I had just dropped off a CO-worker when my passenger side air bag and seat belt light came back on with no one in the seat. I went down the road a few miles and the lights went off. I went a little further down the road when they came back on again. The next day the same thing happened except this time the lights remained on until the vehicle was parked and the engine turned off. This has happened twice so far, the first time March 4, 2015, and the second incident on March 5, 2015. I have had passengers in the seat before without the light coming back on after they have gotten out. This is a new problem that I have just recently experienced. I have only had the vehicle five months so I do no know if this has happened prior to me owning it. I will be taking it to a garage to be checked out if this happens again to try and duplicate the problem.
Can not turn on or off passenger side airbag using the button in above the radio and the light on the dashboard turns on every time I put something in the passenger seat. Even if it's a bottle of water my Vue is a v6 automatic with the Honda engine, but the transition between gears is not smooth at all it feels more like it's jerking into gear. When I put my car in park. I'm know one day I'm going to walk up to it and it won't be there because it will have rolled away. My Vue rolls back n forth in park on flat surfaces. So on a hill it's scarry. It rolls more than my old car that didn't even have anti lock breaks. And a lot of the time using the e-break dosnt help all that much.
The contact owns a 2006 Saturn Vue. The contact stated that the vehicle crashed into another vehicle on the rear drivers side door. The side air bags deployed however, the front air bags did not. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was not made available of the failure. The failure and current mileage was 155,000.
Passenger side air bag sensor failed; possibly causing air bags to inflate while car in motion or no inflation if in accident. Multiple reports posted on blog with exactly same Saturns. Cost to fix problem centers around $1050. 00 with mine coming in at $1040. 24. Local gm repair center manager aware of issue & highly suggested I advise NHTSA as this is considered a safety issue! frustrated that Saturn did not issue a recall. Report made to Chevrolet @ 800-222-1020 with reference #71-934029515.
Constant air bag light indicator on dash for driver side comes on goes off. . . . Several times per day but everytime I would drive to dealership light would go off, which per tech could not pinpoint problem with machines used to show problems until light is on and stays on 1. 5 years later still dealing with air bag light issues, after replacement of sensor found air bag malfunction with drive side curtain which was finally replaced may of 2008 . Now having issues with molding that houses side curtain air bag which is now exposed.
