The contact owns a 2002 Saturn l200 sedan. While driving approximately 30 mph the vehicle stalled. The contact stated the check engine light illuminated just before the failure occured. The contact attempted to restart the vehicle but it would not restart. The vehicle was towed to a local mechanic and the mechanic advised her that the timing chain needed replacing. The vehicle has not been repaired. The failure and current mileage was 100,000.
I own a 2001 Saturn lw300 wagon with 96,000 miles. My daughter and I were driving home from school when the car suddenly lost power. The check engine light appeared, and the car would not crank. I was fortunate to be able to coast the last one-half mile to our sub-division. The contact owns a 2002 Saturn l300. While driving the vehicle at various speeds, the exterior lights remain illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and they stated that the switches for all the lights on the vehicle needed to be replaced. The check engine light was illuminated because the engine module computer needed to be replaced along with other sensors. The contact also stated that the oil housing failed. While getting an oil change at jiffy lube, the contact was informed that the oil housing screw was loose and the filter could not be changed. The current mileage was 82,564 and failure mileage was 500.
Problems with vehicle's steering and air bag equipment. The consumer ignition control module failed prior to recall notice. The consumer was told that there were not parts available to fix the problem. The check engine light also illuminated.
