The abs light and the traction control light continuously illuminate but go on and off during car rides. The car is also making a strange rattling noise under the hood because the idler pulley system is failing. This nose persists while the car is stationary, in motion, and turning on any road condition. The car also is having a jerking motion when trying to accelerate and is slow to pick up speed. The car is hesitating when picking up speed.

Starting hearing a rattling. After further looking it was discovered that on the front driver's side of the vehicle near the tire wheel and under the hood all but two of the rivets are gone. The plastic piece over the wheel well is also scrubbing the tire.
Front struts making clunking noise, have found a crack in the spring of the drivers side of he car. Seems there is a active complaints and a fix for this but has only included for certain states due to road salt. Kansas is a midwestern state that also uses road salt and brine for roadways.
"takata recall" my dealership said that there's a restriction so that they can't fix it and they can't even get the parts in for my coil springs and my car is completely immobile right now.
Takata recall I received a notification in the mail, called the number, but was told it will be until "spring" until I can have my car's driver and passenger airbags fixed. Until then, instructed to drive my car.
Takata recall. We have a Nissan Versa 2008 and we received 2 letters about the takata recall. We just moved to new jersey about 3 months ago. My boyfriend daniil went to the Nissan dealership in edison and they refused him a rental car because he is not 21 years old. We are 20. I thought that's not possible, it's a big safety issue, they can't just refuse it because we're not 21. What does age have to do with our safety? the following morning, me and my boyfriend drove to the route 33 Nissan in hamilton, NJ. A lady named mckayla did the paperwork for us, everything was set and then she said "OH wait you're not 21 yet, I can't loan you a car. " she said to call the service assist line to further assist us. So we called the line, and turns out the guy that we were supposed to talk to doesn't work on the weekends. So if the airbags would've went off during the weekend and we died, then what? I called mckayla on Monday and she told us if we could find a company that would rent us the car, Nissan would pay for it. So I called hertz in new york since their legal age to rent a car is 18, and they agreed to rent us a car but Nissan refused to pay for it since it was out of state. If Nissan screwed up with these recalls, they need to take responsibility for their actions and pay the necessary for the inconvenience. We went back to the route 33 Nissan dealership and went to the supervisor's office to speak to him. He said there's nothing he can do for us because we're not 21. Last time I checked, you didn't have to be 21 to own a Nissan. Last time I checked, there was nowhere in the paperwork when buying a Nissan that states: "in the case of a recall, if you're not 21 and over you will be leased a loaner car till we fix your car" so then why is this such an issue? I'm so scared that on our way to work or on our way home the air bags will go off and we will die.

I was never notified of a recall on my vehicle (no. 15v-573) that was issued 09/10/15. It appears that it is still incomplete. How are they allowed to get away with not providing a remedy in a timely manner. And now another recall (no. 17v-449) says they don't even have a part to repair the defect (takata air bag inflator rupture). The first recall says the defect could result in damages that could result in a crash and the air bag deploying could result in death. What options are available when you can't trade in the car? also, I'm not allowed to take part in the class action because I haven't taken my vehicle to the dealership for repair yet (because I can't). Now I'm very anxious every time I get behind the wheel of my car.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2009 Nissan Versa. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 17v449000 (air bags), 17v028000 (air bags), and 15v573000 (suspension). The parts for the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the air bag warning indicator was illuminated. The contact was unsure of any failure with the vehicle's suspension. The contacted called suntrup Nissan (6000 s lindbergh blvd, st louis, mo 632123) and was informed that the part for the recall repair would be unavailable until spring of 2018. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
I have had 3 recalls on my Nissan since 2015. It has been 2 years and all 3 are still unresolved. When contacting Nissan, the response is - to await the invitation to the dealership. Driving this vehicle is unsafe and yet I have to risk my well-being every day to get around.
I am referring to chapter 11 case no. 17-11375(bls).
Was driving down the street and I heard a loud bang then my car veered off to the right. Luckily I wasn't on a busy road and was able to pull it all the way over. The front of my car basically collapsed onto the passenger corner. It was covering my tire and I couldn't move the car. Apparently the strut broke and had to get an alignment. Also, the engine light won't turn off after I put gas in. The gas cap will not screw on right. My door handles keep popping off. My seatbelt keeps getting stuck. And my tire light won't turn off when nothing is wrong with it.
