again. In addition to "shuddering", the car at times will fail to accelerate, causing a potential hazardous situation to myself, passengers and other drivers on the road. On several occasions, the car has failed to accelerate, and I have almost been "t-boned" at busy intersections. I brought my car into the Nissan dealer and they confirmed that my transmission was failing, causing the lack of acceleration. I have phoned, emailed, and written to Nissan north America (certified mail) warning them about this problem and their response was that my car is out of warranty now and there's nothing they will do about it. I spoke directly with markita scott, arbitration specialist (615-725-7884). I mentioned to her the problems I was having and that the car's failing transmission posed a safety hazard. Her reply was the "the car was out of warranty and they could not do anything about it. " she repeated that numerous times and seemed not to care about the safety aspect of driving this car. For a 2012 Nissan Versa sedan automatic. The cvt transmission started out 6 months ago sometimes not shifting up to higher gears when I was driving. Very shortly after the transmission just wouldn't engage at all. I took it to the dealership and they told me I need a new transmission without even a diagnostics test and immediately tried to sell me a new car. After that I went to certified transmission and paid for them to test it and they also said I need a new transmission and that there has been several complaints about the cvt. I then went somewhere else and bought a different car and have only driven the Nissan Versa a handful of times since until I could get a new transmission. Now the transmission never shifts up while driving and today I was driving it to get a new transmission and it won't accelerate or engage the transmission at all, it has to be towed. The transmission will be replaced with a brand new one.

While driving during the day (it was over 95 degrees), all of sudden all the warning lights came on, the brake pedal locked up, the gas pedal didn't work, and the power steering wasn't working. I was able to pull it over. I turned it off and on twice, and everything was working fine. I'm taking it to the dealer to be checked out (the next day).

Takata recall hello, I have a Nissan Versa 2015 model and have 55000 miles on its meter. I am having alot of problem with my car. I can feel all the gears changing while drive wether its on city or highway ( kind of feel like a sudden jerk in body) . My engine oil is going bad at 3-4000 miles ( putting sythetic oil with gurantee 10-15000 mile) . And if engine oil goes bad my car's pickup go less. It cant run over 15-20 mph. Happened with me twice, once in February 2018 when I had to tow my car and again happend on 25th April 2018 and I had to drive with emergency parking lights on to service center. My cars oil replacement sticker still shows 2000 miles more to run. And some mechanic said oil is all bad. After that I put an obd device in my car. And got some problem codes. Attaching image. Right now my car is in Nissan service center. And they didnt told me anything from last 3 days, that whats going on.

When taking off the transmission belt slips all the time so I try to ease into the gas as gently as possible. When a/c is running the car has almost zero acceleration and has a stuttering or stumbling issue that causes issues until I hit 3000 3500 rpm then seems to gain power. I have issues on the highway with the transmission seeming to slip out of engagement of the belt when speeding up to pass. When slowing down for a light, if the light turns before I come to a complete stop and I go to reapply pressure to the gas pedal, if I dont gently apply the gas the transmission belt will slip and cause the car to shutter. Im not sure what is causing this issue, but I have had since I purchased the car around 40000 miles, a cricket chirping noise that in the beginning was always at 2000rpm and no wheres else in the rpm range. Now it has gotten worse to where I seem to hear the chirping noise anywhere around 1500 rpm to 2250rpm range. As well I have had the radiator fan quit working causing the motor to over heat pretty bad but the head gasket didnt fail luckily. I have also had the entire time I have owned the car, an issue with the a/c when it starts up the clutch basically cluncks on or makes an awful noise kicking on and while the a/c would run before the fan failed, the air would start smelling very very bad. It smelled like chemicals of some sort and it would make me very natious to the point I would have to turn the a/c off and living in the desert in tucson, arizona this does not make for a very good comfortable ride at all.

The vehicle was shifted into drive and the abs light came on and the brakes failed to stop the vehicle. The vehicle had to be steered into a curb to stop it before it entered oncoming traffic. This vehicle also hesitates upon turning which is a hazard while driving.

The contact owns a 2015 Nissan Versa. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle shut off without warning. The vehicle was able to be restarted. The contact smelled a fuel odor and heard a loud knocking noise when the vehicle was placed in drive. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (autonation Nissan in las vegas, nevada). The contact was informed that the manufacturer advised vehicle owners to switch to a higher grade of fuel when such failure was experienced. Another technician at the same dealer was unable to duplicate the failure, but reprogrammed the computer system. The contact stated that while driving home, the vehicle felt like it was in neutral. The vehicle was turned off and restarted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that nothing could be done to assist if the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 21,330.

In June, 2017, my 2014 Nissan Versa jerked and the engine died with no warning while the car was in drive. I had been idling in park with the air conditioning on for approximately 5 minutes prior to this occurring. The temperature outside was between 112-115 degrees in las vegas, nv. Prior to this incident, I had no problems with my Versa. It had approximately 15,000 miles on the odometer at this time.

When I pressed down on gas, it kept getting faster and faster and faster and running away with itself, I coiuld not get the gas /accelearator to slow down. I had to have my foot on brake constantly to prevernt car from running away with me in it. The car was in motion when it happened. 04/.

Exhaust flange rusted out the muffler flange rotted out. Looked under the car, the entire exhaust system is rotting out. Versas have weak exhaust that do not withstand harsh conditions such as winters.

I have had a recurring problem with the car when filling it with gasoline. The gas nozzle has been ejected from the car during filling. Typically the gasoline pump will stop dispensing gasoline when the nozzle is ejected. However, there was one incident when the nozzle continued dispensing gasoline while the nozzle was laying on the ground. I had to quickly pick up the nozzle and turn it off. This problem does not occur every time I fill the car with gasoline, but I feel that there is a recurring issues here and it should be resolved because of the risk and hazards associated with spilled gasoline.

My car's check engine light and the airbag indicator lights came up. The dealer diagnosed the problem and it was a faulty fuel level sending unit for the check engine light and for the airbag light was due to a bad airbag control unit and clock spring. The car was never in an accident and had around 80k miles on it when this happened.

Nissan Versa, always had issues with gas gauge fluctuating. Igauge read 79 miles in driveway, I pulled out of driveway into main road and went about 25 feet, has gauge started flashing. Told grandson I had to go to gas station before taking him to school. We drove about 1/4 mile and heard pop under hood, car jerked really hard to right. I had no control and hit mail box, car kept moving forward along ditch. Finally come to stop with windshield busted and front bumper and undercarriage badley damaged. Air bags didn't deploy, police were called and car was towed.

Vehicle will smell so strong that the passengers may be light headed or sick. Vehicle experiences issues always in high heat situations. Danger to anyone in it.
