Emission Control problems of the 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Five problems related to emission control have been reported for the 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 12/01/2000

Airbag light came on/criuse control stopped working. Dealer replaced clock spring assembly. At same time engine check light came on. Dealer replaced oxygen sensor. Also, transmission went out at 10400 miles, and emergency brake had to be replaced 3 times.

2 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 10/27/2000

Plastic vent hose that connects to fuel tank was leaking fuel, and causing fire hazard. Consumer had to replace fuel tank because manufacturer did not sell plastic vent hose that separated.

3 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 08/01/1998

There is a fuel leak at the interface fuel pump module, causing the fuel to leak into the engine. Fuel tank cap/seal has been replaced. Also, fuel vent was leaking.

4 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 04/23/1997

Oxygen sensor failed causing the check engine light to illuminate. Mjs.

5 Emission Control problem

Failure Date: 08/01/1995

Engine continually stalling, replacement of crank sensor did not remedy stalling.
