On the morning of December 9th, 2020 I was driving to work on the freeway and was on an interchange from one freeway to another when I suddenly heard a crack. As I arrived to work a few minutes later I noticed that my windshield now had a large crack in it. I looked for a point of impact thinking a projectile might have hit it but I did not find one. At that point I remembered that I was the only one on the interchange at the time and that there was no car in front of me to send any projectiles flying back. I believe this is due to a faulty windshield as there was no other cause for the crack. Additionally, engine feels like it sputters or as if transmission does not change gears causing a delay in pick up and potentially dangerous lack of acceleration.

For a few years off and on with the car stopped and attempting to complete parking, the key would not turn from the acc to off position or release the key from the ignition. Of the several times we mentioned it to multiple dealerships, we were told it was our technique, not a problem with the vehicle. Finally a dealership reported the shift assembly was not recognizing the car was in park thus would not turn the key past the accessory position to off or release the key. This occurred with multiple keys and different people. The safety issue is that you cannot lock the car with the key in the ignition. Also, if you cannot remove the key and leave the car, you are handing the car over to whomever wants to steal it. Only with lots of time, starting the car, putting it into another gear, then back to park and turning it off again, with luck the assembly recognizes you are in park and allows the key turn to off and allows the key to be removed. The dealership who identified the defective shift assembly stated the only fix is to replace the entire assembly at a cost of $1100. 00.

Driver started car to cool it off before running errands. It was parked on the flat portion of the driveway. It was in park & I did not touch the gear shifter. I left the door open to assist in cooling the interior off more quickly and went to retrieve an item needed for the errands. When I heard a strang noice I turned around to find my car missing. It had reversed itself 180+ down the driveway, across our lawn & only stopped when it hit a 24+ tree. When I reached the vehicle the gear shifter was still in park. Inline towing had to winch it out, and noted that even though the had shifted it to neutral the back up lights were engaged. It has been towed to the auto body shop for repairs. Insurance has been notified.
