This car have very annoying wind noise coming from top of both side window (around b pillar) when speed over 40mph. And I went to dealer twice try to fix this issue, but they said TSB 12-185-15r can only apply to 15-16 year models, not for 17 year model. But this is exactly same problem on the exact same car. . This issue will cause distracted when driving in high speed!!!.

The driver's side of my front bumper was falling off. The dealer said a bracket had broken. Subaru would not replace the bumper under warranty, but the dealer did replace it free of charge. Now four months later, the passenger's side of the front bumper is falling off. This seems like a safety issue. I have not been hit and have not hit anything.

After being parked for several hours, we got in the car and were driving on side streets, we had just turned onto a highway and were picking up speed (about 30-40mph) when the hood flew up and smashed the windshield. We were able to pull the car over and get assistance. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

I own a 2002 Subaru Legacy in western new york, I recently was told there was an issue that was recalled back in 2004 but my car was never notified or addressed of the issue with corrosion. The recall ( NHTSA campaign number: 03v153000 ) I was driving on the high way when I hit a small bump and the back end of the Subaru dropped and the tire started to shred causing me to loose control of the car , thank good the car came to a rest in the median and no crash or fatalities occurred.

Tl the contact owns a 2015 Subaru Legacy. While driving various speeds, the glare from the sun reflected off the dashboard. The glare prevented the contact from seeing the road clearly. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic to determine the cause of the failure. One year ago, the vehicle was taken to a&t Subaru (801 bethlehem pike, sellersville, PA 18960). The contact was informed that due to the finish of the faceplate on the dashboard, it caused the sun to reflect off the dashboard. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 24,000.

Gas lid would not release after pulling the lever. This has happened mulitiple times prior without me realizing it was a problem because the second time I pulled the lever it would release - this last time it would not release even after multiple pulls - I had to push the gas door forward with the palm of my hand and then pry open.
My 2009 Subaru Legacy's dashboard is completely melted. Now it is a glossy soft material and every time the sun glares from the front, it makes it difficult for me to see out of the window.
Bought my vehicle and was driving it home, had the defrost on cause the window kept fogging up when I heard a crack and the windshield cracked from the bottom up where the defroster is and they wont replace it, on top of the where u put gas in the car it stuck shut and they told me to pry it open n leave it open till they get a part but it is on back order so don't no when I will get it fixed that occurred this month on the gas opener 12/30/2015.
Transmission slips, gas cap does not close/open properly and "sticks. " constant buzzing sound from windows even after they were replaced and the moonroof will not close properly when pressing the button for the first time. The moonroof will close and then open again.
Veh. Was traveling at approx. 25mph up a low incline on slushy paved 2 lane surface. Veh. Broke traction spun sideways and travelled sideways into brush and striking a tree in the driver. Side front fender (side impact). Drivers head struck and broke drvrs. Door window. Drvr. Sustained several facial lacerations requiring plastic surgery and resulting in probable scarring. Front seat passenger sustained right leg injury resulting in severe bruising and swelling. Both were treated in an emergency room and released. Veh. I had entered a parking space, and was slowing to come to the end of said parking space. The car rapidly accellerated, and I could not stop it with the break. I hit the concrete at the end of the space at full speed, which stopped the car. I noticed that the impact had slipped the gear into neutral. When I turned the car back on, it registered that it was in cruise control. I have never used cruise control on any this or any other vehicle. I have bruising from the seat belt, and neck pain from the impact. The vehicle is not drivable due to damage to the front end, and a rumbling noise in the engine with poor response when accelerating.

