1 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 1998 Oldsmobile 88

Failure Date: 11/04/2004

While the vehicle was parked, the consumer noticed that a liquid was leaking from underneath the vehicle. Also, while applying the brakes the pedal did not go to the floor. The braking power was less than normal. Consumer took vehicle to dealer for inspection, and the mechanic determined that the oil pan gasket and front brake pads needed to be replaced.

2 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 1996 Oldsmobile 88

Failure Date: 01/05/2002

Consumer stated the fuel sending unit was leaking fuel, vehicle was taken to auto tech where they verified the problem (pinpoint holes in sending unit), and repaired it, upon inspection consumer was made aware of the front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced the engine was leaking oil, the power steering pump and pressure line was leaking and the transmission pan had a minor leak.

3 Engine Oil Leaking problem of the 1997 Oldsmobile 88

Failure Date: 01/21/1998

Vehicle has an oil leak. Dealer is aware of the problem. Warranty does not cover oil leak. Problem still exists.
