1 Power Window problem of the 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Failure Date: 06/01/2006

Air conditioning system: evaporator was replaced 3 times so far, first time being under 3 year warranty. Service engine light stays on all the time now, even after being diagnosed with "no problems" and being reset. Lately, the windows won't go up and down until the car is stopped and restarted. Same thing with the speedometer and the tachometer. They just "go dead".

2 Power Window problem of the 1997 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Failure Date: 06/17/2004

Started when I would take off in first gear, it would vibrate really hard, like a manual transmition does when it needs to down shift. Then I was almost in a collision, when I was stopped on the side of a hill, and went to pull over, and to my surprise I rolled backwards, as if in nutral. My trasmission was gone. After a very large tow bill, and 1500 rebuilt transmission, my dim lights only work when they want to, the passenger window is to the point where it almost wont go up. . . . . There's almost too much more to go on.

4 Power Window problem of the 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Failure Date: 06/15/2002

The power window on the drivers side just became sluggish and finally went down and wouldn't come back up, a bracket was broken, the entire assembly had to be replaced. The transmission would not go into gear during very cold weather and it was not a consistent problem to begin with. When you put the car in drive the engine would rev but it would not move forward. Then finally after warming up a few minutes it would lurch forward and be fine. Finally this past week it began making a grinding noise in reverse and refused to go in reverse. The car was put into drive and the grinding noise continued. Just fyi when I contacted Chrysler corporation about this problem, because I think a car should be able to make it to at least 100,000 miles before you start experiencing major problems, the customer assistance rep told me that I was unrealistic to expect my car to make it 100,000 miles. I find this amusing since this is the first car that I have owned that has had any major problems before 100,000 miles. My transmission mechanic also told me that he can only guarantee my repairs for 90 days because there are so many problems with the transmissions in these vehicles.

6 Power Window problem of the 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager

Failure Date: 12/18/2000

The left door window assembly has broken three times in the last year. I have had over $600 in payments to keep the window working. The dealership replaced the frame the second time but not the labor. I will be contacting the dealership next week to see if I can get any type of refund on the money from the latest incident which was two weeks ago. The radio has basically quit working. All of the buttons to work the radio and cd player do nothing or something crazy when pushed.
