Blew 3 valve gaskets within two weeks after buying car. Blew 2 tires within 2 months of having the car. They fixed an oil control valve and then it needed another. Sway bar links needed replaced, cv joints need replaced, brake pads are extremely low. Ac doesn't work. Had to buy all new tires.

Rear left brake started making a scraping sound as if the brake pads were worn and gouging the rotor, also the brake pedal was pulsating as if the rotor was warped. Upon inspection I noticed that the brake pads were not worn but in fact the smooth surface on the back side of the rotor was chipping away and the rotor was very rough,. These are the original rotors and the rear left was the only one with this problem although the rear right rotor was worn badly also but the pads barely showed any wear. These rear brake pads are the second set since the car was purchased new by me.

I had leased my 2011 Impreza 2. 5i premium through metric Subaru in 2011, I extended my 36 month lease another 5 months in June 2014 through chase bank, and was now in the process of buying the car through chase. On October 11, 2014, after doing a courtesy multi-point inspection, mary, the service advisor, advised me to get out of this car and into a new car with an extended warranty, she told me that I needed rear brake pads for $265 and my struts were sweating and I would need to replace them for $1,100. I left there, my brakes were now squealing. . . Very odd. I called Subaru of America and spoke to kim, I asked if they be able to somehow extend my warranty to cover the cost of the rear struts, kim said that soa would cover the cost. Kim made arrangements with rich, the service manager at metric, and I scheduled an appointment for October 18, 2014 to have the rear struts and rear brake pads replaced. I left metric Subaru with a vibration in my seat and on the floor, and a bounciness/bumpiness in my seat, the belts, engine and exhaust seems to vibrate and sound much louder. One week later, north coast Subaru tells me I now need front brakes and I have a bend in the rim of the front left side and my tire is ripped on the front right side, and I need my front wheels balanced. The price tag for this $550. Two weeks later, competition Subaru recommends a brake and steering fluid flush and an oil change, because my fluids may be contaiminated. Metric Subaru topped off my fluids on October 11? other than that, they tell me my car is fine. But it's not! grand prix Subaru also tells me, "your car is fine. " I have kept kim well informed, all she say is "I am sorry you are having so many issues with your car". Subaru is destroying my car and blackballing me from all of the dealerships. There is another bakeline recall coming up. . . Where can I find an honest Subaru dealership?.

Premature brake wear on rear brakes. Both metal on metal. Dealer replaced rotors and pads at no cost. But I do not think this addressed the real problem. I have never had a vehicle wear out the rear brake pads in such a short amount of time not even the front brakes.

2006 Subaru Impreza. Consumer states while pulling away he heard a continuous grinding/ shearing noise which became more severe upon braking
the consumer stated the vehicle swerved when the brakes were applied. The consumer stated it was later determined the brake shoe assemblies had disintegrated while driving. The backing plates for the pads were heavily rusted and broke off with little pressure.

Front wheel shimmy that increases stopping distance and effects handling. Shimmy comes and goes in intensity but is always present. Shimmy causes the wheel and rotor to shake which prevents the brake pads from stopping the vehicle as intended. This problem caused me to run a stop sign and almost get broadsided by another vehicle. The shimmy still exists and has not been fixed despite complaining about the problem to Subaru and the Subaru dealer. Subaru acknowledged there is a problem and stated that there is an axle balancing problem or a bearing run out problem, but has yet to fix the problem.
2006 Subaru Impreza wrx sti, equipped with factory brembo brakes. Driving in rain on highway w/o using the brakes (no braking) for about 15-20 minutes will result in a delay of 3-4 seconds before actual brake effects start to feel. Running with no brakes literary is a scary feeling. Contacted dealer but they haven't raised any concerns. What should I do?.
Brake rotors and pads replaced causing grinding and noise. Mjs.
