Received 2 recall notices, recall # 14152; and recall # 13036. Recall# 14152, has been replaced I'm assuming. My concern is that my vehicle accelerates at an higher speed than what I'm driving, the rpm dial shoots up to 5 or 6 on the rpm dial then gradually go down to 1. When I am at an complete stop, my vehicle is slow about accelerating, which can be scary because people behind me are driving faster than I'm moving, then all of a sudden my vehicle accelerates at a higher speed than I'm driving. I pray that this recall will resolve this issue I am an 65 year old lady, with 2 grandchildren that I take on different events. I'm concerned about an potential safety default in my vehicle could cause an fatal accident to myself or someone else especially my grandchildren. This letter is notice to you of my concern driving this vehicle. I can't purchase another car I'm on an fixed income. Thank you. Oh by the way recall #13036 is not in stock yet, I'm waiting for part to come in . I pray it will come in before my car breakdown permanently.

"service airbags" light came on 5/12/14. Owner's manual lists this as potential hazard as airbags may fail to deploy or deploy without warning. Took vehicle two blocks from my home to service station station on 5/13/14, but station said they do not work on airbags. Took vehicle home and parked it. Sent e-mail to Saturn's customer service center on 5/14/14, and eventually spoke to a supervisor on 5/17/14. He said that in order for gm to do anything, I would have to take the vehicle to a dealership in fairfax, va. I explained that I do not believe that I should spend any more money on the vehicle as I feel that it is defective. The supervisor said that he would arrange for towing and gm would pay for it. He also stated that I would be reimbursed for repairs or compensated for the loss of the use of the vehicle and that he would work with me "every step of the way. " on 5/20/14, I called for the supervisor and someone else returned my call. When I requested that gm provide me with a written document as to how they intended to resolve the issue, I was told that this would have to be discussed with the supervisor and then they would get back to me. They did not call me back all day Monday. I called and left a message on 5/21/14 and they have not responded to me in any way. The vehicle has been parked in my lot since 5/13/14 and I don't know what to do. I am afraid to drive the vehicle because of my own history with it and the recent spate of recalls for similar issues that have involved injury and death. (my vehicle is not currently under recall but does have similar issues to vehicles that are under recall). I don't know what to do. After promising to assist me, gm now will not return my calls.
On 4/27/14, vehicle lost power steering and power brakes when driving vehicle in parking space at 10mph. Driver applied two feet to brakes and vehicle would not stop. Steering too difficult to turn. Emergency brake applied as vehicle extremely difficult to steer or apply brakes to stop vehicle. Narrowly missed being hit by another vehicle.

The contact owns a 2009 Saturn Aura. The contact stated that while driving at low speeds making a turn, the brakes malfunctioned making the vehicle very difficult to stop. The contact indicated that the failure would only occur while pressing the brakes and turning the steering wheel at the same time. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 50,000.

