Rod, piston breaks and punctures tire after losing ability to steer, accelerate, brake. Manufacturer defect/recall on stated parts not revealed until after car crashed. No test drive given. Car began experiencing horrible loud banging noise immediately after leaving dealership. Was not offered to test drive. Took to dealer next day to check problem (noise) and was told nothing is wrong after taking to dealer. On way home, experienced erratic steering, unable to keep stable on highway. Rounded corner and the automobile completely failed to steer, brake, tire punctured by rod come to find out, a known defect straight from manufacturer was problem. No apology. Dealer will not take back new vehicle despite customer fears, claims to have fixed problem but not the body of vehicle stating customer had to go elsewhere to fix body with no offer of reimbursement for body work. No apologies for customer nearly escaping what could have easily been death as result of manufacturer defect. Purchased vehicle first without knowing of recall on part(s), was not informed of defect and if test drive was given, car would not have been taken by customer.

Both front coil springs suddenly without warning broke while driving collapsing the front end of the vehicle creating difficulty in steering and handling. Although this year/model are the subject of a front coil spring recall this VIN does not qualify.

On 7-25-23, my wife and I were riding in our 2011 Nissan Versa locally and noticed a banging noise coming from the front end of the car, especially when hitting bumps or uneven payment. When we parked the car at home, I noticed a small piece of metal shaped like a coil spring on the road where we usually park. I phoned our mechanic at ryan automotive goodyear in moon twp and asked him if he had time today to see where the banging noise was coming from. We arrived at ryan automotive around 3pm. Our mechanic terry said that the front coil spring has broken and the top engine mount needs to be replaced as well. There was a recall on the front coil springs back in 2015 that I had done at west hills Nissan in moon twp, which was sold to #1 cochran Nissan. Cochran Nissan has no record of my car being serviced at west hills Nissan along with the recall work. I am wondering if west hills Nissan ever replaced the coil springs or did they use the recalled coil springs for the replacement. I am trying to find out if the front coil spring recall can still be honored at a local Nissan dealer. When I searched for official Nissan recall centers near me, #1 cochran Nissan does not come up. As you know, a broken coil spring can easily fall below the strut and slice the sidewall on your tire in the blink of an eye, especially on the highway. This is a dangerous situation, so I would like to get the recall on the front coil springs done at a local Nissan dealer, otherwise I will consider trading the car in toward a newer car. Sincerely, gary santel 724-799-6439 mobile and santelgm@gmail. Com. 721 montour street, coraopolis, PA 15108.
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Versa. The contact stated while driving 35 mph and going over a pothole, the vehicle began to drift to the left. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact continued to experience the failure. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that the coil springs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 164,000.
There is a safety recall campaign for the front coil springs breaking for all Nissan Versas registered in "salt states" the car is registered in a "salt state" and the the front coil has snapped. For a reason that neither corporate Nissan nor the local Nissan service center can explain, this car is excluded from repair.

The undercarriage of my car seems to be falling into pieces. The car has only 57,000 miles on it. It has sat in my driveway for 7 years because I had another Nissan, my sentra, which I had for l5 years and it never had undercarriage issues. And I never had all these issues with my sentra that I am having with this Versa now that I am free to drive it since I got rid of my sentra after l5 years. The dealer says power control arms pressure forceing grees to be released. And heat shield, repair heat shield ripped off bolts and causing rattling under vehicle. I just paid a $600 bill to that same dealer for that same areas of work not that long ago. Why is my Nissan falling apart. I had a sentra I had for l5 years and never had trouble with the undercarriage like this. I cant afford these big repair bills. The milage is very low for all these things to go wrong when I never had them go wrong on the sentra for l5 years. Did ghosn steal money from Versa?.