Tl the contact owns a 2009 Nissan Versa. While driving 50 mph, the vehicle spun out of control without warning. The vehicle turned completely around to the point that the contact and her family were facing towards traffic. The vehicle crashed into the bushes on the shoulder. The air bags did not deploy. There were no injuries. A police report was not filed. The rim was bent over the rear driver's tire. The vehicle was repaired and the wheels were replaced by the contact's local mechanic. The crash was related to NHTSA campaign number: 15v573000 (suspension). The failure mileage was 100,000.
Takata recall I was informed last week via a letter that I have two recalls on my vehicle. So I did what Nissan told me to do and went to a dealership, to pick up a loaner vehicle provided from Nissan. We went through all of the paperwork and they informed me that the driver side airbag will not be available until spring 2018. I accepted this fact and was willing to accept their loaner vehicle and bring my car home and not drive it. When we got to the rental agreement they informed me I would not be able to use the vehicle for lyft or uber driving, lyft is my main source of income and I have no other option. I am also a driver for amazon flex and I'm leaving pizza hut. When I went to sign the rental agreement they informed me that I would not be able to use their vehicle for my job. Also they informed me that I would need to contact Nissan for it to be approved to be able to use the vehicle for commercial purposes. This is my only means of transportation and income. So I contacted Nissan and the person I was connected with escalated my case to a regional Nissan manager. The second person called me back within a few hours and informed me that I would not be able to use the vehicle for my job, and that if I choose to continue to drive my current vehicle I would be relinquishing any rights if the airbags were to harm me. So I either choose to accept their loaner vehicle and find a new job, or refuse the car and drive my current vehicle with airbags that might harm me and or occupants of my vehicle. While I was at the dealership I attempted everything I possibly could I even asked if they would be able to accept my car as a trade in they denied to this because of the airbags. So I have the choice of changing careers or continue to drive a car that could possibly injure me or any occupants. I was informed to contact the NHTSA by the dealership I purchased my car from.
I received a recall notice saying that my driver side airbag made by takata needs to be replaced and that parts will not be available until the spring of 2018, and that Nissan would supply me with a loaner car until the parts were available, when I talked to the dealer ship they said that I'm not eligible for a loaner because I'm only 23 years old, meaning if your under 25 it's ok to drive a car that could take your life. Also I found out that my passenger side airbag and front springs have a recall on them that I was never notified about, so my question is are company aloud to leave unsafe vehicle on the road leaving me to hope nothing will happen because of my age? I have no tickets or accidents and I've been driving sense I was 16 years old. Thank you adam coots 510-453-9137.
My car is, what the dealership calls, grounded. Stating it is unsafe to drive. I received a recall. I have been without my car since then. It sits in a lot at the dealership with, what the parts manager told me, with a whole lot full of my year, make and model for this same reason. The other problem is the computer model, which has been on back order since 08/2017. On national back order I was told, which could be the next recall. I am checking by my VIN if this is the case. There are at least 8 recalls for this year Versa, depending on the VIN.
Vehicle experiences knocking in the steering column at low speeds/stationary when turning the steering wheel clockwise and counter clockwise. This knocking symptom is amplified when vehicle travels over uneven surface at any speed. When braking at speeds, the steering wheel shifts violently in operators hands. Rotors and pads as well as strut assembly was replaced in an attempt to correct the issue. Symptoms continued after these replacements. Tie rod ends and swing bars were later replaced with no positive results. This leave the assumption that the issue is related to the power steering system. Possible defect in the rack and pinion steering unit.
Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Versa. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 17v449000 (air bags) and 15v573000 (suspension); however, the parts to do the repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The dealer was contacted (thruway Nissan, newburgh, NY, 845 562-1000) and confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.

Takata recall and spring coil recall I purchased/financed my Nissan Versa car this year 2017 around February. Sometime in July 2017 I received a letter informing me of the takata recall for the air bag inflator hazard and to contact the nearest Nissan dealer for further instructions. I contacted them here in monroe michigan gave them my VIN number and they then informed me that they were aware of the recall & also informed me of a second recall of a spring coal recall was a recall before I purchased the car and was not informed of it also, they then proceeded to tell me that at that time they did not have any loaner vehicles available & that they can place me on a waitlist or that I could call around to different dealerships to see if they had any available. They stated that they only had 4 loaner vehicles on there lot & that they were using them only for their customers & they would come first before anyone else. I called three other dealerships they all put me on the waiting list with no response back & several attempts inquiring about the loaner vehicle. I have not driven the car since July up until the date, while I had been driving prior to July I had had several problems with the suspension on the car, had the car services twice at the dealership I purchased the vehicle from with no solution to the problem when I'm driving the car you can smell a tire burning smell & they said it was ok to drive. I thought otherwise so I completely stop driving the car still payed the carnote monthly & car insurance waiting on the loaner vehicle. Because of this I have almost lost my job, missed worked & had to car pool my kid's & I back & forth to school & work. I talked to the Nissan corporation they investigated it & informd me that they would not be able to reimburse me & still proceeded to keep me on the waitlist I have recently given the car back requesting for a refund.
