Speed Control Linkage problems of the 1998 Plymouth Voyager

Two problems related to speed control linkage have been reported for the 1998 Plymouth Voyager. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Speed Control Linkage problem

Failure Date: 07/17/2002

Consumer states that after they brought their vehicle to the dealership to have the recall done for fuel leakage, the dealership stated that they had to order a special part to complete the recall and they will call the consumer when they received the part. The dealership has not gotten back in contact with consumer, and the vehicle is leaking fuel. Ts.

2 Speed Control Linkage problem

Failure Date: 05/08/2001

Throttle linkage cable became frayed and stuck within the sheath. Engine remained at high rpm, making it difficult to stop or turn. Almost went through the back of my garage trying to stop. Very unsafe situation which should be investigated and a recall instituted. High possibility of injury or death.
