Steering Failed problems of the 2017 Tesla Model X

Failure Date: 03/10/2021

The contact owns a 2017 Tesla Model X. The contact stated that at start-up, the steering wheel failed to operate as needed causing the vehicle to be difficult to steer. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken Tesla (530 n state rt 17, paramus, NJ 07652, (201) 225-2544) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the u-joint needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 74,000.
