Service Brakes Problems of Plymouth Breeze

The contact owns a 1997 Plymouth Breeze. While driving at various speeds, the contact heard a noise coming from rear wheel drum on the passenger side. While attempting to park, smoke emitted from the rear wheel causing a fire. The failure recurred three times. The fire was extinguished by the fire department and no police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the brake system needed to be replaced on the rear tire. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 58,000.

I have tried to resolve the numbers of recalls that are still pending on my car. The three pending recalls are 843, c45, and e23. I have been to the dealer and I was served and told that they were going to order the parts. The dealer never call to tell me about the status of the parts. I called to check and the parts never arrived. The dealer have not take any action to repair my car.

While driving,the consumer applied the brakes, but the pedal went to the floor. The vehicle started shaking violently and uncontrollably. The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit another vehicle head on. The vehicle caught fire. The fire department was called to extinguished the fire. Both frontal air bags did not deploy. The driver sustained head and neck injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The vehicle was towed and totaled out by the insurance company. Please fill in additional information. The vehicle was totally burned beyond recognition everything was destroyed. One death as a result of the accident. The consumer now walks with a limp. Accident happened around spring 1999.

Vehicle involved in several accidents resulting from loss of control when brakes are applied. The consumer received a recall notice (#04v021000) for power train: automatic transmission: lever and linkage:floor shift . The consumer was informed that the recall notice did not apply to the problem she was having.

Oil leal. . . Head gasket. . . . Defect in design brakes.

The vehicle experienced the same problem as stated in recall #96 v 07 500, however the vehicle identification number was not I included in the recall.
