37 Electrical System problem of the 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada

Faulty driver's side seat belt. The consumer received recall 03v-117000 related to a faulty driver's side seat belt. The dealer was contacted and an appointment was scheduled but the part was not available. The consumer returned at a later date to have it done. The vehicle was working fine when it was dropped off. When departing the facility after repair, the drivers side front seat would not move forward or backwards. The driver's door locks would not open or lock automatically. The interior lights flickered on and off. The service rep was contacted and requested that the vehicle be returned to the dealer. Upon inspection the technician indicated that the malfunctions were not the dealers problem and that they would be billed for any repairs made.

All wheel drive (awd) engages and disengages on snow covered roads while going uphill, starting from a stop and during slippery road conditions. (in smartrak all wheel drive system) the rear wheels would spin, then the awd would repeat the process of engaging and disengaging.

The relay blew, and started a fire under the hood of the car. The dealer suggested that the consumer update the security system which was added to the existing gm system for extra protection. The system left the vehicle down and could not be started. The relay had blown and started a fire under the hood. The dealer would not remove the system.

4 batteries have been replaced during the first 25000 miles, dealer has had to reload data that is missing, vehicle sometimes loses power to a number of systems, headlights inoperative, electronic compass malfunctions, the radio operates erratically, the dome lights dont turn off, the vehicle security system activates for no reason, the power door locks will not open electrically, the computer codes have been checked, parts have been replaced but the problem exists. SUV failed to start. SUV has been towed to dealership at least three times. At first. Dealer wasn't able to find the problem. Secondly, dealer found a cause which wasn't the actual problem, and thirdly, didn't perform any corrective actions. Returned SUV to owner. GMC representative stated "they were only responsible for the SUV while under warranty. Please describe details.