My car is 7 years old but has only 57,000 miles on it. I had an older car so used that most of the time and saved this car. I have had endless problems with this car with its electrical system, the headlights go out all of the time and now the undercarriage is costing me alot of repair costs. Dont know if I am being ripped off because I am a female senior citizen or the car is really fallingj apart at 57,000 miles. I paid well over $600 for repairs on exhaust system. Now they tell me I owe almost $2,000 for repairs on something called abushing and a control arm and if I dont fix it the car will fall apart into two pieces. I have no way to get under the car for this kind of thing. I can so easily be ripped off. I need help. Does the govt ever give any help to people. I need help b adly becuase I am so vulnerable tocrooked dealerships wanting to make money in this bad economy. Pllease help me. Https://mail. Google. I do not live in the salt snow states my coils snapped my wheel almost flew off and the dealer is very difficult.
I found a piece of a broken coil spring in my driveway (where multiple cars are parked) in NJ. A quick visual inspection of all the vehicles typically parked near that area did not show any sitting uneven or any obvious evidence of any with problems. A few weeks later, after driving approx 1000 miles on my Nissan, I noticed that the front suspension seemed shorter and quicker to bottom-out. This was obvious when rolling over speed humps. Another, more in-depth inspection of the front springs revealed an unseated spring on the left front. The spring appears to have slipped off or through the bottom cup and is not centered on the strut. After looking the vehicle up on NHTSA site this appears to be related to manufacturer recall numberpm565. The NJ vehicle is currently in nc. I plan to take it to a Nissan dealer to have the recall work performed.

The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Versa. The contact stated while starting the vehicle there was a loud noise when turning the steering wheel. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed the failure with the coil springs. The contact did not have the vehicle repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA campaign number 15v573000 (suspension). The approximate failure mileage was 200,000.
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Versa. The contact stated while driving 40 mph, the accelerator pedal was depressed however, the vehicle hesitated. The contact felt the hesitation coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle as the low tire pressure warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact pulled over and saw that the front passenger’s side tire was completely flat and torn all the way around. The contact called roadside assistance and a spare tire was placed on the vehicle. The contact then drove to a dealer and was informed that the front passenger’s side coil spring fractured, which caused the puncture and damage to the tire. The dealer replaced the front driver’s and passenger’s side coil springs along with the tire. After the repair, the contact discovered NHTSA campaign number: 15v573000 (suspension) which he linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the recall and informed him that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 188,000.
My spring broke while pulling into a tire shop and went flying across a parking lot, leaving part of the broken spring stuck in the cradle.
Already having transmission problems. Car jerks and slows me dow and the steering has gotten almost unmanageable in less than 200 miles. The wheels already need alignment and I've hit no curbs. This car is another disaster from Nissan. The cvt was a terrible thing that has happened to vehicles.
Cracked coil spring was replaced in 2016 per recall. While driving on 10/12/2020, suspension issues occurred again making the car undriveable and barely avoiding serious accident and injury. There was a loud crack from under the car and the vehicle became unstable. I got to a safe spot to pull over and had it towed.
Versa transmission started to malfunctioning at around 84,000 miles and not code on dashboard. Called Nissan for warranty but they said not in warranty miles anymore. I think Nissan should warm buyer and drivers about transmission problem with dashboard indications.
Tl -the contact's rented a Nissan Versa the contact stated while her son was driving 40-46 mph the vehicle jerked, shook and swerved. And the driver crashed into a cone. If you have the ac full blast and are idling at a red light the car will stall out as if it weren't getting fuel because it won't start right back up. In order for me to start it I had to press and depress the acceleration pedal while attempting to turn it over. If turning over exceeds the batteries voltage it will kill the battery resulting in worse problems. If you're lucky it will turn over after a long time turning it over while pushing gas pedal but if you don't unplug and plug in the fuel pump it might not work. If you idle for long periods of time you'll stall out for sure once the car starts sputtering hitting the gas pedal will only increase the speed of the stall because letting go seems to drain the systems fuel and it seems you'll have to get the fuel running thru system again. This car also has a lot more wrong with for starters the trunk is not sealed by welding it honestly looks like brown paint which doesn't completely cover the cracks between the frame and trunk bottom and sometimes I get light headed when idling before it started to stall out. This particular vehicle was made in mexico and seems to be cheaply made because the trim doesn't even display the Versa s just Versa aside from that immediately after purchasing it the passenger door lock no longer works neither does the trunk. You can hear the wind thru the doors while driving and the floor seems poorly insulated from heat. The blower motor isn't blowing the ac out as hard as it was. When accelerating pops are heard coming from the bottom of the car which I don't know the source but I do know it can't be good. This vehicle is my mother's but I drive it a lot and this is only my half of the experience. I honestly think she got scammed because this 2017 car doesn't have electric seats, door locks or windows and doesnt even have a key fob or alarm.
When driving on highway at about 60 mph car feels very out of control like if its on roller skates, feels like car is going to sway this way or that way. Very unsafe feeling. Very scary.

