Two problems related to front suspension lower control arm have been reported for the 2004 Saturn ION. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The contact owns a 2004 Saturn Ion. While driving 25 mph, the front passenger side wheel became lodged into the wheel well. Upon further investigation, the contact noticed the front lower control arm failed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, but was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 125,000. The VIN was not available.
2004 Saturn Ion right front tire worn down to metal. Then right front lower arm broke into causing a crash. No corrections were done. Saturn CO. Said it wasn't a faulty part. Said part broke when hitting a the curb. Curb was hit because no control of steering.
