2 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2015 Subaru Forester

Failure Date: 11/22/2018

My 2015 Forester stalled while driving in the middle lane on the NJ parkway (going about 65-70mph. ) there were no warning lights or any indications that this would happen. I had about 3/4 of a tank of gas left. When the car stalled, it felt like it downshifted and then completely stopped - almost as if we ran out of gas (but we didn't). The electric (lights, radio, heat) was on the whole time. We were stalled for about 15-20 minutes until the cops came. We put the car in neutral and they bumped us to the shoulder. While waiting for a tow truck, we tried to start the car again and it worked (about 30 minutes after the initial stall. ) we then drove to the nearby gas station and filled up the car; it took 12 gallons of gas and I have the receipt. The Subaru service center cannot find the issue. They said the computer isn't even showing a stall code. This could have been a fatal accident and I want to know exactly what is wrong and know it is fixed before I drive it again. It looks like other owners have had the similar issues.

3 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2017 Subaru Forester

Failure Date: 11/01/2018

Screen blacked out everything went off, no lights, no radio, no dash board vision. This happened 3 times before I took it to the dealer. I was told it was an electrical issues and electrical cables were replaced, however, just this week my vehicle, while waiting at a light, turned completely off. It was so scary, good thing there was no one else behind me. A few minutes later I was able to turn the car on and continue my journey. Now, I do not feel safe when I use my vehicle.

4 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2016 Subaru Forester

Failure Date: 09/08/2018

When using the navigation function, the audio stops providing voice directions, forcing the driver to have to physically look at the map display for directions, taking eyes off of the road. This has occurred on highways as well as in city driving. This also locks the radio display which prevents any other usage of the information screen. This has happened several times in the last 10 months, the last time in April 2019. .

5 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2014 Subaru Forester

Failure Date: 10/21/2017

I have a 2014 Subaru Forester 2. 0xt touring with push start and eyesight. My car wouldn't start with the push start button and the brakes were locked. I couldn't push the brake pedal all the way down. When this first happened months ago, the dealer said it was the battery and that was replaced in November of 2016. At that time the vehicle was parked in a shopping center parking lot and I had the radio on for 30 minutes while sitting in the car. I couldn't start the car afterwards and the brakes were locked up at the time as well. I could not press the brakes all the way down. The second time it would start was last Saturday, October 21, 2017 in the morning. The vehicle was parked overnight and I had trouble starting it in the morning. And the dealer could not replicate the issue. They replaced the brake light switch with no guarantees this will fix the push start issue.

6 Radio/tape Cd Player problem of the 2017 Subaru Forester

Failure Date: 09/06/2016

Since purchase the" radio/computer" hands-free phone communication system has not worked. Hands-free phone communication is not possible. You can call from the car but the person on the other end cannot hear what is said. It was checked and it is not the microphone that is the problem. The entire system needs to be replaced. Replacement system is not currently available from the manufacturer.
