I've had my car in the shop twice for the ignition switch. One of the times gm paid for it due to a recall within months the car was back into passlock light coming on car stalling while in movement key stuck in ignition have to wiggle it to get it back into the turn off position. This last time as of today the car will not run you have trouble getting the key out of a lock the passlock is showing on the car dashboard.
1. The ignition switch will not disengage. . . Sometimes after motor is turned off and car is in park the car must be turned back on four or five times before the ignition will engage correctly. The vehicle is stationary. . . In the park position. . . . Key will lock inself and not disengage. The car was on a city street when this occurred. It began to occur five months ago. . . Now it happens at least ten times a week. 2. All electrical symbols on dashboard say: coolant. . . But when checked the coolant is fine.

I was driving and my transmission I bought from gm only 14 months ago went out. It was remanufactured and the part cost me 5,513. 63 dollars. I only drove approximately 9,000 miles and they said it was 12 mo. Or 1 year so they can't help me. I would expect a remanufactured transmission to last more than 9000 miles and asked if I was the first to have failure at so low mileage and he replied yes. I feel I've been cheated as a consumer. Gm parts told me that part is covered 3 years or 36,000 miles however customer service said that's wrong. I was only at 14 months when it went out and at 9000 miles it is so unfair because it is suppose to be like a brand new transmission. All gm is about is making money and not about the satisfaction of their customers. Car was in motion when it went out.
My car feels like a death trap. To start off with only one of my windshield wiper motors work . When I first bought the car from a single individual the passenger side wiper appeared to shake a little more than the driver side. As if it was working a little harder to keep up with the other wiper. . And then less than a month after purchasing vehicle it stopped working all together. Now I only have the driver side wiper that I use. Also when I go to turn on the blinker, go over a railroad track, make a turn iorn vehicle, or sometimes just sitting still. The wiper will start working without me having turnned it on. At first it would just come on for 3 or 4 swipes and then automatically stop again. But now its doing it more frequently and sometimes it will not stop swipping whichis very aggravating causing scratches on my windshield and wearing my one wiper down faster than it should be. Along with these problems my car has also been idleing extremly high upon cranking and while changing gears it acts as if it gets stuck between 1rst 2cd and 3rd. Also when I try to increase speed for passing or to make turns it sometimes just causes it to bog down more instead of increasing my speed it sounds as if its gonna blow up the engine.

I had my vehicle repaired under the ignition recall and ever since that my key gets stuck in the ignition half way.
Was travelling on my way home from work and a fox darted out in front of me in the center of the road. I swerved slightly to miss the fox and the power steering in the car went out. I was unable to straighten the wheel and the car went into a 180 degree spin and ended up facing the other direction flipped up on the passenger side. I crawled out of the drivers window. Air bags did not deploy either. Had I not been wearing my seatbelt, I probably would have ended up underneath the car and if traffic had been coming, I could have killed someone else in oncoming traffic.

Had vehicle taken in for ignition switch recall per notice. After repairs for which my vehicle was in shop for almost 30 days, I was given vehicle back. After 2 weeks the ignition switch would still stick and not allow for the key to be returned to the off switch after several tries. I just have dealt with this for awhile now, but not it is becoming more of an issue and I feel the recall parts are not working.

November 10th at 4:50 pm I left the grocery store I pulled into garage at 5pm put my car in park and the key would not move in the ignition so the car would not shut off. I opened manual to page 105-106 and tried the shift lock release and that did not work. I called dealership and their service department was already closed and were going to be closed the next day on veterans day. So I placed a call to aaa and they had to send out a lock smith to turn off the car and replace the ignition. 3 hours and $275 dollars later because aaa covers $100 of it my car was fixed. This is not a safe thing to occur in a vehicle. I googled this and saw that many others have had this issue and am very disappointed that there has been no recall on something like this.

I purchased 2004 Saturn Ion 3 in 2013 and within 30days I started having problems with transmission. Vehicle would stall out and begin to hesitate around 35mph. I started inquiring about transmission issues on internet and observed this is a common issue with this vehicle. I'm getting no help with this issue with gm dealership. With all the other owners complaints about this transmission issue with the Saturn Ion there should be a national recall to fix transmission defect on this vehicle. (cvt or vti transmission).
I am not sure if the power train is the transmission, but this car will downshift on its own, causing it to loose speed incredibly fast almost to the point of stopping. I found out there was a recall on this transmission, but gm now says there was not. Even though when I first called, the gentleman that answered said that the symptoms fit the recall stats. When I was able to talk with the person that was handling the claim, she said it was past 8 years, and they could not fix the recalled problem. I have had more than one garage, and transmission company tell me that this transmission is on a recall, just by checking the VIN #. Gm now refuses to fix it and denies saying it was on recall. The auto dealer I bought it from says they can't do anything about it, even though they have sold other Saturns, same year. I spoke with the girl there that "enters the vins into the system to see if there is a recall on the car". . . And she knew nothing about this car, although it has 4 other recalls listed for this year and model. Other important facts, I first called a local Saturn dealer, and they blew me off saying it was just "stuck" (the transmission) I kept driving it thinking I was wrong it was stuck like they said, whatever that meant. It got worse, I ended up calling gm as referred to by many garages and auto parts stores, and they acknowledged the recall on tranny, then flipped it around . While driving this car whether it is on the highway or a street, it will suddenly almost stop without hitting the breaks, as it will downshift on its own. This almost caused more than one accident. The car cannot be driven, I was never told about this problem when I bought the car.
I started my car, pulled forward through the parking lot, didn't reverse. Headed down westheimer at about approx. 35 mph. I drove about one mile when I heard the warning chime and my power steering suddenly went out. Luckily I was the only one on the road being it was about 1 am. I pulled into a gas station turned my car off and back on suddenly it was back.
