The passenger side air bag seat sensor is failing and is a known issue by gm and Saturn, this is a known safety issue that is endangering people's lives.
The contact owns a 2008 Saturn Sky. The contact stated that the passenger side air bag sensor was defective and caused the air bag to deactivate. The dealer stated that the air bag sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and the manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 60,000.
The passenger side airbag sensor appears to be malfunctioning. It causes the airbag to go to the "off" position. Gm appears to be recalling other makes and models but not the Saturn Sky for the airbag issue.