I was driving on a local highway at around 55 mph which is just under the posted 65 mph limit. Suddenly the hood opens and slams into the windshield. It scared the heck out of me, but I was able to maintain control and pull over despite the surrounding traffic. It could have been a lot worse. Once safely on the side of the road, I sat for a few minutes before getting out since I was shaken a bit. I then checked on the damage. The windshield cracked in several places and the hood sustained multiple dents. I was able to re-latch the hood and drove home slowly for fear that it might happen again. I contacted Subaru customer service to inform of the incident and inquire if there was any type of recall or report on hoods releasing while driving. The rep stated there were no recalls or reports at that time. I had already made an appointment at my local Subaru dealer for brake lie corrosion and computer system recalls. The rep suggested that I mention this to the service department and have them check on the hood latch. If it is determined to be a factory defect, then Subaru may be able to make the repairs. I would like to know if anyone out there has experienced a similar mishap whether an older or newer model. This is a real concern since it could result in serious injury or worse.
Driving to work car running for approximately 20 min. The window control switch inside the driver side door smoked and quickly caught fire. I immediately slowed down and pulled over to the right shoulder and turned off the card. I opened the door and stepped out. Within a few seconds the panel on the car door also caught fire and starting melting. I had beach towel in the back of the car, and tried to smother the fire with the towel, but quickly decided the fire was too large, growing too quickly and was actually inside the door. I gave up on the towel, and in last ditch effort to the save the car I grabbed, and tore off the plastic door panel and threw it to ground. Some of the melted plastic from the door panel did get on my hands, and I received several burns to my fingers that required medical attention. I was then able to extinguish the remaining fire. The car is currently at a body shop for repair. The damage to the car appears to be limited to the driver's side door.

On 11/18/13, at approximately 5:15 pm, I was heading down a street to make a left to go home from work. All of a sudden the car accelerated and would not slow down after I pushed down on the brake with my right foot. I immediately began to turn the wheel to the right onto an empty street to avoid two other cars at the intersection who were going to make the same left I originally wanted to make. For some reason, the car did not go all the way right and went diagonally from the intersection across the street. The car then jumped a curb hitting an electrical pole. At that point, I was pulled out of the car by another driver who saw the incident because when hitting the pole, live wires were dangling from the pole. I was taken across the street away from the car and waited for police and paramedics to come.
As I drove my vehicle into a parking space with a concrete bumper at the head, just as it was ready to stop, it suddenly lunged forward over the concrete bumper and finally came to a stop when the back wheels made contact with the concrete bumper and the ignition was turned off. A very frightening experience. Am not comfortable driving this car for fear of another similar occurrence.

Driving through the salty state of ut. My rear windows on my Subaru Legacy have salt building up on the inside of the door. Going to the car wash doesn't help, it just grows right back. I'm worried that the salt could be causing internal damage to to door, which could lead to failure.
This 2005 Subaru Legacy is a station wagon with power door locks, the back lift gate wiring harness on the passenger side has torn the electrical wires within the flexible boot mounted on the top of the car between the body and the rear hatch. As a result it is no longer possible to lock and secure the rear hatch back door of the station wagon. The wires within the wiring harness are just to short and have ripped themselves apart in addition the rear high mount brake light is also no longer functioning.

This internet system is not the best form for this: the manufatcurer has replaced the sun visors once, but it doesn't help. The visor design is poor. They swing with great freedom & speed any time you round a curve or turn quickly, smackiong the driver in the head at the right height to knock off glasses or knock the brim of your hat across your eyes when you maneuver briskly. This is very distracting & can dangerously interfere with visability & control of the vehicle, causing accidents. We haven't had one yet. . The company simply replaced the original visor with an identical one, which soon had the same problem. The design is very poor (one of several very poorly designed items on this car). The shafts on which they pivot so rapidly & freely are hollow, to make space for the power cord for the **lighted mirrors(!!)** this is why it can't be tightened or adjusted & a new one is no better. The design needs to be changed, & these dip-brains who wasted my money on junk like lighted (double lighted) could spend the money on something useful, like outside rearview mirrors! thanx, bk. P. S. I may try to find a workable older one from a junk yard, if I get the time.

Sunroof drainlines were repaired twice, due to leakage, dealer believes that the windshield installer caused them to be disconnected. Cv joint leaking due to freeze plug in the cv joints, replace but leaks worse. Installed a battery hold down, top defroster line repaired twice, smell of burning oil.
You shouldn't have to pry this with a screwdriver on a $24,000 car.