After only 4,000 miles, the rotors needed to be replaced! then I started noticing the dash above the glove box was beginning to crack as well as the left change holder (below the dimmer switch). Now the entire dash just above the glovebox is completely cracked and the glove box hangs down. The same issue with the dimmer switch. . . The dash area is completely cracked through. I am not rough on my car. . . This is not just wear and tear. Other issues include the drive shaft making a clunking noise when turning (especially to the left). The auto locks no longer work (button on door won't lock the doors. . . Only unlocks them), and a real safety issue is the driver's side door sometimes won't unlock. . . Even when the handle is pulled. It has to be manually lifted up.
My car has been serviced at the dealer numerous times, for the following issues. Service lights would come on I. E. Engine, traction, air bags, tire pressure, etc. The remote on the car stopped working, and the door locks would open and shut on their own at various times while driving. I continuously have to manually lock the car. On a total of 3 occasions my car would not start. I cut the car off and went to start it again and it would not start at all. While driving the car I came to a complete stop, the car was in drive and as I accelerated the car moved in reverse. Oil leaking. I have taken this car to the shop multiple times within the last few months. Please note it is currently sitting from the last time it would not start. I have receipts totaling over 3,000. 00 for this car in a short period. I took it to the dealership, only to have to take it back a month later and was told I need a new battery. On another occasion when it stopped I had just gotten the car out of the shop and 2 days later it stopped running. I paid for a tow and went to pick it up from the dealer who could find nothing wrong. Then the next week it stopped running again, where it is sitting now. Updated 03/07/lj updated 03/18/2014* js.
Was in back to back traffic using brakes often, when I tried to use the brakes it was not working, the car run into another car in front of me, damaged the entire front of my car. To repair this car it will cost xxxxxwhich is as the value of the car. The car involved had very little damage only my Saturn Aura has serious damaged. I have had this similar issues with the breaks previously. On the Saturn Aura reviews they are few brakes problem reported. This 2008 Aura was manufactured in 2007. There is many 2007 Aura reported brakes problems. I want to pursue an investigation and possible replacement or reimbursement from the manufacturer. Please advice me if I should fix the car or if I should get a lawyer or what I need to do.
1st problem rear door locks would keep opening and locking by themselves, same time trunk would would not unlock. Had to have all repaired at a cost of $450. 2nd problem while car parked in drive an in park car rolled back into mail box now have to have fender repaired, took to dealer could find no problem. 3rd problem car driver door sagging chipping paint dealer tightened does not hold.
We bought the vehicle used in 2012, with approx. 37k miles on it. Within 50 miles, we realized the brakes had an issue & took it back to the chevy dealer, who did the repairs free of charge. Since that time, we have had to replace/repair the brakes (specifically the rotors) 3 times- approx. Every 10k miles, as the vehicle now sits at 63k miles. I understand brake pad wear- but replacing the *rotors* that often is ridiculous and expensive. Something is causing the rotors to warp, either poor quality materials or a problem with the hydraulics causing uneven braking- please investigate & start a recall!.
Back brakes were feeling different and when I had car inpected found that it needed back brakes and routers. My car had only 38000 miles on it. I found this to be very unusual also. Had them replaced and all is good for now.
Brake shudder from warped brake rotors (15,000 miles) brake linings fine. Causes intermittent braking problems. Temporary fix:rotors turned (until they warp again and can no longer be turned) original rotor durability is questionable. (a safety and quality issue).
Tl * the contact owns a 2007 Saturn Aura. While driving at an unknown speed, the brakes and rotors began to overheat. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they diagnosed the issue as normal wear and tear. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer stated that the contact was responsible for the failure. The failure mileage was 12,000.
I own a 2007 Saturn Aura. The mileage is approximately 132k. I have multiple brake issues I have replaced the brakes 4 times since I bought the vehicle brand new in 2007. The dealership has told me that with this mileage the average would have been to replace the brakes two times and that four times was unheard of. I request that an investigation be done on this situation. I see from other posting that I'm not the only one with this problem.
Brakes needed replacing before 30,000 miles.
I purchased a 2007 Saturn Aura xr new from Saturn of thornton rd. In March 2008. Beginning at purchase I have had to have the brakes replaced, 2 window motors redone, steering parts ordered and put on door handles replaced, and I am currently waiting for more steering parts and door handles to be ordered. I make monthly trips to this dealership to have something repaired. . . Please help me.
The contact owns a 2007 Saturn Aura. When the vehicle was started, the esc and brake indicators illuminated. The contact also stated that the air bag indicator flashed on and off. The dealer diagnosed that the harness needed to be weathered. The contact did not remember the second part that the dealer replaced. The failures recurred every year since 2007, at the onset of winter. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 150.
Since buying my Saturn Aura in March 2007 my life has been a complete headache. I first had to take my car into the shop with only 2300 miles on it for rack and pinion to be replaced. Since then it has been in the shop no less than every 6 months. I have had to replace the brakes and rotors two times, motor mount, passenger air bag, sunroof drain, water pump, coolant crossover pipe, water reservoir, steering shaft and more. Now my rack and pinion is bad again and they will not fix it. Also there is a major rattle in front of car and squeal coming from front drivers side tire. They tell me that there is nothing wrong and cannot duplicate. Just recently I have started to notice that my car steering is funny and also that it cuts out or accelerates on it's own. I am planning on getting it back in again to the shop soon. I do not feel safe driving this car. I have three small children and want something done to stop all the problems.
