One problem related to transmission slip out of gear has been reported for the 1998 Oldsmobile Silhouette. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The vehicle hesitated when shifting out of overdrive at highway speeds, the dealer first diagnosed it as a filter problem then replaced sensors and rebuilt the fuel injectors as a possible cause, lastly the crack spark plug wire was replaced but the problem continued, finally the transmission was rebuilt and the problem was fixed.