2010 Nissan Versa 1,8 hatchback, recall spring issue replaced , and the 7 years old struts are the same now the springs and struts aren't working together this is starting to lead to suspension issue that weren't there before the replacement of the springs the car does not have 30,000 miles yet.
My car is under 100,000 miles and failed inspection due to sub frame bushing missing. The mechanic told me these parts usually last for up to 200,000 miles. He also told me my tire could've come right off the car with this part missing. This could've cause a major accident or fatality! can you please look into this. I've down some research and have found lots of Versas from 2007-2009 models have been having the same problems.
2012 nissa Versa hatchback. Front driver's side suspension spring broke Sunday, April 16th, 2017. Vehicle's odometer was just over 56,000 miles at the time. Travelling for the weekend, put on about 70 miles before it broke. The spring broke while in park. Unbeknownst to me at the time, this spring was part of recall 15v573000. I had never received any notification regarding this recall, so I had the vehicle serviced at a local shop. Then, after later learning of the recall, I contacted Nissan multiple times requesting any form of reimbursement, even partial reimbursement. I was denied because the repair work had not been done by them. They claimed they were "not in a position" to offer any type of reimbursement.
I had the exact same issue as a recall that was supposedly solved 11 days before my car was manufactured. My car has been on the road for less than 5 years (it will be 5 years this December) and is still under 60,000 miles (it has about 52,000). Both of the front springs recently broke, and I am from one of the states who issued a recall for Nissan Versas manufactured from 2006- November 11, 2012 (mine was manufactured on November 23, 2012). This type of issue cannot be caused by user error, and the recall that does not cover my vehicle specifically mentioned that the front springs could be corroded by salt on the road for things like snow- something that is a big issue in my state. I believe that the springs should be covered and/or recalled at less than 5 years or 60,000 miles, especially so soon after they allegedly fixed/changed the part outlined in the recall. I started hearing clunking noises that increased over the course of a week in sound and frequency, only when I turned my wheel far (in either direction) whether stationary or in motion, regardless of speed.
Too bouncy when driving and squeeking sound when driving slow on curves un even that occurs before I got the Nissan Versa 2012.
Told struts/shocks are leadking - only 28,000 miles on car.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Versa. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign numbers: 17v449000 and 17v028000 (air bags), and 15v573000 (suspension); however, the parts needed for the repair were not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact called executive Nissan at (888) 994-0536 (located at 900 universal dr n, north haven, CT 06473) and was informed that the part was not available. The manufacturer stated that the part would become available sometime in the spring of 2018. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
At around 72,000 miles, both front springs broke. As one of the attached pictures shows, a very sharp end of one of the springs was less than 2 inches away from a front tire. Bad springs on this car are a known safety item for NHTSA, but only in what are called "salt states" - places where they use salt on the roads. That is simply whitewashing this problem. I do not live in a salt state, nor has this car ever been in one in winter. Nhtsa should take care of this problem before someone dies.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Versa. The contact stated that the vehicle was pulling in the front end and swayed to the right. The VIN was included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v573000 (suspension). The vehicle was to be taken to a dealer for inspection and diagnosed as well as to schedule an appointment for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
All the airbags not working as indicated lights flashing! recall states passenger airbag could explode causing metal fragments resulting in injury even death. Was informed by Nissan san francisco dealer that there is no fix for the airbag problem yet and they're not responsible for my anything to do with airbags not engaged except for the recall and that there is no fix for currently for the safety recall. In addition, when buying new tire sand getting a wheel alignment, I've been informed that all 4 of my struts are bent and suspension is off as a result.
The contact owns a 2010 Nissan Versa. While driving various speeds, the front spring collapsed and caused the wheels to lock up. The vehicle was experiencing the same failure as described in NHTSA campaign number: 15v573000 (suspension); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact stated that the vehicle was unable to be driven. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 92,000.
The sub frame bushing needs replaced. It is a safety issue. My car only has 30,000 on it. When researching I have found this is an issue with most Nissan Versa"s. Why has there not been a recall????????.
I am a us marine serving in germany. Nissan has been refusing to replace my front springs in accordance with the recall because I am not in north America. Last month one of them broke on the highway. Luckily, no one was hurt.
