One problem related to transmission not go into gear has been reported for the 1997 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Automatic transmission dropped out of drive without warning while going at highway speed of 65 mph. Transmission would not stay in gear. Service technician dropped transmission pan and discovered metal shavings in pan. Automatic transmission was properly serviced at Plymouth dealership on the two recommended maintenance schedules recommended by the owners manual: 17,000 and 35,000 miles. The scheduled maintenance did not discover any problems with the transmission.
