Passenger air bag light on dashboard is continually on. The dealer says that the fault lies in the bottom seat cushion and sensing apparatus. A replacement costs over $900. Air bag warning light came on and stays on now every time vehicle starts and goes. Searched online and found numerous users across north America having same issue and Suzuki motors will not treat it as a recall despite so many users having this issue. Many users reported that they took vehicle to dealers multiple times, paid money, and did not even get the problem fixed. Suzuki vehicles are a joke based on my experience of owning one. The cars are so delicate and fragile. This airbag warning light being on is a very dangerous issue. We don't want to find out that while we are driving on a freeway, the air bags deploy for no reason and causes a crash. Or worst god forbid that it did not deploy in an accident. You should really press on government to force these greedy businesses to treat such safety issues not only free of charge, but by professional mechanics who get the job done right the first time. The internet is full of stories about people taking this car to dealers for this problem multiple times and not getting it fixed after so much time and money wasted. If anything happens, I will not hesitate to sue Suzuki corp.

In mid July my airbag warning light came on in my vehicle. I took it to my local Suzuki dealership where I was told by an associate it would be atleast $1800. 00 to resolve the issue. My vehicle wasn't even brought into the service department for a diagnostic. Unable to afford a repair of that magnitude I'm concerned for the safety of my family if the airbag system doesnt deploy in the event of an accident. Seraching the internet I've noticed this issue is common with Suzukis 05' and up. Mine being an 08' my warranty expired the same month about 2weeks earlier so they said there wasnt anyway around the $1800 charge. I believe this issue should be recalled so a basically new car doesnt have a faulty expensive and apparently extensive repair due within the 36,000 mile/3year warranty period. Please research this issue and contact Suzuki motors about this issue.