The pieces on the door handle of 2007, seem to pop out over time. Drive side key entry and the passenger side door. I know of three Nissan Versa's have caught fire and all from the cavalier converter. . . The heater core has some issues. This car had an airbag recall and I don't believe my airbags were replaced. I was told that both side's airbags were done. The dealership told me it would take three weeks to a month to repair. When I told them that I would have to be compensated for my car downtime because I do uber. It was done in two days. The clock spring went out in my car. I do not have a lot of pictures, but I can go in my file and fine them. Thanks for any help on these issues. The airbags were done at the end of 2017 and I didn't know I could do what I'm doing today. I was told I would have to paid to get my airbags checked out. Over the past two years, I've had so many issues with my car. I've spent over 2. 000. 00 or more. I've learned so much about my car from google and youtube. Thank you for any help in this matter.

The coil springs that Nissan installed in my car due to the 2015 recall have, now, both broken again. This is a major safety issue. Nissan consumer affairs refuses to help me with the cost of replacing these faulty parts because they are out of warranty! I have been dealing with this issue since 2012 when the first coil spring broke, punctured my tire, and almost caused a serious accident. The car was in motion when the most recent break happened, I was turning out of my alley way onto the road.
The engine light doesn't turn off and the computer says electronical reason . The speed is low.
While driving in the freeway and on the street several occasions, my car was feeling as if it was going to die on me with low power. I felt really unsafe. One day, I was driving, the car was too weak, I decided to drive it directly to Nissan dealership in cerritos because I knew that was it, I was going to definetly be stranded. I was there for about 5 hours and finally I was told that the coil needed replacement. Less than a year, I was told the coil needed to be replaced again. I recently saw on kelly blue book website that the coil is a recall. I notified the dealer and I am told that it is not a recall.
The check engine light comes on and the codes come up saying it's the speed sensor the abs light comes on the car user brake fluid too much the shock on passages side is totally out it was driving.
Coil springs corrosion and binding.
12/5/2018 I replaced the transmission on the Nissan Versa 2015 at 37,000 miles. 2 months at 42,000 miles later car making noise not knowing what it is, after many car checks with auto mechanics. On September 2019 at 93,000 miles I received a post card about a class action lawsuit filed by Nissan owners against 2013-2017 Nissan Versa and sentra cars ''cvt' transmissions not properly working to not working at all. I finally had the car checked and the Nissan only mechanic said my 2015 Nissan Versa is not safe to drive due to the transmission not working properly and it needs to be replaced for a third time at mossy Nissan houston, TX. Its extremely not fair. Nissan manufacture fail to provide 100% of repair cost and refuse to take full responsibility of the pain and suffering their terrible car transmission cause me. Many people and transmission repair shops knows Nissan transmissions are not good. You can replace a Nissan transmission today and the same year or next year you have to replace the transmission again. Its extremely not fair what Nissan manufacturer & dealership did. Ii replaced the first transmission at 37,000 miles in year 2 of owning my car , at 42,000 or 50,000 miles the transmission starts going bad. And year 3 at 93,000 I have to replaced again. That is a major highway safety hazard. The reason I did not have a major accident with this car I strongly believe, is because I prayed everyday when I start driving for jehovah god to protect me, not to have an accident, and not to kill anyone with this car. So every 30,000 miles or every year you have to replace the transmission on a Nissan Versa depending how much you drive for the year. . I had to deal with extreme stress been in the hospital 3 times. Please make money greedy Nissan pay for their deliberate fraud act. I don't drive the car because its unsafe to drive with a very bad transmission.
Motor mount bushing cracked, deteriorated. Brought to my attention during last maintenance done. Advised to replace to avoid future damage to drive train.
With the seat belt on passenger side light pops on stating not connect, my transmission is slipping it also jumped in drive while sitting in park, an there were a recall on the springs were not fixed. This vehicle is the only one that I have.
The right strut spring broke and pierced the sidewall of the tire. The car was parked in my driveway. Sure glad I wasnt driving the car down the road and had an accident it could have been bad.
