1 Blower problem of the 2006 Subaru Outback

Failure Date: 10/01/2006

My new 2006 Subaru Outback will not fully defrost the front windshield on the passenger side. My dealer told me there have been complaints in the past, but there is nothing they can do about it! I feel it is a real safety hazard while driving.

2 Blower problem of the 1998 Subaru Outback

Failure Date: 09/01/1997

In rainy conditions or when using the defroster, the vehicle smells like mildew came through the vents which caused occupant not to use the defroster. May cause visual difficulty, and may result in an accident. In cold weather the trapped moisture in the system causes ice to form inside the windshield making driving impossible. Mildew and bacteria are strong enough to cause wheezing and burning eyes. Dealer/manufacturer have been contacted but provided no help.
